29. Fiona
Chapter Twenty-Nine
FIONA
The moment Cormac swipes the keycard and pushes open the door of our suite at the Plaza, I know there’s no way in hell we’re going to make our dinner reservation.
“Holy shit,” I whisper.
The room is ridiculous. The bed alone is the size of a small continent with plush white linen and a mountain of pillows.
Cormac glances at me as a knowing smile tugs at his lips.
“Don’t get any ideas.”
“I already have several,” I tease as I eye the bed.
“We have dinner reservations in thirty minutes.”
“That’s plenty of time?—”
“For you to get ready. Go.” He nudges me toward the bathroom.
I try everything I can to lure him into staying in and calling room service.
While the water heats up for my shower, I slip out of my clothes, and wrap a towel around myself and head out into the main room.
Cormac is lounging on the bed, scrolling on his phone, looking like he’s on the set of a magazine shoot.
I scowl. “Seriously?”
Cormac glances up at me and frowns. “What?”
“You’re not allowed to look like that and not expect consequences.”
“Consequences?” His lips twitch.
“You could at least have the decency to join me in the shower.”
“It’s called having self-control. Now, go and shower.”
I roll my eyes dramatically before escaping into the bathroom to shower.
The mirror is completely fogged over from the steam, so I can’t fully see my reflection as I slip on the pale blue silk dress I brought from home on impulse.
I’m pretty sure it might even be Zoe’s, but I know she wouldn’t mind if it was being used for a good cause, like torturing Cormac.
The material is soft against my skin and clings to all the places Cormac’s hands tend to linger.
When I step back into the room, he’s busy fastening his tie, that is until he sees me.
He freezes as his eyes roam over me, and even from across the room, I can see them glaze over.
“Fuck it. Dinner’s not important,” he grunts before stalking toward me.
“Wait.” I place a hand on his chest, and Cormac groans as his eyes flick to my breasts that are barely contained by my dress. “What happened to having self-control?”
He fingers the material. “That was before you decided to wear this. This dress should come with a warning label.”
“I wasn’t sure about the color?—”
My words cut off as Cormac’s hands slide over my waist, pulling me flush against him as his lips brush the curve of my throat.
I laugh softly, enjoying how easy it is to unravel him.
As Cormac nips at my skin, my gaze drifts toward the balcony and the breathtaking view of the city.
“Cormac,” I gasp, and he pulls away.
“Something wrong?”
I shake my head as I look over to the balcony again.
He follows my line of sight, and I see the moment he realizes what I’m silently asking.
The old me would have never considered something as reckless as having sex out there, but Cormac makes me feel safe enough to step out of my comfort zone.
“Come on.” His voice is rough with need.
He takes my hand and leads me outside, and I stare in wonder at the snow-covered city beneath us.
It almost doesn’t look real, as if I just stepped into a snow globe.
Cormac steps behind me, and I relax against him as his hands settle on my hips.
“We can stop at any point,” he murmurs in my ear.
“I know.”
“Do you trust me?”
I turn my head just enough to glance at him, my heart thudding in my chest. “Yes.”
I hold his gaze as he slowly undoes my zipper. Despite the frigid air, I don’t feel cold. Not when Cormac’s body radiates enough heat for the both of us.
Cormac groans when my dress falls to the floor. “Fiona. you weren’t even wearing panties?”
I try to feign innocence as Cormac spins us around so his back is to the city skyline.
His eyes dip to my breasts and my painfully hard nipples that are practically begging for his attention.
“The dress was too tight…” My words catch in my throat as Cormac starts loosening his tie, the dark silk slipping through his fingers.
My pulse quickens as he lifts my hands above my head.
“This okay?” He brushes his knuckles over my wrists.
“Yes,” I gasp.
Satisfaction flickers in his eyes as he threads the tie around my wrists.
“Hold still.” He lifts my arms slightly toward the balcony’s overhead light fixture, guiding me until I’m barely able to touch the ground.
Heat ripples through my body from the sudden rush of adrenaline.
Cormac steps closer, his lips brushing the shell of my ear.
“Good girl,” he murmurs before dropping to his knees.
“Oh, my god.” I cling to the tie around my wrists as Cormac grips the back of my thighs and throws them over his shoulders.
But then his mouth is on my pussy, any fear I had of being caught or dying of hypothermia vanishes because that tongue…
“Remind me why I wanted to go for dinner?” Cormac runs his tongue along my slit.
