17. Desire
“I appliedat a few schools today, Mama.”
“Good. I can’t believe they fired you for getting married. Are you sure you can’t sue them? That seems unfair.”
“Baby, rules are rules. I disagree with those rules, but she signed the contract, which means she has to follow them,” my father chimed in.
I was on FaceTime with my mother while my father sat beside her. I’d hesitated to tell them I’d lost my job because I wasn’t sure how they’d react, so I waited a couple of days. Thankfully, they’d been supportive.
“Daddy’s right, Mama. Aziel was livid and offered to pull some strings, but I don’t want to work where I’m not wanted.”
“That’s not completely true, sweetheart. Didn’t you say Mrs. Duncan fought for you? Sounds like it’s not her, but the people above her.”
“That’s what she said, but still. It’s the principle of it all. I have to go, though. Azaria is up from her nap, and I want to do a few activities with her. I’ll let you know if I hear from any of the schools.”
“Okay. Keep your head up. We love you.”
“Love y’all, too.”
I ended the call with my mother and stood to stretch. I was in Aziel’s office using his desktop computer to submit applications. It took longer than I expected because I had to update my resume.
My first day home with Azaria was much different from a school day. I woke up at my usual time and made breakfast. By the time Aziel came downstairs, Azaria was awake, and we ate breakfast as a family before he left for work.
After dressing comfortably, Azaria and I sat at the dining room table, did some word recognition activities, and practiced counting by twos. It was much easier with one three-year-old versus a classroom full, and we moved through the lesson quickly.
I allowed her to watch an educational show on her iPad while I completed a few applications. When I finished, it was lunchtime, and we enjoyed grilled cheese sandwiches and homemade French fries before naptime.
As I left Aziel’s office, I heard the front door open and close. I was surprised to see Aziel when I rounded the corner.
“Hey, what are you doing here?”
He left his bag by the door and approached me, pulling me into his arms and kissing my forehead.
“I missed you, and when I remembered you were home, I decided to fix that. Where’s baby girl?”
“I was headed upstairs to wake her up from her nap.”
“Nah, don’t do that. Come to my office for a minute.”
He took my hand and almost pulled me to his office. Once inside, he closed the door, pinned me against it, then covered my mouth with his.
“Mmm,” I moaned into his mouth.
He lifted the hem of my shirt, and we separated briefly to pull it over my head. When our mouths reconnected, Aziel reached behind me to unhook my bra. It fell to the floor, leaving my breasts exposed as his hands ventured into the back of my leggings.
“Shit! No panties, baby?” he mumbled against my lips.
As he pushed my leggings down, I assisted as much as possible. Once they were at my ankles, I stepped out of them, and Aziel lifted my legs around his waist and carried me to his desk. When my ass hit the cool wood, he pushed me back, sat in the chair in front of his desk, put my legs on his shoulders, and dived into my pussy.
“Oh my God!” I screamed.
His tongue had me moving like a fish out of water. I didn’t know if I wanted more or if he was doing too much. What I did know was my orgasm was on the horizon, and it would be a messy one.
“Baby, please.”
“Drown me, Desire,” he demanded, his words vibrating on my pussy lips.
Barely a minute later, my essence covered his face, and when he came up for air, his skin glistened with my nectar. My heart raced as I watched him unfasten his belt and push his pants down. With my legs still on his shoulders, he slipped inside of me.
“Damn, I love you,” he whispered.
I tensed at his words, wondering if I’d heard him correctly because it was the last thing I’d expected to hear. Our eyes locked, and I searched his for the sincerity I needed to believe his words were genuine. He must have sensed my uncertainty because he made sure I knew I hadn’t misheard him.
“You heard me right, baby. I love you.”
There was no doubt he loved my pussy, but surely it was too soon for him to love me. Instead of dwelling on his words, I focused on the sensations his dick provided. My second climax crashed with his first as he filled me with his seeds. My legs fell from his shoulders when he collapsed onto my chest. There was slight pressure from his body weight, but I was too weak to complain.
“This wasn’t the most romantic way to confess my love for you for the first time.”
