7. Chapter Seven
Chapter Seven
W arren rounded up a couple of the younger MC brothers who were always down for causing a ruckus, and the two other prospects, as well as Connor. We went up to the lake to talk them through what was going on. We didnt usually bring anyone up here, but Warren was making an exception because he didnt want it spread around the club.
Not that I thought anyone would have a problem with getting back at these assholes. It was more about Nick Wilkinson being one of the golden boys at the school. He was the striker for the soccer team. As much as the suggestions to break his legs or beat the shit out of him had me wanting to agree, Warren wouldnt do anything so obvious. Whether he liked to admit it or not, he would honor Waves wishes to not cause too much physical damage.
King would expect us to be careful and not have anything come back on the club, so we were sat here with bottles of beer, strategizing. Some of the guys eyeballed Waverley suspiciously but her brother shut them down, saying she was in on this and if anyone had a problem, they were welcome to fuck the hell off. Hed looked so much like King in that moment, it made me uneasy.
Waverley sat on one of the large boulders by the waters edge. One leg was hanging down, the other pulled up with her arms wrapped around her knee and her chin resting on it. She was listening and had given her brother a few head shakes when hed been considering some of the suggestions but hadnt said anything otherwise.
Her eyes had drifted off to the water beside her as we made plans on what to do to the motherfuckers whod made bets on her virginity. It was getting darker. I hadnt made any suggestions because I was mostly watching Waverley.
Her hair was pulled to one side, and I smirked, knowing that was where Id sucked on her neck so hard Id left a mark. She turned and caught my eye. Her face gave nothing away, she was a Curtis through and through, but she held my gaze. Fuck, I was still reeling over having had her on the bed like that. Her being so receptive surprised the shit out of me, but not enough to make me question what I was doing or stop me continuing. Knowing she was into it as much as I was, was a huge turn on. Id been pissed when Warren showed up unknowingly cockblocking me.
In fact, the more I stared at her, the more my brain slipped away from the moment as I remembered the feel of her tit in my hand, they felt as incredible as they looked. I found myself fantasizing about going over there, spreading her legs and burying my face between them. Of course, in this fantasy she wasnt wearing pants. There werent a bunch of bikers around us either, including her brother. I wondered what shed taste like, how she would sound or if she would grip her thighs around my head and suffocate me as I squeezed that extraordinary ass in my hands.
A hard whack to the stomach broke me out of the daydream and made me flinch backwards. I turned to glare at Connor. He was eyeballing me, a frown pulling his eyebrows down. He glanced at Waverley, then back to me. I looked over at her, she wasnt looking our way anymore and I didnt know how long it had been since she turned away, given Id been so lost in thoughts of her pussy. So much so my dick was half hard, luckily my shirt came down low enough to hide it.
What? I asked Connor, faking indifference as I shifted my stance.
He stared at me some more, then shook his head and focused back on Warren who clapped his hands like the plan was decided. The jerk was too perceptive for his own good.
I need to grab some things so Ill meet you there.
I looked over at Casper who pulled on his jacket and left without waiting for a response. I glanced after him. He was a year younger than us but his dad was one of the brothers and hed grown up living here on the compound, an MC kid just like us. Hed had a rough time of it in high school.
The dumb ass hadnt let us know how rough it had been, but once we knew how badly he was being bullied, we made sure people knew to leave him the hell alone or theyd answer to us. Warren had put one of them in the hospital when he made the mistake of continuing to pick on him.
I was as shocked as everyone else when Casper decided to adopt the name the bullies at school gifted him. I was fairly sure it would be his road name once he patched in. It matched him perfectly and it was how everyone at the club referred to him now.
His real name was Alex Layman, and he was Albino. His hair was bright white, his skin almost translucent and his eyes were a stark ice blue. With his white eyebrows and eyelashes, he looked just like the namesake. I looked to Connor, Casper was a budding pyromaniac. There was only one thing he was going to get. Hed been obsessed with fire for as long as I could remember.
Hed got in to so much trouble when he was younger, setting fires and building mini explosives. When hed almost blown his own hand off, one of the older guys, Patriot, decided to take him under his wing. Hed been in the army for years until he took an honorable discharge. Then hed worked a few years with the NJPD as a bomb disposal expert.
Hed been training Casper how to do that kind of shit safely for the last couple of years. King hadnt been wary of Patriot being ex-police, because he had never been a full-time cop, plus his skills came in handy. It was another example of King pulling people in that would benefit the club, just like Ballistic told me.
If Casper was a part of the plan, then this was going to involve fire. Hopefully not a bomb. I was sure Warren wouldnt go that far, nor would Casper have a readymade bomb sitting around. I hoped .
Dude, you need to watch yourself, Connor said, as everyone started to get up.
