24. Unapologetic
CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR
Unapologetic
Deja bit down on Ian’s shoulder as her fingers dug into the back of his scalp. The slit in her dress had torn from how high her thigh had been hiked up to his waist, completely exposing her bare ass that Caleb was palming, squeezing, and unapologetically spreading with both hands.
She didn’t know when it happened. How they made her drop her defenses and submit herself to them, as if she didn’t still harbor some bitterness.
Caleb and Ian evidently did not like each other. She had heard kinder words exchanged between divorcees. And yet, it seemed, that her standing pantyless, vulnerable, and bare stoked an almost feral attraction that temporarily negated their disdain for each other to place their focus on her.
She was disturbed by her body’s visceral reaction to their touch. Fully clothed, they hadn’t even penetrated her, and yet she trembled as if being touched for the first time.
“God, you’re so fucking sensitive, baby…
” Caleb groaned into her back as he firmly massaged her breasts.
Her dress was practically hanging off her, chest exposed as Caleb possessed her from behind.
His thumb teasing her nipples until she was hard and aching.
With one hand on her ass, sliding between her cheeks to tease her pussy, and the other hand kneading her bosom, Deja felt imprisoned in Caleb’s cradling embrace.
His oppressively muscular body pressed against her back, tense with the struggle of restraint to keep himself from ripping her dress completely off.
Deja had nowhere to go with Ian’s fingers wrapped around her throat. His thumb gently caressing the wet, swollen bite mark he left on her neck. Her legs trembled, barely able to stand on her own as his fingers between her legs fought Caleb’s for the pleasure of making her moan.
Several spots on her body throbbed and ached from how hard they sucked on her skin, nibbling their desire and marking their territory.
Tilting her head back with his fingers bracing her neck, Ian held Deja’s gaze, watching for her reaction every time she whimpered. His thumb pulled her bottom lip before slipping into her mouth, and Ian’s gaze darkened as his Adam’s apple bobbed.
“Naturally… the poor woman hasn’t been touched in what must feel like ages. Isn’t that right, sweetheart?” Ian grinned, sliding his fingers inside of her. “Certainly seems that way from my end…”
Deja felt her arousal dripping down the inside of her thigh before Caleb’s fingers wiped them up, painting her skin with it. “I love how wet you are…” Caleb hummed into her ear. “I’ve been dying to touch you again…”
Those words seemed to snap Deja out of her erotic hypnosis. She pushed Ian away and stumbled out of Caleb’s grip. Pulling her dress down over her hips and trying to cover her breasts, Deja breathed heavily with a shake of her head. “We can’t- I can’t-” she stammered.
“Why?”
Deja looked up at the sound of Ian’s baritone voice laced with irritation and saw them both staring at her with startling impatience and ravenous desire. “Well… because-” she started.
“Because what?” Caleb asked restlessly.
Deja blinked, completely stunned. Did they seriously intend to have their way with her right there? “Guys, we’re at a banquet-”
“And?” Ian asked impatiently.
“ And ?! And you two just killed a bunch of people, chopped their bodies into pieces, and tossed them into garbage bags!” she blurted.
“Correction. Ian killed them. I just helped clean up his mess,” Caleb smiled.
Ian snorted. “Kiss ass.”
“I’d like to, but she won’t let me,” Caleb smirked.
Deja scoffed. “This room is full of dead bodies-”
“And yet, that didn’t stop you from cumming,” Ian smiled charmingly with his hands in his slack pockets. “... twice .”
“Actually, it was three times… when I fingered her ass,” Caleb said, biting his lip, his eyes raking over her body.
“... ah… How could I forget? My, you really are sensitive…” Ian grinned.
Deja’s body temperature skyrocketed as she flushed with embarrassment. She didn’t know who she wanted to yell at more. “Caleb!” she snapped.
“Yes, beautiful?” Caleb asked, raising his brows.
“I thought you were supposed to be the innocent one,” she said, and Ian snorted.
Caleb smiled warmly. “I may not enjoy killing people the way my psychotic cousins do, but… baby, there’s nothing innocent about what I wanna do to you…”
Deja’s eyes switched from Ian sensually nibbling his thumb as if he were trying to savor her taste, his gaze heavy upon her, to Caleb habitually chewing his bottom lip, tilting his head to the side. The look in their eyes was dangerously alluring.
She sharply exhaled. “I think I’d like to go home now.”
Ian smiled knowingly. “...of course…”
Deja’s legs shook with anxiety as she waited outside the building for Ian and Caleb to finish cleaning up. It amazed her that the people inside the banquet were so oblivious to the catastrophe that occurred behind those closed doors.
