Chapter 13

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

RORY

Caden and Tyler left us alone, even going as far as spending the night at Tyler’s so Lukas didn’t feel so smothered, but Josie was done with me slacking off at school and ruined our plans the next morning to lay around in bed.

“Good morning,” Josie said brightly as she flung my curtains open, turning and frowning when she noticed Lukas in bed beside me. “We’ll talk about this later. Right now, your education is calling. You too, Lukas.”

“One more day?” I begged with a groan, and she rolled her eyes.

“No. If you’re not ready to return to society, then you need to go to therapy.

I’m not saying this to be mean, but laying around the house isn’t helping you.

I didn’t mind you missing school at first because you’d spend your evenings catching up, but the headmaster called and you haven’t returned the last couple of things.

So, back to school or therapy. Breakfast is on the table, and your coffee is being made.

Uniform is hanging up in your bathroom.”

“You’re serious?”

“Absolutely. Women can’t run the world from their beds. They get up and go out into the world to threaten men’s masculinity,” she teased, waggling a finger at Lukas. “Do I need to give you two the safe sex talk?”

I smirked, peering at her from under the blanket. “No. He gave me a safe word. We’re good.”

“Safe sex in my house is not having it at all. Make smart choices,” she huffed, ignoring her phone for a second as it started ringing, not finished scolding us.

“I expect you both to remain at school until the end of the day. Go to your classes. And Lukas? You call me if your mother makes a scene like that again, I’ll handle it.

I heard all about it. I hope you’re alright. ”

“I’m fine,” he mumbled, not wanting to talk about it.

She eyed him, knowing he was full of shit, but she finally nodded and pulled her phone from her pocket to answer the call, pressing it to her ear on her way out and turning into the business woman the rest of the world got to see.

Lukas huffed, draping his forearm across his eyes to block out the light. “Do you think she’d notice if we skipped and just went somewhere else?”

“Definitely. I wouldn’t put it past her to call and check that we’re there,” I snorted, shuffling closer to press a kiss to his chest. “C’mon. Get out of bed and let’s get some coffee. Do you have a uniform here?”

“Yeah. It’s in my room.”

“Meet in the hallway after a shower,” I encouraged, running my fingers across his abs and making him shudder.

“If you keep touching me, we’re going to get in trouble with Josie.”

“Is that so?” I grinned, sliding my fingers lower and making him chuckle as he grabbed my wrist before I could dip below the waistband of his boxers.

“Trust me, I’d much rather stay in bed with your hands on me. Josie’s in a no-nonsense mood, which means she’ll be back to make sure we’re up in a minute.”

As if on cue, Josie appeared in the doorway, putting her hand over the phone to speak while still listening to her call. “I mean it. Out of bed. I’ll drop you off myself if I have to.”

“We’re up,” Lukas replied, trying to keep his injured arm out of view.

She narrowed her eyes, walking off again to trust us to get up, and I finally swung my legs out of bed to stand.

“Are you going to be okay at school? If anyone bothers you, tell me or the guys. I’ll come and kiss you to show them how much you love pussy so they shut up.”

“You don’t need the school thinking you’re fucking all of us,” he said with a shake of his head as he stood too, moving towards me to slide his arms around my middle.

“Why not? I don’t give a fuck. I’ll tell them we had an orgy for breakfast,” I said seriously, standing on tiptoe to kiss him. “Just tell people your mom caught you two tag teaming me. That’ll get people high-fiving you in no time.”

“Go shower,” he snorted, hesitating before dropping a kiss on my neck and leaving the room.

I quickly showered and got ready for the day, sighing as I went to remove my piercings. Being at home had meant I could leave them in.

“Don’t worry about it. No one’s going to tell you what to do now Mom’s been advocating for you at school,” Caden said from the doorway, and I turned to face him.

“Needed something for school?” I asked as he stepped closer, his hand cupping my chin to tilt my mouth up for a kiss without answering me. His free arm circled my waist to pull me closer when I didn’t jerk back, and my hands pressed against his stomach, just needing to touch him.

“I missed you last night,” he murmured against my lips, his fingers sliding into my hair affectionately. “How’s Luke?”

“He slept most of the night, so I think he feels a bit better today. Thanks for giving him space, I didn’t expect you to leave the house. Missed you too,” I replied, abandoning the piercing removal and hoping he was right about me getting away with it.

“We convinced Jense to come and stay with us to distract him. He only managed to get to sleep once Luke texted him to say he was going to sleep,” he admitted. “Thanks for helping Luke.”

