A few weeks later.
I look around at the Brothers and sisters talking and laughing and having a great time. The Wicked Warriors MC and Poison are here.
Yeah, I invited them to join us.
I pull Halo closer, and she leans into me.
“Ash, thank you for the graduation party,” Halo says.
“You’re welcome. Do you want something to eat or drink?”
“No, I’m good.”
“Okay, Baby.”
“Here’s the microphone,” Fiend says, handing me the gadget.
“Thanks,” I say, taking the gadget.
I then whistle to get their attention, and everyone turns to look at me. I wrap my arm around her.
“Brothers, family, and friends. I want to thank you for joining us in celebrating Halo’s graduation from law school. Baby, you’re amazing, smart, sweet, and so beautiful! Baby, you worked so damn hard, and I’m so proud of her!”
“Congratulations, Halo,” they yell.
“Thank you,” Halo says, turning up her lips.
“Baby, I love you and the Baby with my entire heart and soul. You’re my forever, Baby. Halo, will you marry me? Will you be my Old Lady, my wife?” I ask, falling onto one knee and pulling out the engagement ring.
“Oh my god! Yes! I want to marry you,” Halo yells.
“Oh wait! I get to have a wedding dress and wedding, right?”
The Brothers, family, and friends yell, clap, and hoot.
“Yes, whatever you want,” I say, sliding the engagement ring on her finger.
Halo looks at the ring, and tears roll down her face. I stand, pull her into my arms, and kiss her.
