6. Chapter Six
Chapter Six
W illa wasn’t sure she would have been able to send the text to the captain without the amazing women at her back. She’d told him she wanted to talk and she heard he was looking for her. His reply had been where and when. She’d replied with the address then directed him to come alone. Remi had believed he would think she was all alone too. They’d darkened the lights and cleared a large area for Willa to work within. Sarah had disconnected a couple items so even if he flipped the switch the other lights would not come on. They wanted him to believe she was alone.
Willa stood with her back to the door, listening for the sound of it opening. She waited as he walked in. She kept reminding herself, she wasn’t alone.
“You’re a hard woman to find. I’m going to enjoy teaching you a lesson.”
Willa breathed deep before turning. The sisters had coached her on what to say. They wanted his confession before he received what he deserved.
“A lesson like what you did overseas? That type of lesson?”
“Yes. Though I plan on making sure you don’t get away this time.”
The bark of his voice scraped along every nerve she had making her want to run and hide. But she wasn’t going to. She deserved to stand up.
“You forced me when I turned you down.”
He chuckled, “You women are all the same. You want it but always fight. I enjoy a good fight. It’s time we finished ours.”
He walked closer. Willa trembled but held her ground. She had back up waiting in the dark and they were taping him.
“No one wants you. I certainly didn’t. You’re not attractive and that nasty smell that seems to come from your pores makes me want to puke.”
Willa enjoyed seeing the flush rise on his face and seeing his mouth tighten. Beth had suggested getting out all the things she disliked about him. Remi had agreed, mentioned anger made people say things they normally wouldn’t.
“You’re going to be sorry for that. I’ll make you eat those words.”
Willa’s watch vibrated with a message.
He’s off balance. Go in for the kill. You’ve got this.
“You’re not going to make me do anything. I’m not worried about you hurting my team any more. I’m going to show you how pathetic you are and give you what you deserve.”
He walked a couple steps closer. He believed he had the advantage but Willa knew differently. She wanted him to admit one more thing before she pounded out all her frustrations.
“Your moves when you attacked me seemed practiced. How many women had you attacked before me? One, five, fifteen?”
He laughed again, making her want to smack the conceited smirk off his face. “Let’s put it like this. You weren’t even my favorite. You’re just the one that got away. I don’t like unfinished business. I quit counting after number thirty. I mean, I had to do something to relieve the boredom. Women should have never been allowed to serve. I’m just doing my part to keep the ranks strong.”
Willa keep her eyes on him deciding where she wanted to hit first. Everyone was positive he was too arrogant to believe she’d try anything.
Got it. Swing away.
The text gave her the okay to get rid of all this anger she had. He stepped closer and she leaned in whispering so he’d lean even closer.
“Did you know what I wanted to do with you?”
As he leaned forward, she grabbed his shoulders, forcing him lower. She quickly brought her knee up, slamming it into his groin. When his hands reached to cover his junk, she grasped the back of his neck, banging it into her knee. The satisfying crunch of breaking bones was music to her ears. She released his neck, letting him drop groaning to the floor. She stepped on his crotch pressing down hard until he screamed like a wounded animal. She backed a couple steps away to watch him.
“I feel like that was a little anticlimactic.”
Beth walked closer. “Cameras are off. We can wait until he can stand again. Do you want him in the ring with you? After hearing the number of women who he did this too, I think we’re all willing to take a turn when you get tired.”
Remi walked closer carrying her cattle prod. “We need to wake him up because I want to use this on him and you all know my man is eventually going to figure out something’s off.”
Sarah, Ellie, Rose and Winnie joined her. Rose was holding a bucket of water. “Shall we make sure he’s awake?”
“I think the groaning is telling us he’s awake. Does anyone else think he sounds like that one time the cow got caught in the barbed wire? It’s almost a mooing sound.”
Willa glanced at Sarah wondering how these women were so calm about this.
He moved a little, rolling to his side, trying to get up while still holding his junk. “You bitch. You have to have your friends help you.”
Remington nudged his leg with her boot. “No. She doesn’t need us here. We just enjoy watching a woman give an abuser their due. It’s going to be a fair fight if you can ever man up. Willa’s right. You are pathetic. I have high school kids that could fight better than you.”
“I think when Willa says she’s done that we should hit him with the cattle prod at least thirty times for the women he said he abused.”