What are you talking about? I asked him, picking up a couple of empty bottles and putting them into the box we used to collect empties. Wed come back for them later.
He glanced at Waverley, who had got down off the boulder and was wiping her ass to get any dirt off. Just dont let Warren see you looking at her like that, he laughed and loped away from me.
My cheeks started to burn. Fuck, I didnt realize I was being that obvious and quickly looked around to see if anyone else noticed, but no one was paying me or Waverley any attention. Connor went over to Warren and put an arm over his shoulder, he said something and they both laughed. I released the breath I was holding. Whatever Connor thought hed seen, at least he wasnt telling Warren. He didnt know anything. He just saw me looking at her. Shit.
You didnt say anything about the plan, her voice came from behind me. I thought you would have had something to say.
I turned to her and tried not to show that I had no idea what had been agreed. She saw right through me and laughed, bumping her hip against mine.
Theyre having a party. A couple of the kids from school are there, the ones you and Warren use to do your dirty business. The spies, she added with a conspiratorial whisper.
We had a network of kids at the school who did things for us without anyone knowing about them, they wouldnt be good spies as Waverley called them if everyone knew they fed stuff back to us. They kept their ears to the ground and let us know if there was anything we needed to be aware of, they were lookouts when we were doing club business and covered for us when we needed to skip. There were boys and girls in that network. It made me wonder why no one had picked up on this bet, although the list was only guys from the soccer team.
I wasnt aware Waverley knew about them, but she was shrewder than we realized. I suspected Waverley knew a hell of a lot more than we thought she did.
One of the girls called Warren to tell him the whole soccer team is there. Were crashing the party, she rolled her eyes and started walking. We followed everyone else as they headed down the hill towards the clubhouse. Funny Nick never mentioned anything about this party, she scowled.
I didnt want to touch that. We already knew the guy was stringing her along to get what he wanted and pick up a sizable pay out at the same time. I didnt see the point in bringing that up, when it was written all over Waverleys face that she knew it.
What about the rest?
I knew you werent listening, she rolled her eyes.
I had my mind on other things, I said in a low voice, leaning a little towards her so no one could overhear me. Like where Id rather be right now.
Her breath hitched slightly but she gave me a wide-eyed look that told me to shut the hell up before someone heard. I could see it in her face, she was wishing the same damn thing. What we were walking towards now meant there would be no more alone time tonight.
What if she woke up and realized it was a big mistake and didnt want to take it any further? What if I did? Nah, I couldnt see that happening. I wanted my hands all over her for months. Now Id felt her against me, her lips on mine, I didnt want that to be the end, despite the very real risk to my balls.
I wasnt referring to the blue kind. I suspected Waverley wouldnt be ready to go all the way yet. I would respect that, of course I would. She didnt realize shed be my first too, if we get that far. I knew what it looked like, the way I was with girls in school. She believed I had done way more than I actually had. My concern for my balls was if Warren ever found out.
Hush, she whispered.
You dont feel the same? I asked, despite knowing I needed to knock this off, right fucking now. Sue me, I wanted to know that she wasnt going to back off.
Lets get this over with, her face took on a determined look. Then, she gave me a small smirk. Well see.
We were nearing the clubhouse and there were plenty of people wandering around, the club girls were at the back of the building with some of the guys, drinking and laughing. Dirt and Ink, two of the clubs Officers were standing by their bikes out front as we rounded the building. Ink had his hands on his hips and their discussion looked tense.
They paused as we walked to our bikes, Dirts eyes narrowed on us, there was eight of us, thered be ten with Waverley and Casper involved. Warren broke away and went to talk to Dirt. Whatever he said had him scowling but Ink burst out laughing then slapped my friend on the shoulder.
Just dont bring anything to our doorstep, I heard Dirt mutter as he walked back to the clubhouse.
We wont, Warren laughed. He turned to check on Waverley. Hurry up, little sister.
Less of the little, she shot back at him. Youre only eight minutes older remember, she was smiling despite the tone. Being a part of this was giving her a buzz. We werent shutting her out and that was making her happy.
When we got to the bikes a couple more guys came over to see what was going on. There was a lot of laughter and then a few of the guys headed to their bikes too. Guess we really were going to party. And I still didnt know the plan.
Is sixth your free period?
I glanced at Waverley as she took a few paces passed me but turned walking backwards. I nodded, should have known she knew all of our schedules. Meet me at the library, second floor, in the Physics department.
Physics? I grinned.
Yeah, no one goes there, she whirled away and ran after Warren.
I resisted the urge to smile. Fuck, sixth period couldnt come quick enough. But we needed to get through tonight. I had a feeling things were going to get a lot more exciting. Both at this party, and in the Physics department.