I moan as I grind my hips against his face. “Something about self-control.”
Cormac sinks his fingers into my ass as he holds me against his mouth, feasting on me like a starving animal.
I whimper. “Are you sure this is safe?”
When he doesn’t answer, I glance down to find him smirking up at me, his lips wet with my arousal.
“Relax and focus on how good it feels.” He dips his tongue inside me.
My body jolts at the rush of pleasure, but between the tie around my wrists and Cormac’s hold on me, I barely move.
“See? I’ve got you. Now, relax so you can come for me.”
I don’t need to be asked twice.
My head falls back on my shoulders as I close my eyes, losing myself to the feeling of Cormac’s tongue exploring my pussy. But it doesn’t take long for the warmth from his mouth, mixed with the cold air, to leave me breathless and aching for relief.
“More,” I beg.
Cormac nips at my inner thigh, and I cry out.
“I might not have a knife on me this time, but I can still punish you. So, you better remember who is in charge here.”
“You’re the one who’s on your knees.”
I sneak a glance at Cormac to find his dark eyes glowering up at me, but I don’t balk.
He likes the game just as much as I do.
“And yet, I’m the one with all the power.” He leans in and flicks his tongue over my clit.
I cry out as my hips buck against his mouth, and Cormac chuckles darkly.
“That’s what I thought.”
His tongue finds my clit again, and this time, he runs lazy circles around it until my arousal drips down my inner thighs.
“Cormac…”
“You’ll get what you want.” He presses a kiss to my clit. “But we need to make sure you’re nice and warmed up for what I have planned after you come.”
A whimper escapes me as my inner walls clench. I need him so badly it feels like I might die.
Despite Cormac’s iron grip on my ass, I manage to move my hips just enough to increase the pressure of his tongue against my clit.
The jolt of pleasure has me crying out so loudly that I’m sure everyone on this floor would be able to hear, but I don’t care.
I was past caring the second Cormac Sullivan got on his knees.
“That’s it, baby. Ride my face.”
I do my best, but between the tie around my wrists and Cormac holding my ass, it’s all I can do to remember to breathe.
Every flick of his tongue over my clit has my hips jerking, but when my climax starts to build, Cormac pulls away and starts lazily fucking me with his tongue.
“So fucking sweet.”
“Please… Please, fuck me.”
Cormac’s breath tickles my clit as he laughs. “I am fucking you, baby.”
He sinks his tongue inside me.
My eyes roll back as that familiar tingling grows between my thighs.
“I told you. You’ll get my cock once you come.”
“I’m trying,” I grit out, but Cormac only laughs again.
“Hmm… Maybe you should try harder.”
I go to argue, but then his fingers replace his tongue and suddenly his lips are wrapped around my clit. I choke on a breath as he simultaneously starts sucking on the sensitive bud as his fingers curl inside me.
“Oh, fuck. I’m coming?—”
My entire body jolts as wave after wave of the most intense pleasure courses through me, but Cormac doesn’t stop. He only fucks me harder with his fingers, dragging out every last second of my orgasm until I physically can’t take any more.
“If I wasn’t so desperate to bury myself inside you, I would do that all fucking night.” He drags his fingers along my slit.
I stare down at him in a daze as he takes his fingers into his mouth and sucks them clean. Only then does he slide my legs off his shoulders and get to his feet.
“But I think I’ve already proven that when it comes to you, I have no self-control.”
“I think it’s mutual.”
Cormac smirks as he reaches up to untie my wrists from the fixture, but when I attempt to pull them completely free, he shakes his head.
“No.” He re-binds my wrists before bringing them to his lips and pressing a kiss to the delicate skin. “Much better. Now, bend over the railing.”
I can barely stand as my legs are shaking so badly, but I do as he asks, leaning all of my weight onto the railing and gasping as my nipples brush against the ice-cold metal.
Cormac chuckles as I hear him undo his belt. “Does that feel good, baby?”
“So good,” I moan.
“I suggest you hold on.” He grips my hip and pushes the tip of his cock inside me.
Even with how wet and ready I am for him, it still makes me cry out as my pussy stretches around him.
“Wait,” I pant, and Cormac instantly stills.
I suck a breath and slowly push my hips back.
Cormac groans as I take inch after inch, clenching around his cock until he’s fully inside me. “Fuck.”