Pulling her dress down, she rubbed her arms against the wind.
Besides Ian stealing her panties, she felt vastly underdressed for the weather.
She shivered when she felt something drape over her shoulders and immediately smelled Ian’s cologne as he pulled his coat around her. “Thank you, Ian…” she said quietly.
“For the orgasms?”
Deja nearly choked. “For the coat!” she snapped. Ian chuckled, amused. “...and for supporting me tonight. Even if I don’t support your killing.”
Ian wrapped his arms around her, staring into her eyes.
“That’s fine…” Affectionately brushing his nose against hers, Ian leaned in and pressed his lips to her lips.
He squeezed her waist as his tongue worked her mouth open.
“Haven’t you tormented me enough…? Let me in, darling…
” he groaned into her mouth. “I need to taste you…”
Deja shuddered against him before pulling back. She licked her lips and wiped her mouth as she pulled his jacket tighter around her. “Where’s Caleb?”
“Getting his car. He’ll take you home while I finish cleaning.” Ian eyed her curiously. “Unless you prefer I take you…”
Deja lowered her head to escape his gaze. “I think I just need to sleep…”
But Ian grabbed her chin and tilted her head back up to meet his eyes. “Please know that not even your slumber will keep you from me. I lost you once before. I won’t lose you again…”
Deja scoffed. “You gonna break into my room now?”
Ian smiled innocently. “It’s not like I haven’t done it before.”
Deja blinked at him, startled as Caleb pulled up. “Come on, Deja. I’ll get you home,” Caleb said.
She stared at Ian, perturbed as he grabbed her hand and led her to the car. Deja looked at Ian through the window as he kissed the back of her fingers. “Ian,” she started. “You said that you loved me. If I asked you to stop killing… would you?”
Ian looked at her thoughtfully. “If I asked you to stop breathing… would you?”
Deja looked at him, confused. “But, I can’t-”
“Exactly,” he smiled and then looked at Caleb. “Be sure she gets home safely.”
Sitting in the garden, Deja playfully lifted Chloe into the air. Their noses nuzzling as Chloe cooed in Deja’s face.
Deja jumped, startled at the sound of dishes crashing and a door slamming before Jax stormed outside with a towel wrapped around his bleeding arm. “Jax!” she panicked. “What-”
“I’m fine,” Jax said tensely. His shoulders relaxed as he took Chloe into his arms and gently kissed the top of her head.
“Why are you bleeding?” Deja asked.
Jax peppered Chloe’s head with kisses before handing her back to Deja. “I have to make a run.”
Deja watched him grab a hammer, his mask, and a bag before she glanced at Keith, who was waiting by the car… wearing his mask and holding his machete. “Where are you going?” she asked impatiently.
Firmly grabbing her chin, Jax pulled her towards him before planting an angry kiss on her lips. He turned around to walk away when Deja grabbed his arm and yanked him back. “Are you really just gonna ignore me?!” she snapped.
Jax looked at her hand on his arm before his eyes raised to meet hers. Deja swallowed hard at his dark gaze and released his arm. Jax’s jaw tensed. “Do not leave this property until I return.” It sounded like a threat. She didn’t understand why he seemed so angry.
Jax looked her up and down before he threw the bag over his shoulder and walked out through the gate. Keith playfully saluted her before following Jax. Deja could feel a bridled rage building inside her when it came to Jax. It’s like everything he did pissed her off.
Slowly exhaling, she kissed Chloe’s forehead to calm herself down.
She looked towards the door where Caleb stepped outside, carrying a bag of soil…
and wearing a towel wrapped around his bleeding bicep.
Deja’s face fell at the implication as Caleb approached her and set the soil on the ground.
“You’re planting the krythnoids today, right? ” he asked.
“Um, yeah…”
“I know a better spot with richer soil. This entire area is our property, so you don’t have to worry about intruding on anyone else’s land.”
“Are you sure?” she asked. “You really don’t have to, Caleb.”
Caleb looked at her knowingly. “I know how important your work is to you, Deja.” Her cheeks warmed over as she watched Caleb load bags and tools into his truck.
In less than 10 minutes, Caleb arrived in an open part of the woods.
While he unloaded the truck, Deja picked out a grassy spot beneath towering, beautiful trees where she placed a blanket and pillows as a nest for Chloe.
“My god, you were right,” Deja said in awe. Sitting on the blanket, she took in the greenery. “It’s breathtaking out here.”
“Yeah… it is…”
