45. Delilah
Chapter forty-five
Delilah
“ I ’m so angry at you right now,” I said, avoiding eye contact with Kimi as I looked out into the ocean. We were sitting on the sand, and Archer was a few feet away on a phone call as Sterling stood beside him.
“I’m sorry, okay? This isn’t something I’m particularly proud of admitting,” she muttered.
We heard Sterling speak. “I heard that!”
She rolled her eyes, but I could see the small smile that threatened to pull on her lips.
I sighed as I took a sip of my drink and turned to her. “Okay. Details now,” I demanded, leaving no room for discussion, and she groaned.
“Fine. I was just starting to miss you at the academy, and although I had Avery, I felt like I was missing my other half. Luca was still trying to get control of the student body, but lo and behold, I had a ‘guardian angel’ who just so happened to be best friends with the dean and made it his job to annoy me and make me happy, pushing my suggestions for the students to the dean.” She began to blush. “And after he’d help me, I would reluctantly thank him, and one day… he came into my office looking like a total idiot, and I just couldn’t resist his annoying smirk and his stupid jokes and his stupid eyes. That day he just had a way with words, and I… thanked him a little more in my office.”
“Kimi, please don’t tell me you guys had office sex.”
She scoffed at me and rolled her eyes. “Of course not! We just shared a kiss or two, and now he thinks we’re a couple.” She groaned, and I giggled as he walked over and wrapped his arms around her torso from the back. “Sometimes I question if this was a smart decision… Getting repeatedly touched is something I don’t think I want to get used to,” she muttered, and he hugged her contently as he sighed blissfully.
“Of course this was a good decision, tiger… it’s bringing us closer than ever before.”
Archer took a seat beside me, and Kimi looked over to him with a pleading look in her eyes. “Help me,” she mouthed to him, and he held his hand up to his ear and shrugged.
“I can’t hear you,” he mouthed back, and I laughed at the two of them as Kimiko pouted heavily.
Looking out into the ocean, I sighed as Archer ran his fingers through my hair.
“Kimi, I hate to break it to you, but you’re not the only Masahiko child in a relationship currently.”
She glared at me. “I wouldn’t even consider us in a relationship,” she snapped, and Sterling sighed.
“When are you going to accept your fate, tiger? You got to stop fighting it.”
She rolled her eyes at him, and I continued doing my best to ignore him.
“I promised not to say, but... Ivory and Jin seem to be rather close to one another.”
Kimi’s jaw dropped as she came to terms with what I just said. “You’re kidding!” she yelled.
Archer nodded. “It’s true.”
“Is this what you told me you couldn’t tell me that night? I knew you were keeping something from me!” she growled, shaking her head, and Sterling shook his head.
“I always knew it was only a matter of time before they started going at it like bunnies,” he muttered, and Archer sighed.
“Please ignore him. He doesn’t know half of the shit that comes out of his mouth.”
Kimi nodded her head, and we all unanimously agreed as Sterling took much offense to what was said.
Eventually, Kimi looked up at him. “I’m hungry,” she whispered, and I internally smiled at their interaction as Sterling began rubbing his thumb on her stomach as he responded to her softly.
Feeling someone turn me, I giggled as Archer rolled me over and made me straddle his legs.
“I’m feeling a bit neglected,” he mumbled, and I smiled.
“That’s only because you’re watching Kimi and Sterling... I don’t have to give you my undivided attention all day, Lockwood. Remember, my life doesn’t revolve around you entirely.”
“Really? I keep thinking it does,” he teased, and I laughed again at his antics.
Soon, after lunch, we returned to our room, and I thanked Nathan for the drive as I closed the door.
Taking a quick shower, I left the bathroom and wandered into the closet as I pulled on a pair of black tights and a white t-shirt. Sitting in the mirror, I could hear Archer in the bathroom, and I slowly brushed out my hair before I pulled it into a bun.
The door opened, and my breath was caught in my throat as Archer walked out with a towel hanging… dangerously low, his hair dripping and his— No! No. No, no. Do not think that way. Ignore him.
“You know, Princess… your medicine bag seems to have more than just medication.”
I thought about what he said for a moment, and my heart dropped. Why did Mom have to pack it again?