I start sliding myself off him.
He’s not moving, letting me guide his cock inside me at my own pace. So, I go slowly, letting myself savor every thick inch of him.
“You’re so big.”
“But you take me so well. Look at you, stretching around me. Fuck, your pussy is perfect.”
I know I should be mortified by the thought of anyone hearing how dirty Cormac is talking to me, but it only turns me on more.
“Then claim it, Cormac. Show me who I belong to.”
Cormac’s answering groan sends a shiver down my spine.
I know he’s not going to hold back, so I brace myself against the railings, not caring that the entire city down below could be watching. Let them watch. Let them see how Cormac Sullivan takes what belongs to him.
His hands grip my hips to the point of pain as he pounds into me. Each thrust of his cock steals the breath from my lungs.
He’s hitting me so deep it’s a miracle my legs don’t give out.
“Cormac,” I moan as his hand roams between my legs to rub my clit.
He growls. “Louder, baby. Let everyone know who you belong to. I want you screaming out my name.”
I want to scream his name too. I want the entire city to know that Cormac Sullivan has me in the palm of his hand.
I push back against him, matching him thrust for thrust until I can’t take it anymore. I come so hard I see stars, and Cormac has to wrap an arm around my waist to keep me upright as he chases his own release.
“Oh, fuck, that’s it. Take every last drop.”
I’m practically sobbing from the pleasure as his release drips down my thighs.
My inner walls continue to spasm around his cock until Cormac finally stills.
The second he slides free and the high starts to fade, the cold settles over me, and I start shivering uncontrollably.
Cormac quickly spins me around and bundles me into his arms as he carries me back inside.
“Come on. Let’s get you in the bath, and I can order some room service.”
I sigh as I lean against his chest. “Oh, I could definitely get used to this.”
After soaking in the bath, I throw on my pajamas as well as the fluffy robe I found in the closet and tuck myself up in the enormous bed while Cormac takes a shower. I’m exhausted and can’t wait to eat some food and fall asleep wrapped up in Cormac’s arms all night.
But my night of peace is short-lived. I’ve barely made it past the opening credits of some sitcom on the TV when my phone starts buzzing on the nightstand.
The sound makes my stomach drop even before I look at the screen.
Lorcan.
Of course. Because the universe refuses to let me have one night where I can pretend that Cormac and I can have a future.
I swallow hard and answer before the call times out.
“About time. I’ve been calling you for the past hour.”
I glance toward the bathroom door.
The shower is still running, the steam filtering under the frame, but for how much longer, I’m not sure.
“I can’t talk now. Cormac’s here.”
“I need updates.”
He makes it sound like Cormac is a faulty machine I’m monitoring, not a man who just fucked me like I was something he couldn’t bear to lose.
“I’ll call later,” I lie.
“No. You’ll talk now.” Lorcan’s tone sharpens, and I flinch as I glance at the bathroom door again. “Did he say anything useful? Anything about?—”
“No. Nothing.”
There’s a beat of silence, and I know I’m running out of time.
“You better not be lying. Believe me, girl. You don’t want me to question where your loyalties are.”
Because you won’t like the answer.
“Lorcan, I said I can’t talk right now.”
I hang up before he can spout off any more threats.
The moment the call disconnects, I press the heel of my hand to my forehead, trying to breathe past the tightness in my chest.
The more time I spend with Cormac, the harder it is to believe the things Lorcan has told me about him. The violence. The cruelty. The cold-blooded ambition. I haven’t seen any of that.
I’ve seen a man who reads to his son at night and wakes up early to make him pancakes. A man who is willing to go above and beyond to earn my forgiveness for choosing to protect his son above all else.
And I’m supposed to betray him.
The bathroom door opens, and I almost jump out of my skin as Cormac steps out, a towel slung low around his hips and his damp hair dripping onto his shoulders.
His eyes flick to my phone. “Everything okay?”
I force a smile. “Yeah. It was just Zoe checking in.”
Cormac studies me longer than he should, like he can sense the internal war I’m fighting inside my head. But then the moment’s gone, and he quickly throws on a pair of boxers and climbs into bed beside me.
“I could get used to this,” he murmurs, pressing a kiss to my temple.
“Me too…”
And that’s how I know I’m in trouble.
Because the more I get to know him, the more I realize the complexity of the mess I’ve tangled myself in.
The problem is, I have no idea how to fix it without losing everything.