The party was being held in a house out in farmland, the road leading up to it had about eleven or twelve parked cars outside. I figured the parents werent around, because the music coming from the back of the house was loud enough to disguise the sound of our bikes approaching. We were like a full formation ride, Warren at the front with Waverley hanging on to him.
He only slowed a little, glancing back at me, with a grin on his face. He said something to Wave and her hands tightened around him. Warren turned the bike towards the side of the house and gunned it ripping up the manicured lawn as he drove over it. Everyone followed. That was gonna take a lot of work to repair.
Once we rounded the corner out into the backyard, it was clear our arrival had finally caught everyones attention, some people jumped up, a girl or two screeched in surprise which made me laugh. Cheryl, one of our girls and the biggest shit stirrer and gossip at school gave me a wink from behind the drink she held close to her face. No one would let on shed given them up.
There was a huge fire in a readymade firepit a little way from the house and a large swimming pool that was being utilized by a group of bikini-clad girls, some of whom looked like juniors. Lights had been set up and there was even a DJ. What a bunch of pretentious pricks.
The house was impressive. It wasnt Nicks, I checked out where that shithead lived when I knew he was with Waverley. His place was a modest, single story three bed in one of the cul-de-sacs close to the high school. He lived with his parents and two little sisters. Nah, this place belonged to the Councilmans son, Andrew Reinhart. He was the quarterback for our school football team. They notoriously butted heads with the soccer team, guess they made exceptions for parties.
It made me laugh to realize wed torn up the councilmans lawn. He abhorred the MC and was a real pain in the ass about trying to get us out of his town . King referred to him as a gnat, one he didnt care to swat. Nothing about Councilman Reinhart had King running scared, despite his many attempts. King would piss himself laughing at us causing chaos at this guys house.
Warren helped Waverley off the bike then got off too. Everyone behind us did the same. Some of the kids looked on anxiously, some of them, clearly stoned, didnt give two shits. A lot of the girls had perked up and were eyeballing the guys. I almost laughed. These girls wouldnt know what to do with half of these guys, especially the older ones whod tagged along. Although the oldest was Felix who just turned twenty-three.
Now the soccer team on the other hand, they looked suspiciously nervous. Most of them were sitting near the fire and lookey here, Nick Wilkinson had his arm around a girl. He immediately pulled his arm away, almost pushing her over and she made a small sound of protest. I glanced at Waverley, who had witnessed his little faux pas, but her face hadnt registered anything other than indifference. Damn she was good at that.
What the fuck are you idiots doing? Reinhart came storming over, like he didnt think approaching a pack of Devils Chaos bikers like that was a hazard to his health. Youve destroyed the grass.
I know an excellent landscaper, Warren said to him, putting his helmet over the handlebars of his bike along with Waverleys. Ill pay to get it fixed.
Reinhart scoffed like we were too poor to do any such thing.
I approached him and to his credit, he didnt move back. We have no issue with you, QB. Warren will fix your fucking lawn. All we want, I pointed over to the fire. Is them.
Reinhart studied me for a moment. I could see the disdain in his eyes. Hed clearly learnt from his father that the MC was scum. His eyes moved to the rest of us, who werent doing anything even remotely threatening, in fact, a few of the guys had already got drinks and were chatting with the girls whod approached them.
Just dont fucking break anything, you heathens, he muttered and walked away, but he did give Nick and his friends a glare for bringing this to his door.
I laughed, he sounded like his fucking old man. I nodded to Warren. He said something to Waverley and a smirk tilted her lips. I noticed a couple of guys casually trying to walk around the side of the house without drawing attention to themselves. They were on the list, I nodded at Connor and tilted my head after them. He gave me a maniacal grin and headed after them with a couple of guys.
Here, I glanced down to see Cheryl, she held out a beer bottle to me. I took it and gave her a wink. Should I be concerned my hair is going to get messed up?
I looked down at her. She was a cute blonde, with an enormous rack and despite being short, she was well in proportion. I hadnt done anything with her, and clearly it wasnt on the cards tonight, despite the look she was giving me.
Thanks, C. Dont worry, your hair and everything else is safe, but can you do one more thing for me after this is over.
Anything, she said breathily.
That aint happening, I said, giving her a look. She pouted. Any number of those guys would love to entertain you for the evening.
She licked her lips as she glanced behind me. Okay, so what do you need me to do?
Im gonna give you a list of names. Cancel them.
Her eyes lit up. Cheryl loved nothing more than making the whole school turn their back on someone. It was fucking twisted how she reveled in it. She was a bitch, no doubt, but her skills came in handy. All of the girls in school obeyed her. With the exception of Waverley and Joanna, and a few other girls Cheryl would consider beneath her and wouldnt deign to talk to.
Might be difficult, I noted. Theyre on the soccer team.
She rolled her eyes at gave me a sideways look that said I underestimated her. DM me them.
