30. Colton
Chapter 30
Colton
M olly slept in my arms, soundly and so deeply I hoped it erased all that she’d been through yesterday. I held her a little bit tighter and a little bit closer, grateful to every energy in the universe that she was safe and in my arms. In my bed. If Wyatt and I had gone west instead of east, it would’ve taken another hour before we found her, and who knows what that asshole had planned for her?
I didn’t even want to think about it.
“Good lord,” Molly groaned. “You’re thinking so loud it woke me up.”
Her words tugged a deep, rusty laugh from me before I leaned forward and pressed a kiss to the sensitive skin between her shoulder and neck. “Sorry for waking you.”
Molly turned in my arms, hitching one leg over my hip as she snuggled in close. “Don’t be. You saved me, Colton, in more ways than one. Thank you,” she said in a soft, sultry whispered tone before her lips descended on mine. The kiss was slow and sweet, a simmering cauldron that was on the verge of bubbling over. It was the kind of kiss that made a man breathless, that made him forget he was a gentleman and needed to go slower. Gentler.
“Molly,” I growled, digging my fingers into her hips and ass.
“That’s me, Colt. I’m right here.” She pressed another kiss to my lips and then my jaw and my neck.
My cock was hard and aching, and I pulled back a little more.
She frowned. “Colton, I love you and I’m not just saying this because you saved me yesterday. I wanted to tell you sooner, but I was too damn scared to push the words past my lips. But as I sat in that dirty little shack yesterday, the one thing I regretted above all else was that you didn’t know how I truly felt about you. So, I’m saying it now. I love you, Colton McCall.”
My heart raced inside my chest, pounding like the early strains of a rock ballad at her words. “You sure?”
She nodded eagerly, her lips spread into a wide, confident smile. “I’m positive that I love you. Why?”
“Because I love you too, and I wanted to give you a chance to back away if you weren’t sure.”
“Oh, I’m sure.” She smacked my chest with a playful smile. “So, so sure,” she purred and hitched her leg a little higher over my hip. “In fact,” she reached for me and lined our bodies up so that I slipped into her wet heat easily, perfectly, as if we’d been doing this for years. “Oh, yes!” Molly tossed her head back, her full lips pressed into a satisfied smile.
My hips rocked into hers slowly at first, but she was so tight and so fucking wet that my hips began to move of their own volition. “Molly,” I growled and gripped her hip, thrusting deeper and faster. “You feel so good.”
“So do you,” she moaned, grabbing onto my shoulders as she kept rhythm with me until our slow moves grew faster and more frantic, until the sound of our moans mixed with hot, slick skin smacking together in frenzied passion. “Colton,” she moaned my name again and again. “I’m so close.”
“I know,” I bit out through clenched teeth. “Let go, baby. I got ya.”
“Come with me,” she urged, digging her nails into my shoulders as her hips moved faster and faster, her hot pussy clenching around me like a perfect velvet glove. “Yes!”
She was beautiful as she flew apart, teeth sinking into her bottom lip as her eyes fluttered shut and her head fell back, exposing her neck. “Love you,” I growled a heartbeat before my own orgasm crashed over me and I filled her body with my seed. “Fuck!”
“Perfect,” she sighed, shuddered, and relaxed against the bed. “Absolutely perfect.”
I couldn’t disagree with her assessment. The way the world seemed to combust when we came together was breathtaking. It was everything it should be, and I held her close as she drifted to sleep in my arms, watching every rise and fall of her chest, a rapt audience. So wildly in love I couldn’t take my eyes off her. I don’t know how long I sat there and watched her sleep, listened to the even breaths she took in her sleep, but eventually, she woke and turned to watch me.
“You’re awake.”
“I am.”
She smiled big and wide, pressing a kiss right over my chest. “Did you sleep at all?”
“Not much,” I admitted. “Just had to assure myself you were really okay.”
“I am, Colton.” Her whispered assurance was like a fist around my heart. “I’m here with you, which is exactly where I want to be.”
“You told me you loved me once before,” I told her with a smile. “The night before you made the big breakfast, you said it right as you drifted off to sleep.” I didn’t want to embarrass her, but I wanted her to know that I knew her heart.
Her cheeks turned a fiery but adorable shade of red. “I’m glad that you know that you’re loved, Colton. Because you are. You are so, so loved.”
“So are you, sweet Molly.”
Instead of a kiss, she wrapped her arms around me, pressed her cheek to my chest, and squeezed me tight. “Love you. So much.”
Before I could say the words back, my bedroom door smacked open, and a raven-haired tornado burst in, jumping on the bed with a wide smile at the sight of Molly. “You’re back! Molly’s back,” he shouted and flung himself at her.
Molly wrapped her arms around him and squeezed tight. “I’m back. How are you?”
“Good.” The words were muffled because his face was buried in her hair. “I was scared for you.”
“You were brave, and because of that, here I am right now.” She stroked his hair, wild from sleep, with a soft smile on her face. “You told Peanut Butter what I said?”
He nodded eagerly. “Yep. And Billy was there, and I told him everything that happened, and we went right out to find Daddy.”
Just as she wanted him to, I realized. She really was an incredible woman through and through. “You’re my hero, Hunter, you know that?”
“Me?”
She nodded. “You and your dad, and I think that deserves a big ol’ family breakfast. What do you think?”
“Yeah,” he shouted and pushed to his feet, jumping on the bed before he scrambled off excitedly. “I’ll help.”
“But first,” she began with a smile.
“First I gotta brush my teeth,” he shouted as he ran from the room.
“You are amazing, Molly. Just in case I haven’t said it before, I need you to know that you are amazing. Incredible.”
“You make me feel incredible, Colton.” She kissed me long and slow, pulling back with a breathless smile. “You want to shower first or second?”
“Second. I’ll make you come again and then shower while you get breakfast started. How does that sound?”
“Perfect,” she purred. “Just like you.”
I was nowhere near perfect, but when a woman like Molly looked at a man like he was perfect, like he was everything she ever wanted in a man, then that man worked like hell every damn day of his life to be perfect for her.
Worthy of her.
Everything for her.
Everything, period.