Rose was a little blood thirsty but Willa liked how she was thinking. He needed to pay for all those women he’d hurt.
They all scooted back a little as the captain started to rise. Willa raised her hands ready to hit him. He was underestimating her because she wasn’t worried about him hurting her friends this time. She could fight back.
He stood up and immediately took a swing toward her which she dodged. He was moving a little slow. Blood dripped down his face. She was enjoying this a little. She was enraged he had done this to so many women that he’d lost count.
She moved around him ready to hit him as soon as she saw an opening. He swung again. She blocked with her left and then responded with a hard punch to his gut. She moved away before he had time to respond again. They traded blows back and forth for a couple minutes until she realized she was done. She’d proved she could outsmart him. She’d landed numerous blows on him and he’d only made contact once with her face. Cruise wasn’t going to be happy with the swelling she could feel on her face but she didn’t care. She’d fought back without worrying about the consequences. She looked toward Remi and nodded. The women were just waiting for her to say she was satisfied.
As he started toward her again, Remi leaned forward, touching him with her cattle prod. He screamed, shook and dropped to the floor. Remi turned toward Jesse. “Way to go. That was awesome. I mean it’s not practical on a job but it was deeply satisfying watching him shake and scream.”
Jesse nudged him with her toe. “Yeah, but we didn’t factor in having to clean up the bodily fluids,” Jesse shuddered.
Willa didn’t believe she’d ever be in his presence and want to laugh but him writhing on the floor with the smell of urine filling the room had a grin tugging at her lips. He’d been the demon in her nightmares for so long. Today, she’d gotten to strip him of the power he’d had over her. Everything wouldn’t be perfect but she was sure she could work through any issues with a therapist. Knowing he couldn’t get to her gave her hope for her future with Cruise.
“So, what do you want to do with him? We have enough I think to have an investigation launched.”
Willa looked at her abuser as he lay on the floor with blood, snot and tears running down his face. With the help of her friends, she’d had her time with him today. She wasn’t sure if they were offering to have him disappear but that would be too easy on him. She wanted him to face what he’d done and she wanted the other women to have some satisfaction. He deserved to suffer for what he’d done.
“I want him to pay and I want the women he hurt to know he’s paying for it.”
Remi nodded. “Any of you guys want a piece of him before we hand him over to the authorities?”
The men walked out of the darkness with Cruise heading toward her. She hadn’t realized they’d joined them. The fact he’d been here having her back but not taking over brought tears to her eyes. He understood her on a deeper level. His grin was so wide she could see his white teeth within his beard. She was looking forward to seeing his smile for the rest of her life. He picked her up around the waist, holding her high against his chest.
“My Brave Heart, you’re even more a badass than I knew. You are an amazing woman. I should have known you could take care of him all on your own. I just really wanted to make everything better for you.”
She relished the feel of his arms around her and slid her hands against his cheeks. She leaned down kissing his forehead. “I know.”
“Remi, what the hell? I thought we had a plan.”
She giggled at War’s attitude. Remi held up her upgraded cattle prod, shaking it toward him. “Husband, it was your plan. At no time did you ask Willa want she wanted to do. If you had, we would have been happy to plan with you. While you decided you all knew better, we chose to let Willa do what she wanted.”
War closed his eyes and shook his head. When he opened them, he stared at Willa. “I apologize, Willa, for not asking for your take on the plan. Sometimes I forget that the Bluff Creek Brotherhood MC attracts fierce, badass women who fight beside their men and instead I go into protective mode. But it looks like you’ll fit right in at taking out the trash when needed. Once we get him out of here, I’ll have a prospect come sanitize this mat.”
Cruise sliding her down his body had her breathing picking up. She swallowed, wondering if it would be inappropriate to have them head back to the house. She was free and she wanted to celebrate by exploring every inch of Cruise’s body. She’d been waiting for years to see him naked and have the right to taste him.
“I loved watching you kick his ass.”
Cruise paused and Willa knew exactly where he was going with it. “Go ahead. You should get in a few hits too. It’s quite freeing.”
Cruise brushed his lips on hers. “Go have fun with the women. I’ll make sure he’s still alive when he’s turned over to the authorities.”
“Yo, Willa said I should get some hits in. Let’s have someone get him cleaned up and then my fists would like a chat with him.”