My turn to roll my eyes. Ill pass you the list tomorrow.
Cheryl tapped her nose. Clever. Ill destroy it immediately.
I shook my head as she walked away and headed over to Dog. He was grinning from ear to ear as he watched her approach. Shit, maybe I should warn her. Decided not to though, she was a big girl, she could hold her own with Dog.
Connor came back around the corner with the two pricks who tried to escape. They werent escorting them or anything, but theyd obviously been convinced to come back. Warren had taken a seat by the fire, directly in Nicks line of sight.
Waverley was at her brothers side, standing with her arms folded. The other guys had strategically placed themselves around the yard, it was a formation of sorts. If any trouble started, wed have the upper hand.
Why all the glum faces, this is a party isnt it? Warren asked. Nick rubbed his lips together, as if he was trying to hold back and his hands gripped the arm rests of his chair. Its a little lame in comparison to some of the other parties weve attended though.
A few of the guys made affirmative comments. One of them tossed Warren a beer, which he caught without even looking.
I dont know, Connor came closer to the fire, an easy smile on his face. I think we can help pick things up.
Wanna bet? Waverley asked him.
Nick blanched. Another guy got to his feet and turned around but Shady was standing there with a grin on his face. He was the other club prospect. He got his name for a reason. The guy immediately sat back down when he saw the look on his face. It had finally dawned on them why we were here.
I smiled as I watched Wave. She was playing her part perfectly. In the firelight she looked fucking stunning. It was picking up highlights in her hair and the way the light flickered accentuated the angles of her cheekbones.
How much should we wager on making this party a lot more interesting?
Five hundred? I stepped forward, my eyes pinning Nick to his seat. He looked this close to pissing himself.
It was just a joke, he said.
You think my sister is a joke? Warren asked. He sounded as if he was asking about the weather, but I could see the tension across his shoulders. He was so pissed he was barely containing it but no one around him could see that. Waverley could and Connor too, but the four of us just glared at Nick.
No, I dont, Nick gulped.
Hey Sam, I said to one of the other players. My brothers are thirsty, why dont you and one of your little pussy friends get them all a drink.
He glanced to Nick, but he was too busy keeping his eyes on Warren. Uh, yeah. Sure.
I wanted to laugh as him and another guy got every brother wed brought along a bottle of beer. The responses ranged from cheery thanks, to stony eyed glares. One of them dropped a bottle and it smashed spilling beer all over the floor. I heard a curse behind me and figured it was Reinhart.
Well, were here to just let you know that all bets are off. And it will never happen again. Right? Warren asked affably, taking a long swig of his beer. He briefly checked his phone, like he didnt have a care in the world.
For the record, Waverley said. I had other plans on Friday night.
Nick looked at her and for a second, something I didnt like crossed his face. I walked forward but Wave held up her hand.
You think too highly of yourself, Wilkinson, she told him. You hadnt even charmed your way inside my blouse, let alone anywhere else. If youre as sloppy in bed as you are at kissing, I dont think Id be missing out.
There was some laughter around the fire, and not just from the MC guys. He glared at her and almost got out of his seat but she held her chin up. He glanced at Warren, then me.
As an incentive to keep you from doing anything that I may perceive as revenge on my sister, or my MC, Warren got to his feet and finished his beer, tapping on his phone as he did. All the other brothers set down their drinks too.
A series of loud bangs filled the air. I flinched because I hadnt been expecting it. Chaos broke out as the smell of smoke blew around the house towards us, and it wasnt the kind from the fire.
What the fuck? Reinhart shouted and ran to the front of the house.
Lets go, Warren said heading for his bike.
All the kids at the party started running to the front, either around the side or through the house. Everyone wanted to see what was going on. We all mounted our bikes and headed out the way we came, unfortunately for Reinhart, ripping up the lawn a little bit more.
I let out a shocked laugh as I came around the side of the house to see at least four of the cars parked on the road in flames. Casper stood front and center, a huge grin on his face. There were screams from the guys whose cars were burning. People were shouting about calling 911, a couple of girls screamed.
Well, wed made our point here. Waverley was looking back at me as she held on to her brother. A look of grim satisfaction covered her face and she smiled at me, making my heart pound. She might not be allowed in the club, but she was still a part of this. A part of us. That could never be broken, no matter what happened in the future.
We hadnt physically hurt the team, but wed definitely hurt them. A couple of those cars looked expensive. Warren had given her what she wanted. I had to admit, I had wanted to put my fist through Nick Wilkinsons face. Seeing him almost tearing his hair out as he stood by his burning car with no clue what to do, was satisfying.
Warren blipped the throttle on his bike making it roar, the rest of us followed suit. It was way more effective than blaring a horn. The noise was deafening as we made a show of letting these idiots know they shouldnt mess with us.
Then we pulled out and rode away.
