Chapter 19 Lucifer #2
Dex clenched around him. “Yes.” His eyes were wild, a deep flush darkening his face and neck. “Yes, Luc. Please.”
With a growl, Luc added another finger. He thrust, and Dex moaned helplessly, bringing his hips to meet Luc’s hand. His cock leaked onto his stomach, and he tipped his head back, baring his throat.
Need thrummed through Luc’s veins as he opened his mate with brutal efficiency. “Does it hurt?”
“No, it’s good. So good. More.” Dex thrust onto Luc’s fingers.
That was what he needed to hear. Another swell of magic slicked his cock, and he withdrew, lining himself up. He grabbed Dex under the knees, tilted his hips, and pushed in, forcing Dex to accommodate his girth.
Dex gasped. “Argh, Luc. Ooh.”
Luc tasted smoke. Dex was tight around him. He pushed forward, savoring this first invasion, Dex’s first acceptance.
“You’re perfect, Dex. Come on my cock like a good captive. Lose yourself for me.”
“Luc,” Dex cried, a sob of relief sending a shudder through his body.
Luc was all the way in, their bodies pressed together. His chest tightened. He had his mate. This was the beginning of the rest of time. He wasn’t letting Dex go. He’d do anything to belong here. To return to Dex over and over.
Luc pulled back and snapped his hips, eliciting a moan from Dex, whose eyes fluttered closed. He couldn’t hold back any longer. He threw Dex’s feet over his shoulders and fucked him hard, the base of his tail vibrating with every thrust.
Dex’s high-pitched cries filled the cavernous loft and bounced off the ceiling. “Fuck me.” He threw back his head and came, release flooding his stomach, his tight hole strangling Luc’s cock.
Dex’s earthy scent filled the air, and pleasure raced down Luc’s spine. With a snarled, “mine,” he filled his mate with his seed, claiming his body, if not his soul.
Dex was his. Luc would make it so if it was the last thing he accomplished in his life.
Luc lowered Dex’s legs onto the mattress and pulled him close, keeping his cock buried deep. With a spell, Dex’s restraints fell away, but he didn’t immediately lower his arms.
“You can relax, my dear.” Luc brushed light fingertips along Dex’s cheek.
He whimpered.
Luc pressed a kiss to Dex’s lips and brought his arms down one at a time, massaging his wrists and shoulders, stroking his skin as he relaxed.
Dex’s palms were red from being on all fours in the street. Luc brushed a thumb over each in turn, healing the agitated skin with magic. Dex sighed, his body clenching around Luc’s spent cock.
Luc groaned and kissed Dex’s soft lips, his earthy scent taking on a floral quality. “You’ve been a good captive.”
Dex’s relaxed muscles tensed. “Don’t let me go.”
“I’m not. I’m keeping you close, telling you how much you pleased me. How good you were. I’m not saying you were a good captive because I’m letting you go.”
Dex nodded, trembling slightly.
Luc rolled them onto their sides, his cock slipping from Dex’s body. He stretched the wing nearest the mattress back and out of the way, the other folding over them like a cocoon.
“Don’t go,” Dex whispered again.
Luc tightened his arms around him. “I’m not going anywhere. I’m right here with you. I’ve got you.” Dex’s body gave another shudder. “You’re safe, Dex. I’m here and you’re safe.”
He squirmed, pressing closer. Luc welcomed him, draping his tail over Dex’s thigh and kissing his forehead.
“I don’t want this to be over,” Dex whispered, the hint of urgency in his tone setting Luc on alert.
Dex needed reassurance, but Luc had to find the right way to express it. Clearly, saying he wasn’t leaving wasn’t enough. “Why don’t you want it to be over?”
“I—I don’t know. It’s overwhelming. I don’t know what to do.”
Luc rubbed Dex’s back, his heart clenching. “You don’t have to do anything, sweet boy. The scene is done, but I’ve still got you. You don’t have to worry. I’m not going anywhere. You’re good. So, so good. You gave me so much pleasure, everything I wanted.”
Dex clung to him, nodding against his neck. Luc murmured more reassurance in Dex’s ear, cuddling him like the precious soul he was, praising him and giving him love, even if Luc didn’t use that particular word.
“Whatever you’re feeling is normal, Dex. You can tell me. You can say or do anything without worrying about what will happen next. I promise.”
Dex’s grip on Luc loosened, and he shifted until their eyes met. “Anything?”
“Yes, anything. I want all of you, remember?”
“Yeah.” Dex’s lips twitched upward. “I feel better now. I don’t know why I got so scared for a second.”
Did he not know, or was it just hard to voice? “Would you like to talk about it?”
Dex hesitated. “Okay, but I don’t know what to say.”
“You feared me leaving. Was it rejection that scared you? Is that what the scene ending felt like?”
“No…” Dex took a moment to put his words together.
“Having you in control was a relief. I didn’t have any worries.
That hasn’t happened in a long time. I’ve been low-key afraid for years, holding back because I was scared of losing anyone, and I hate it.
I’ve got so much happening in my head, and the idea of it all coming back hurt.
I didn’t want this to be over because then I’d have to face it all again. ”
Luc felt his mate’s pain. They might not be bonded, but Dex’s emotion was plain on his face, the set of his shoulders, the way his fingers flexed against Luc’s chest. Luc welcomed it all.
“Even when you’re not my captive and I’m not controlling you, you can count on me and share your worries.”
Dex bit his lip. “I know. But being free from it all was so…well, freeing.” He huffed a laugh.
“That was articulate.” He swallowed and tried again.
“Being scared like I wanted was even better than I imagined, but when the actual stuff I’m scared of was coming back, I didn’t want to let go. It was too much all at once.”
