Epilogue #2

“Sorry to…not surprise you,” Aspen said, grabbing Charlie’s hand and leading him into the kitchen.

Charlie quickly kicked off his shoes and followed them, catching an eye full of Noah’s gorgeous ass, encased in soft-looking joggers as he bent over to check the temperature of the pork chops in the oven.

“Nothing to apologize for, pumpkin. I’m sorry I made an assumption without checking first.”

Noah glanced over his shoulder and smiled at Charlie. “Aspen felt a little dysphoric after sending the photo, so we spent some time lounging around, and they decided they wanted to surprise you with dinner instead of sex.”

“I mean, we can still totally have sex, just…partially clothed,” Aspen said, squeezing Charlie’s hand as they led him to one of the island chairs.

“I’m down for whatever you’d both like to do,” Charlie said, sliding into the seat and experimentally pulling Aspen between his spread legs. Aspen easily collapsed backwards against his chest, so he assumed it was safe to place his hands on their hips.

“And before you get too worried, Noah did all the cooking. I just helped with the salad.”

Charlie spotted his extra-large bag of sunflower and pumpkin seeds on the counter. “Is this the same meal we had the night of the fundraiser?”

Aspen tipped their head up and nuzzled their nose against Charlie’s throat. “The very same! I’m so happy you remember it. Noah didn’t. I had to explain it to him.”

“A lot happened that day. I remember you blowing Charlie, and me blowing you, as well as the frappe you had the next morning. I just didn’t remember the dinner food,” Noah said as he pulled the pork chops out of the oven to rest on the stove next to the potatoes.

“Mmmmm,” Aspen said, digging their blunt nails into the backs of Charlie’s hands. “I also remember there being plenty of blow jobs. Maybe we could have a repeat performance?”

Charlie pressed his lips against the top of Aspen’s head.

They didn’t change their hair color quite as frequently anymore, more like every two to three months.

They still used the same sweet-smelling shampoo Charlie remembered smelling for the first time out behind the shelter.

It made his heart thump-bump and his dick twitch.

“Maybe this time I can return the favor.”

Charlie had once mentioned that he loved Aspen’s shampoo and, on a whim, they’d bought the matching body wash and tried washing their pubes with it to see if that helped with some of Charlie’s sensory aversions.

While it wasn’t a guarantee that Charlie would be able to handle everything else that came with blow jobs, it definitely helped.

“Whenever you’re done flirting, can you both set the table and pour us something to drink?” Noah said, affection clear in his voice, and his eyeroll.

Charlie ran his nose up Aspen’s neck, nibbling at their ear just to hear their breathy moan before he pushed them gently in the direction of the fridge.

“Ugh, no fair. Now I’m all horny,” Aspen whined, and they set their sights on Noah and scurried around the counter.

“No! After dinner!” Noah said, gripping Aspen’s shoulders in an attempt to stop them from kissing all over him.

“Just one kiss, please!”

“You’re ridiculous,” Noah said, but he immediately gave in, allowing Aspen to crowd him against the counter and steal way more than one kiss from him.

“If you give in that easily, I’m not surprised Gordon isn’t crate trained,” Charlie teased as he walked around the two of them to grab plates.

They had originally tried to crate train Gordon so that they could leave him at home for extended periods of time and not worry about him getting in trouble.

He didn’t really bite or gnaw on things, but he was older, and sometimes he would trip or get a bit disoriented.

Noah had decided to just take him back and forth to Charlie’s house, and he seemed to love car rides, so it wasn’t too big of a deal.

Charlie had bought and installed gates in both their houses, and he seemed to do well for short periods in both living rooms.

Charlie heard the sound of his ice maker running, which he assumed meant they weren’t drinking tonight, in preparation for the sexy times they would have after dinner.

With the noise of the ice and the plates, he didn’t hear Noah walk right up behind him, and he almost bowled him over when he turned around.

“Oh, shit, Noah. You scared—” His words were cut off as Noah fisted his hands in Charlie’s shirt and dragged him down for a rough, open-mouthed kiss.

Charlie pressed forward, backing Noah up against the counter so he could put the plates down and thread his arms around Noah’s back.

“Hi, peanut,” Charlie murmured against his lips.

“Hi. Happy Anniversary,” Noah said, his cheeks flushed and lips a little pink from all the kissing he’d been doing the past few minutes.

Charlie’s heart gave another thump-bump, and he pressed their foreheads together.

“I love you.”

Noah ran his hands up and into Charlie’s hair. “My anchor…I love you, too.”

“Love you three!” Aspen chirped as they slid across the kitchen floor on their fuzzy socks, slamming into Noah’s side.

Noah dropped one arm to rest around Aspen’s shoulders, and Charlie did the same, grabbing them by their soft hips as he gripped the back of Noah’s neck.

“This has been, without question, the best year of my life.”

Noah bit his lip, a cute gesture he’d developed over the past several months as his jaw seemed to tense less and less.

“Me too! Hands down, a fucking amazing year!” Aspen said, bouncing three times on one foot and then the other.

“It’s the best year I’ve ever had, too,” Noah said softly, trailing his hand down from Charlie’s hair until it landed on his heart.

He wondered if Noah could feel the way it was beating, a unique rhythm it only seemed to get when he was around the two loves of his life.

He knew it was probably too romantic for Noah, and Aspen would insist on burrowing inside Charlie’s shirt to listen to it if he ever admitted it to them.

While that sounded nice in theory, they’d done it a few times, and Charlie didn’t love the way it stretched out his shirt.

No, he kept that little quirk of his body to himself, instead opting to use his Gordy Simple words to say, “I’m so grateful to have found you both. You’ve changed my life, and I promise, I don’t take even a second for granted.”

They squeezed together in a too-tight, too-warm three-way hug that Charlie would gladly endure for the rest of his life, so long as it meant he got to keep these two beautiful, amazing people in his arms.