“I mean… it’s good we have protection, but do you really think it should be next to the cough and cold medicine?” he said, laughing, and I internally groaned as I turned my head away from his stupid smile.
Standing up, I walked over to the balcony, and he continued laughing at my embarrassment. I leaned against the railing and flinched once I felt him wrap his arms around me.
“You couldn’t at least dry off and get dressed!” I yelled, as he was wetting me with his hair.
He rolled his eyes. “No. You pout too much, and it’s annoying,” he muttered.
I continued struggling in his grip. “You’re annoying,” I muttered childishly.
He groaned by my ear. “Delilah, stop moving.”
I furrowed my eyebrows at him. “You’re the one holding me hostage! Let me go!” I struggled more, but I gasped when he pulled my back flush against his chest and sighed.
“Stop moving,” he said in one breath, and my eyes widened.
We stayed in deafening silence, and I whispered, “Why are you excited ?!”
He rolled his eyes as he leaned down to my ear and whispered back, “Because you’re annoying, pretty, feisty, crazy, and you drive me fucking insane.”
I bit my lip as he turned me around quickly, and I yelped as he picked me up. His hands rested on my ass, and I blushed as I avoided eye contact.
“Y-y-your towel could fall,” I stuttered, and he peppered my neck with kisses as I did my best to keep silent.
“Trust me, Princess. The only reason it’s staying on right now is that I don’t want to lose any control I have with you just yet.”
Yet . He said yet ... meaning he’s planning on doing that in the future.
Maybe the near future...
I couldn’t help the giggle that came past my lips, and he looked up at me in shock.
“I tell you I’m about to lose control with you, and you giggle?” he asked, and I nodded, shrugging.
“It’s cute.”
He walked us back inside our room and placed me on the edge of the bed.
“You’re cute, Princess. Adorable really.”
He ran his hands up and down my thighs, and I could hear my heart beating in my ears. I leaned back on my hands slowly as I bit my lip, and he gazed at me seductively. Pausing at my shirt, he looked down at it for a moment before looking back up to me.
“How about we take this off for a minute, hmm?” He began pulling it up slowly, and I blushed as I looked away.
“Archer,” I whispered as he pulled it over my head, and I was left in my bra, which was regrettably lace.
He leaned down and placed a kiss on my collarbone as he chuckled.
“What? Am I not allowed to see my princess?” he asked.
I was finding a hard time responding to him.
His hand trailed up and down my stomach as my body trembled in anticipation. I moaned softly as his hand traveled up to my breast, still covered by the thin fabric. I bit my lip and winced as he pinched my nipple between his fingers.
“So responsive, Princess,” he muttered, and I shuddered a small pain- and pleasure-filled breath as he tugged on it experimentally.
Tears pricked my eyes slightly as he moved over to the other one. My thighs tightened slightly as he tilted his head, intrigued at my reaction.
“Does it hurt, Princess?” he asked, and I nodded softly as he pinched me again.
“You’re so mean…” I whispered, and he only smiled.
“I know I am, baby.”
I hummed as he smoothed both aching buds with his thumbs.
He placed another kiss on my shoulder, and I wrapped my arms around his neck as I pulled him closer.
“Someone’s a little eager, hmm?” he asked me teasingly, and I rolled my eyes at him. I jumped as I felt him slap my butt, and I huffed heavily.
“How did you even see me?” I asked, and he smiled.
“I know when my princess is a good girl and when she’s not… Now, are you going to be a good girl?” he asked as his hand trailed up and down my stomach.
I nodded slowly, and I’m sure he felt content with my answer. He leaned down to kiss me once again but stopped as we heard a voice.
“Maybe I shouldn’t have a key to this room,” Nathan muttered, and I sighed heavily as I looked over my shoulder. Seeing his back facing us was embarrassing as he looked out the door. “I only wanted to let you know your mother wanted to speak to you. I’ll be leaving now,” he muttered, exiting, and Archer seethed as he pushed his hair out of his face.
“I’d kill him, you know? If I had a gun right now—” he began angrily, and I shook my head as I placed my hands on his face and forced him to look at me.
“You can’t kill Nathan. He’s only doing his job. Let me call my mom, and maybe … we can continue this later. Now get dressed,” I said as I placed a kiss on his chin.
He reluctantly pulled away as he walked to the closet with a childish pout.