“I’m sure it was. Fear is a powerful emotion.” Fear could do horrible things. It had led Luc to his darkest moments. “Wanting to avoid what frightens us is only natural.”
“Yeah…but I also crave fear. Obviously. I asked you to scare me, and being hunted was the most thrilling thing that’s ever happened to me. The adrenaline. The raw desire. It was so pure and hot. Is that weird?”
“Wanting to be scared and enjoying it? No. Your desires aren’t weird. Recognizing that you can take something you struggle with and make it yours is a powerful thing.”
Luc knew that from experience. His desire for control could take him to bad places, but he could mold that desire to reflect his morals and take charge for the good of his partner.
That’s what gave him pleasure and got him off, and it had nothing to do with what he’d done, trapping everyone in Hell.
His desire for control wasn’t weird or wrong in and of itself, and Luc wasn’t afraid he’d cross any lines with Dex.
What Dex wanted was always at the front of his mind, even when they played with denial.
Dex wanted to please Luc. He got pleasure out of being good and putting Luc first, and felt free when he wasn’t in control.
If Dex didn’t enjoy these things, Luc wouldn’t ask them of him.
Dex seemed thoughtful. “Getting off on being scared does give me a deep kind of satisfaction, but you make it sound like I’m mastering my fear.”
“Aren’t you?”
Dex’s cheeks flushed, and he tucked his face out of sight, but not before Luc caught his smile. “I don’t know if I’m mastering it. It’s more like I’m giving it to you,” he whispered.
Luc’s breath stuttered. “Then I’ll guard it with everything I have.”
“I like giving you things to look after. Um…” Dex’s face froze like he’d surprised himself with that admission.
“Wonderful, because I like looking after you.” Luc’s fire smoldered at the way Dex’s whole body softened, melding into him even more.
“Tonight was hot. Exciting. I’ve never hunted someone like that, watching for hours, drinking you in.
Biding my time. I loved every moment. What else did you like about tonight, other than giving me your fear? ”
Dex relaxed and answered like the words were bursting from him. “Struggling and being naked in the street with you on top of me, and knowing you were watching when I couldn’t see you. I liked being your captive. Your plaything,” he added eagerly.
Luc nearly purred. Perhaps Dex considered it less vulnerable to admit he enjoyed being Luc’s plaything than saying he liked being taken care of, but Luc wondered if the two weren’t connected.
A plaything and a captive were both for Luc to look after—Luc’s responsibility—and it was no mystery why Dex longed to be cared for.
He might not be looking for a Daddy, but he seemed to crave the nurturing he’d lost from his life as much as Luc longed to nurture his mate and use his affinity for control for good.
“I liked all those things too,” Luc said. “Especially you as my captive. Would you do any of it again?”
“Yeah.” Dex laughed like the question hardly needed asking. “I’d do it all again.”
Luc’s chest warmed. “What about controlling your pleasure. How did that go?”
Dex lifted his chin. “I didn’t touch myself, just like I promised.”
“Such a good boy, but I meant, did you enjoy it? Would you like to do something like that again?”
“Oh.” Dex pressed closer to Luc, averting his eyes. “I didn’t realize we’d stopped. I want to keep going.”
A low purr filled the air. “You do? Why? Tell me why you enjoyed it.”
“I don’t know. It was like we were connected all the time. Like I was doing something for you and earning something I wanted.”
Always connected. Like they would be with their mating bond. “In that case, let’s see if you can earn another orgasm.”
Dex nodded eagerly, and Luc covered Dex’s mouth with his. When the kiss ended and Luc drew back, Dex’s eyes remained shut. He had to be exhausted.
“Don’t fall asleep. We have to clean off and eat something.”
Dex opened one eye. “I’m not hungry.”
“Maybe not, but I drank substantially from you, so you need to eat before going to sleep.”
“Fine.” Dex closed his eyes again, a tiny smile on his face.
Luc cleaned them with magic and evaporated the mess from the sheets. He propped Dex on the pillows and fetched him water and a small box of cookies.
Back on the bed, Luc pulled Dex onto his lap. Dex squirmed, rubbing his ass against Luc until Luc’s cock hardened.
He gripped Dex’s hips. “Eat your cookies, little tease.”
Dex held still and ate quietly for a few minutes. “Can I touch your wings?” he asked in a rush like he couldn’t hold the words back a second longer.
Luc’s wings rested against the headboard, wingtips draped over the sides of the bed. He ruffled his feathers, bringing one wing around and lightly stroking down Dex’s spine.
“Touch all you like.”
Dex ran a hand along the ridge of Luc’s other wing. “All of you is so warm. Your feathers are like silk.” He shivered as Luc stroked the exposed skin of his back from neck to ass.
“Your skin feels divine beneath my feathers, too.”
Another shiver wound through Dex’s body. “Don’t stop.” He braced both hands against Luc’s wings and rubbed their chests together.
“Careful,” Luc warned as Dex’s hard cock leaked against his stomach. “You aren’t getting off again tonight.”
Dex moaned, his motions slowing to a stop. “Okay. I’ll be good.”
“Yes, you will.” Luc kissed his nose. “We should go to sleep if you’re done eating.”
Dex stroked Luc’s wing. “But then the night will be over.”
“Is that a bad thing? We can do it all again. I’m not abandoning you. You may not be my prisoner, but you’re mine, and I’m yours.”
Dex withdrew his hand, running it along the healed skin of his neck as if searching for Luc’s bite. “You’re right, none of that’s bad.” A yawn drowned out the last word.
Luc set the empty water glass and the single uneaten cookie on his new bedside table and pulled Dex beneath the blankets. “Sleep, and we’ll go to breakfast in the morning. Nothing is over, my dear. That’s a promise.”
