Chapter 33

33

Saturday, February 15th

W aking up next to Aaron, it feels so perfect. Watching my cherub sleep, it sets in that I have a boyfriend. My boyfriend is Aaron Olson. Who would have ever thought? I smile and throw on the hoodie. Making my way downstairs, I pick up some of the remnants from our evening—whipped cream and strawberries that got left out and various pieces of our clothing.

In the kitchen, I get coffee started for us, reliving the best Valentine’s Day of my life. It sinks in that our anniversary will be Valentine’s Day. He’s going to have to keep those wings. I chuckle to myself. That can be our little tradition. The machine beeps, and I carry the two cups up to his room.

“No pants,” he says, sitting up in bed. “My favorite.”

“That reminds me.” I chuckle. “I have to text my friends something.”

Opening up the BFF group chat, I begin typing.

Sarah Anderson

Rachel Wagner

Emily Brown

Sarah Anderson

Rachel Wagner

Goddammit! Now I’m the only single one!

Emily Brown

Nicholas has lots of ideas for St. Paddy’s …

Sarah Anderson

Are you feeling lucky, Rachel?
