Chapter 29 #2
Angie swore that a look of challenge filled North’s face as he stepped toward her. “You don’t think that Jared could own you if he wanted to?”
Jared cleared his throat. “I prefer that the people I own are with me willingly.”
Right . . . but . . . hmm. There was a lot to unpack in that statement. While it seemed that Jared was being rational and was agreeing with her . . . he still sounded a bit deranged.
Because who would willingly want to be owned?
Jared brushed her hair off her face. “Of course if you agreed to be mine, then it’s for life. I wouldn’t let you go. I would keep you, own you, possess you.”
She sucked in a breath, staring up into his intense hazel-colored eyes.
She couldn’t belong to Jared . . . she wanted a life of her own.
And then there was his . . . his . . . what was North?
But she was reading too much into what they were saying. All he’d suggested was that he help her with her Little. And this was just for one night.
“You really wouldn’t be jealous?” she asked North. “If Jared, um, Daddied me.”
Was that a word?
“Why would I be? I know how Jared feels about me.”
“North is mine. He will always be mine.”
“I’m not a Daddy Dom,” North said. “But under the right circumstances, I could be a Top.”
Why was he staring at her so intently as he said that? Her breath caught in her lungs.
“Are you thinking about replacing me?” Jared asked lightly.
“No,” North said. “Never.”
“So we’d share you?” she asked Jared.
“Share me?” Jared stared down in amusement. “No, baby, that’s not the way this would work. We would share you.”
Holy moly.
When North said between them, he’d really meant between them?
She glanced at North.
“I didn’t think you would . . . that you would want that. I didn’t even know that you liked women.”
North tilted his head to the side. “I don’t like women or men. I am only attracted to Jared.”
Oh. Right.
So she’d misunderstood? That was embarrassing.
“But there is something about you . . . something that I want,” North said.
“And do you always get what you want?” she asked.
“No. Not always. Jared said that we have to let you go if that’s what you truly desire. If I got my way, I would just keep you.”
Did he mean forever?
Oh, she was so confused.
Her heart was racing. “This took a very intense turn.”
“You don’t have to do anything that you don’t wish to do,” Jared told her, cupping the side of her face. “But you also shouldn’t deny yourself something if you really want it. Give yourself to us for one night and if you still want to leave tomorrow, we will let you go.”
She’d always thought she’d wanted ordinary. But now that she was here with the two of them . . . that seemed like the furthest thing from what she desired.
“Do you only want Jared?” North’s words had her whipping toward him. His tone suggested he couldn’t care less about her answer either way.
However, she had a feeling that that wasn’t the case.
Maybe she should try to deny her attraction to North, but she couldn’t hurt North like that.
“I don’t only want Jared,” she told him. “How could I?”
“Maybe because I kidnapped you and held you prisoner,” North suggested. “I am likely the cause of your nightmares and sleepless nights.”
“No, Fergus is the cause of those,” she said. “And before you argue that what you did was similar, it really wasn’t. I’m not saying it was right, because it wasn’t. But you never hurt me physically. In fact, you tried your best to ensure I wasn’t harmed.”
North just gave a small nod of acknowledgment. Which she knew was likely all she would get.
“I don’t know if this is a smart idea.”
There was no reason why she should want them. One had kidnapped her and showed no sign that she was anything other than a nuisance.
While the other could be cold one moment and kind the next and she wasn’t sure who she was going to get.
But when was she ever going to get another opportunity like this?
“Or it could be the smartest idea you’ve ever had,” Jared told her huskily.
“Let us take care of everything for one night. Your punishment and pleasure. Let us make the decisions and you can just be. You don’t have to worry, you don’t have to second guess everything.
And if you want to leave tomorrow, we’ll make it happen. ”
Jared drew her in close while North moved in behind her. North was actually touching her. And he wasn’t doing it while behind one of his masks. He wasn’t pretending to be normal or sane.
He was showing her all of him. And she thought he was the most beautiful thing she’d ever seen.
North’s hand landed lightly on her stomach.
“If we . . . if we do this . . . that doesn’t mean I’m staying,” she said breathlessly. “It doesn’t mean anything.”
Jared nodded slowly while tilting her head back with his finger under her chin. “Right. It means that you want one night of pleasure with the two of us.”
“But if you become addicted to that pleasure, that’s not our fault,” North told her.
Jared smirked. “Indeed. You’ll just have to live with the aftereffects of being with us.”
Yeah, that was kind of what she was worried about. Because being with the two of them would change her. She could feel it. And how would anyone or anything ever measure up after?
What if she freaked out like she had earlier in the library? How embarrassing would that be?
She’d humiliate herself.
Then there was her problem with orgasming.
But what if you have the best night of your life? With two men you find extremely sexy. How many other men have turned you on like this?
None.
Exactly zero.
How could she ever live with herself if she didn’t try? If she didn’t experience the two of them?
Angie knew she’d always have regrets.
They weren’t ordinary.
They weren’t a forever thing.
But right now, right here, she could have her greatest desire. She could have two men who would change her forever.
“I want to do it. It’s a yes.”
