Chapter 9

Chapter Nine

I pick up the bottle of Cinque and refill my glass. I will do anything for my brothers. But this? What they’re asking of me? To set up a meeting with our mother. I don’t fucking want to do it. I have a bad feeling, and I’ve always trusted my gut.

I told them I would, and I will. It’s just a matter of when. I don’t know how much longer I can avoid it before one of them goes and sees her without me. That is the last thing I want. I don’t want that woman getting in their heads, trying to worm her way into their lives.

Fuck that.

Vin is the one I worry about the most. He has questions for her. I get that, but he’s been doing well lately. He and his wife are doing well. I don’t want anyone coming in and fucking with his head.

“Hey, why are you sitting alone in the dark? That’s creepy, even for you, Gio.” Ellie flicks on the lamp next to me on the side table, momentarily blinding me.

I tilt my head to the side. My eyes roaming from my wife’s ankles all the way up to her face. My cock instantly hardens. “You think I’m creepy, Mrs De Bellis?”

“I don’t think you are. I know you are.” She smirks as she drops down to her knees in front of me. Her hands land on my thighs as she settles her body between my legs. “What’s on your mind?”

“Well, my wife is on her knees in front of me. The only thing on my mind right now is how quickly I can get her mouth wrapped around my cock.” Shifting in the chair, I make no attempt to hide the fact I have to adjust my pants.

“If you play your cards right, that might actually happen,” Ellie says while licking her lips.

Fuck me, I don’t know how this woman gets hotter every day.

“What cards are those?” I ask her, my eyes never leaving her face.

“Tell me what’s actually bothering you,” she says.

“Right now, my cock is hard as a fucking rock, Ellie, and you’re sitting here licking your lips. What do you think is bothering me?” I raise a brow at her.

Ellie shakes her head. “Nope, your filthy mouth isn’t getting you out of this one.”

“I was hoping it’d be your filthy mouth that would get me out of this one.” I give her my best smirk. It doesn’t work. Or she’s gotten better at pretending I’m not effecting her the way she affects me.

“Gio, talk to me. That’s why you married me,” she says.

“I married you because I love you more than I’ve ever loved anything before. I married you because I can’t imagine living without you. I didn’t marry you to burden you with my problems, Ellie.” Leaning forward, I pick her up and sit her on my lap. My arms circle around her waist and my face burrows into her neck as I inhale her fruity scent.

“It’s not burdening me, Gio. I want to help. I can’t help you if you don’t talk to me.” She sighs.

“They all want to meet her,” I grunt.

“Your brothers? Who do they want to meet?”

“Our mother.”

“And you don’t,” Ellie states, because this is a fact she already knows.

“Vin says he has questions for her.”

“I can see why. You can’t stop them from meeting her, Gio. She is their mother too,” Ellie reminds me.

I shrug. “I can if I kill her first.”

“You could, but they’d resent you for it.”

“Probably.”

“What exactly are you worried about? What’s the worst that could happen if they meet her?”

“She could fuck with their heads. Especially Vin’s. That kid doesn’t need another parent fucking him over.” My hands aimlessly glide up and down Ellie’s back.

“But if you’re there, you can make sure she doesn’t. And Vin isn’t a helpless kid. If he wants to talk to her, you need to not only allow him, but help him. He looks up to you, Gio. Don’t let him down.”

“Why are you so damn smart?” I ask her.

Ellie lifts a shoulder. “Not smart. I once risked my entire career because some client got handsy with me in a show house and I didn’t stop him.”

“Pretty sure that client ended up getting a good deal out of it.” I laugh.

“Meh, he paid above market value for a house and got stuck with me for the rest of his life. I think I got the better deal.” Ellie leans forward. Her lips press against mine briefly before she pulls away. “What are you going to do? About your mother?”

“I’m going to call Tommy, the president of the biker club she’s shacked up with, and set up a meet.”

“Good. They need it, and as much as you don’t want to do it, I think it’ll be good for you. For closure,” Ellie says.

I don’t tell her that the only closure I want with that woman is a hole between her eyes. I don’t want her playing house with some filthy biker while forgetting she even had kids to begin with.

“I think we can make that other thing on your mind happen now.” Ellie smiles as she slides off my lap. Her fingers grab my belt buckle, undoing it before she moves on to my button and zipper. Then her hand reaches into my pants and frees my cock.

“Fuck. Yes, let’s make that happen.” My fist wraps around her ponytail as she lowers her head, her lips closing around my cock. Fuck me. “So good. Your mouth feels so fucking good,” I groan as she takes me all the way in before humming around my shaft.

I let her set the pace. As much as I want to take control, fuck the shit out of her hot little mouth, I don’t. I know she gets off on doing this, and I want her pussy dripping fucking wet. Because as soon as she’s finished, I’m going to fuck her into next Sunday.
