As a limping made his way through the force field, he stopped before Magnus and an unconscious Fen. “He gonna be okay?” he asked, a look of defeat on his face. Magnus nodded. “Whoa. What’s happening to Pru?”

The vampire sped past the werewolves, dropping to his knees in front of Pruitt’s body as bats continued to swarm around it.

Fen suddenly jumped to his feet with great purpose. “What is it?” asked Magnus. “What did you see?”

“, the King of Wolves has returned,” said Fen. “He’s brought a gift, and you must bring it to Griff immediately.”

“What do you mean?” asked, shocked to discover that his lover’s body was fully restored. Almost on cue, Pruitt’s right hand opened up, revealing a precious necklace.

“The Moonstone Medallion!” Magnus and Fen exclaimed in unison, looking at each other in disbelief.

“More jewelry?” asked, a confused look on his face.

“With it, Griff can invoke the most powerful lycan of all time,” Fen said with urgency. “Take it to him, . Go!”

Hot tears streamed from ’s face as he admired Pruitt’s perfectly healed face. The last words the vampire heard before grabbing up the pendant and speeding away were Fen’s. “May the King of Wolves guide him.”
