Chapter 19
JASE
"Oh, by the way, I made some updates to your Aunt Macie folder," Emilio said, turning back from the door.
The guys had dropped by on their way to a date, bringing with them the folder I'd put together to help anyone standing in for me as Aunt Macie.
Once I'd let go of the fact that Emilio had gotten involved with one of our 'clients', I'd realized he was actually a decent guy.
He certainly seemed to adore Lucas and from what Eddy had said, he'd never stayed with one person long enough to catch feelings before, so this was a big deal.
"Oh, cool, thanks. And thanks again for standing in for me. I'd say you did a fine job but I think the evidence speaks for itself."
Emilio slipped his arm around Lucas, who smooshed in closer, while grinning cheekily at me. Emilio's attention lasered in on his boyfriend, and their lips met in a sloppy kiss.
"Uh-um," I cleared my throat noisily before tongues could get involved. Seriously, there was no way Emilio was getting away with calling out Eddy and I on our PDA anymore.
Emilio pulled away, giving Lucas a quick kiss on the forehead.
"I think you should change the name to Aunt Macie's Dating Service," he chuckled, sliding his hand over Lucas' ass and giving it a squeeze.
"EDDY!" I yelled. "Come and kick these guys out before they do something dirty on the carpet!"
My handsome boyfriend sauntered out from the bathroom. His hair was dark with water, his muscled chest glistening under the downlights. The fluffy grey towel wrapped around his waist looked dangerously close to falling off.
"We were just leaving," Emilio laughed. "Besides, you two are..."
"Don't say a word!" I pointed an accusatory finger at him.
Emilio laughed again, opening the door to the apartment, and pulling Lucas through the doorway.
"Thanks for the experience!" he shouted loudly.
I cringed at the sound of an apartment door slamming shut somewhere further down the landing.
Poor Mrs. Johnson, I didn't know what she thought of the goings-on in my apartment.
Neighbors were something I hadn't had to worry about until she'd moved in a month ago.
I figured I'd better buy her some flowers later.
Then Emilio lowered his voice, and a serious note crept in as he cast an unusually soft glance at Lucas. "Seriously, thank you... and don't forget to check out the changes I made to your notes."
The door snicked shut behind them, the faint peal of Lucas' laughter muffled by the fire door as they waited for the elevator.
My delicious boyfriend was waiting for me in the middle of the apartment wearing next to nothing, and once I followed him into the bedroom, I knew we'd be tied up for hours.
But Emilio had made me curious.
I leaned over and flipped open the red folder with my Aunt Macie help notes, and quickly scanned the pages.
At first I saw nothing different, and then snorted when I found where Emilio had applied his own characteristic flavor to Aunt Macie's pickup lines.
Not only had he 'adjusted' mine, but he'd added a few of his own:
Hey handsome, wanna go for a drink? Or can I just drink you down here?
Hey, is this seat free? Mine is.
Do you come here often? 'Cause I'd rather you came at my place.
I felt the heat from across the room, had to come and warm my hands on you.
You're so hot you could burn a hole... in the sun.
Hey. I'm ____ . What should I call you while I'm coming?
Didn't I just see you kicking ass at the gym? Want to work out some other muscles with me?
Dance this song with me?
