The naked navigated down a familiar hallway, passing overturned chairs, spilled party cups, and sporadic groupings of chirping bats. He pulled open a closet door and grabbed a stack of nicely folded clothes. He had enough time to pull on his pants when the sounds he feared most entered his mind.

Luna’s haunting voice echoed through his very being. ?We’re not finished yet, Silver Wolf.?

“, it’s you!”

Dropping his shirt to the floor, he turned to see vampires he recognized from Uriah’s band. “Zak. Orpheus,” he said calmly. The voice in his head seemed to be gone now—or at least so he thought “Wh-where is everyone?”

“Uriah went to help Griff,” said Zak. “Some of the other wolves were helping us, b-but we got separated.”

“What should we do?” a panicked Orpheus asked.

remained calm, looking from vampire to vampire. “Stand very still,” he said with a smile, putting his hands on either of their shoulders as his claws protruded. “It’ll be over in just a minute.”

The sounds of Orpheus and Zak screaming filled the manor.