“I would’ve done the same for any of you.”

We moved into my room just as Lukas walked in, his eyes pausing on Caden. “You and the guys are here?”

“Just me. Ty and Jense will meet us at school,” Caden answered as we all walked downstairs together, finding Josie waiting at the table with her eyes on her watch.

“Good. I have a meeting this morning, so I expect that you three can get yourselves to school?” she asked, flicking her eyes to mine warmly. “If you have problems today, call me. Your teachers shouldn't bother you for being away, but tell me if they do.”

“Thanks,” I smiled, accepting the coffee that one of the staff handed to me. I preferred making my own, but I didn’t want to cause a fight first thing this morning.

“Have a good day,” she replied and gave my arm a gentle squeeze on her way past, giving Caden a kiss on the cheek and Lukas a pat on the arm too, trusting us to go to school now that she’d seen we were up properly and almost ready to go.

We sat to eat and Caden piled food up on my plate, giving me a look not to argue when I went to protest. I never ate this much breakfast.

Thankfully, he left us alone so he could text, and Lukas quietly picked at his food too. If me having breakfast meant Lukas would, I’d suck it up.

When we were done, we all walked outside together, and I was a little surprised to see Caden’s Challenger parked beside the Corvette.

“Skeet met me here to switch cars back. It’s cleaner than when I bought it off the showroom floor,” Caden joked before sliding behind the wheel, and part of me hated that Skeeter hadn’t stopped in to see me.

He must have been busy.

Lukas came with me in the Corvette, and he was surprisingly chatty on the drive to school. I could tell he was nervous when we arrived because he became quiet, his eyes scanning our surroundings as I parked.

“I’ll be the most enthusiastic girlfriend if you need me to be,” I stated as I switched the engine off, and he looked at me with a chuckle.

“I’m okay. I don’t know how to act around Jense though.”

“Like you usually do,” I said confidently as I opened the door and climbed out, relieved when he did the same. He moved right beside me as the guys wandered over to join us, Lukas’ hand sliding into mine for support as a few people glanced in his direction and started whispering.

“They’re talking about me,” he muttered, tensing when I moved to stand in front of him and slid my arms around his shoulders.

“Let them talk. Give them something new to talk about,” I offered, making him cringe.

“I won’t use you like that.”

“You’re not using me. We’re fucking, Luke. It’s not like it’s supposed to be a secret,” I answered, his hands moving to my waist. “Kiss me and show them you don’t give a fuck about what they think. They’re nothing and you’re a king.”

“I really fucking love you,” he whispered, my mouth curving into a smile.

“I love you too.”

He kissed me hard, leaning back on the car to pull me against him more, and it didn’t take long for the gossip mill to start.

By the time I reached homeroom with Jensen, Claire approached me with a sneer. “I hear you’re fucking Lukas. You know he’s gay, right?”

Jensen almost knocked the damn chair over as he shot to his feet, but I chuckled, taking his hand and tugging him back down.

“Gilbert, no need to defend what we have.” I looked at Claire, finding confusion burning in her eyes. She hated not knowing what was happening. “Lukas’ mom doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Jense and Luke spent the weekend fucking me.”

“Oh my God, you really are a slut,” she laughed, and Jensen snorted.

“Fuck off, Claire. You’ve taken more cum deposits than the sperm bank.”

“How dare you!”

“How dare I what? Tell the truth? Everyone fucks you because you’re easy pussy. You want to know why we fuck Rory?” he asked as he tugged me into his lap without looking away from her. “Because I feel like I’ll die if I don’t. You’ll never know what that kind of love feels like.”

“Everyone in your seats!” Mr. Franklin snapped as he walked in, giving us a glance but not saying anything. I went to move back into my chair but Jensen held me still.

“Jensen—”

“Stay. He doesn’t give a fuck as long as we’re sitting and not making things difficult for him,” he murmured, kissing my neck. “I hated not sleeping beside you last night.”

“Soon,” I promised, giving him a quick kiss and turning my attention to the teacher as he started roll call.

Homeroom and English went quickly, and my studying with Josie must have helped because I understood some of it for once.

When the bell rang for the end of class, a message came through on my phone.

Tyler: Can we talk?

Rory: Right now?

Tyler: Meet me by the bathroom.

I showed Jensen the messages and he chuckled. “He’s just panicking that you’ve forgiven everyone else but him. Let him grovel then call him a good boy. He’ll feel better.”

“I’m not mad at him.”