“Baby, I?—”
“Nah, let me finish. I was going through some paperwork at my desk, and Tammy came in ranting about something I’m sure I’m supposed to fix. I don’t know how long she was there or what she was talking about because I didn’t hear a word she said. I honestly didn’t notice her presence until she clapped her hands in front of my face.
“She asked why I was smiling so hard, and I realized I hadn’t read a single word of the documents in front of me. I’ve been thinking about you since I left the house this morning. It’s only been a month, baby, but you’re what I’ve been missing. I’ve never felt more fulfilled, and I don’t want to go back to living without you. I’m in love with you, Desire, and I hope your feelings match mine, or you’re willing to stick around until they do.”
His semi-hard dick remained lodged inside me as he shared his feelings. He lifted his head when I didn’t respond after a minute or two. His eyes held the uncertainty I’d felt a few minutes ago.
“I knew I was in love with you before we left Turks and Caicos.”
My words caused his dick to stiffen. He lifted me from his desk and fell back onto the chair. I straddled him and rode his dick like there was no tomorrow. My breasts bounced up and down while he spewed nasty words of encouragement. Two climaxes and a quick shower later, we kissed goodbye for the second time today, and he returned to work.
Azariaand I had just finished eating dinner and were waiting for Aziel to get home. We were in the family room preparing to watch a movie of her choice when my sisters called, delaying the start of the movie.
Thankfully, Azaria had no problem entertaining herself. We’d been on the phone talking about my first day of unemployment for about ten minutes. Suddenly, our conversation went in another direction.
“Have you gotten your period?” Destinee asked.
“No.”
“Is it late?” She continued.
“Not really.”
“What do you mean not really? Either you are, or you aren’t,” Dream stated.
“I’m only a few days late. It’s too soon to speculate or get excited about it.”
“Your cycle is like clockwork. Why don’t you get a test?” Destinee pressed.
“Seriously, sis, because with the way you said y’all be fucking, I’d be surprised if you’re not,” Dream added.
“Aziel is forty-two, and I’m thirty-five. Neither of us are spring chickens, so it may not happen as quickly as I’d like.”
“First of all, thirty-five is not too old to have a baby. Most women nowadays don’t even think about having kids until they’re your age. However, are you sure you’re ready for that?” Dream questioned.
“To be a mom?”
“I know you’re ready to be a mom, but are you ready to have his baby?”
“Who else’s baby would I have, Dream? He is my husband.”
“Listen, I love Aziel for you. He won me over when he solicited us to purchase your new wardrobe and told us to pick up a few items for ourselves.”
“What? He didn’t tell me that part.”
“Because that wasn’t your business,” Destinee added. “The new wardrobe was a dope ass gesture, but when you told me he paid off all your debt, I wanted you to marry him again.”
“Y’all are crazy, but why do I feel like there is still a ‘but’ coming.”
“Sis, the way your relationship came about is far from normal. Having a child is a big step,” Dream said.
“Getting married is a big step, and we’re past that point, so what difference does it make?” I shouted.
“What she’s trying to say is maybe you should wait a while before bringing a baby into your relationship,” Destinee interjected. “Do you even love him?”
“Yes!” I exclaimed before I could stop myself.
“You do?” they asked simultaneously.
“Yes, I do. Is that so hard to believe?”
“I mean, not really. Hell, I swear I was in love with Nolan after our first date,” Dream said.
“Real talk. I fell for Hudson within weeks,” Destinee added.
“Then why do y’all sound so surprised? Besides, he confessed his love for me first.”
“He did?” they sang in unison.
“He sure did. He came home for lunch today and had me on a platter.”
“Damn!”
“Okay, sis!”
“At first, I thought the sex was making him say things he didn’t mean, but he doubled down on his confession when we finished to make sure I knew he meant every word.”
“Let me shut my mouth and mind my business because it sounds like he’s the one,” Dream said.
“Me, too. I’m rooting for y’all, and I hope my new niece or nephew is on the way.”
When it came to relationships, it felt like Dream and Destinee were my big sisters. They’d maneuvered the ins and outs of love and marriage for years when I could barely keep a steady boyfriend. Their concern was out of love, and I appreciated it, but Aziel was my one, and I was his.
