Chapter 10
CHAPTER TEN
FRANKIE
“Sorry about that,” I said, hurrying inside. “Talia was supposed to pick her up this morning, but she got a flat.”
Willa looked at me and then back at Calysta. “Well, I guess I’ll go to my room. You’re coming back around, Titi, right?”
Calysta pulled Willa into her arms and squeezed her tight. “I am. Will you forgive me for staying away this long? I’ve missed you so much.”
Willa pulled back and rolled her eyes. “I guess…” She rolled to her sock-clad toes and pressed a smacking kiss to Calysta’s cheek. “Love you.”
“Love you too!” Calysta said and released her.
I’d known the James family for years and had somehow missed Calysta.
“We can chat here,” I said, my attention moving toward the door that led out back.
“And risk them snooping?”
Raising my hand, palm up toward her, I laughed. “Come on. I know where we can go.”
Calysta took it without question, and we walked side by side out of the house and to my house a few doors down. “Welcome to my humble abode.”
“You live here?” she asked, looking back toward the James house before I tugged her to the front door.
“Yup. I bought this house a couple of years ago. When Talia and I were together, we lived across town.”
Calysta nodded, her eyes creased as she processed the information. “That makes more sense.”
“Why we never met before?”
Calysta nodded in reply.
I shut the door behind her before guiding her to the kitchen. “Water?”
“Yes, please.”
The silence around us wasn’t awkward. It was peaceful, as if we’d known each other for far longer than a couple of weeks. “Wanna tell me why you cried if that guy really wasn’t the cause?”
She raised her glass of water to her lips and sipped. “I told you about Sergio and me.”
“Yeah, how you were separated when you found out he was sick and stuck by him instead of cutting and running.”
She nodded. “Sergio was a firefighter with Station Two.” She raised a hand in the direction of the barbecue a few houses down.
“They were my family. After Sergio died, I pulled away, unsure where I fit in without him. When Danny welcomed me back home…” Tears filled her eyes, and I moved closer as she took a moment.
“A dam broke. They were my family, and I’d pulled away, and they’re just happy I’m back.
That’s what that was about. Danny wouldn’t hurt me, Frankie. ”
I grabbed hold of a loose curl between two fingers. “So I don’t have to punch the guy?” I’d never hit a man over a woman in my entire life, but something about Calysta made me feel protective in a way I didn’t understand.
Calysta chuckled, the sound deep and sensual. “I’d be mad if you did.”
I stepped in closer to her. “Mad enough you’d leave me or just a little, so we could have make-up sex?”
“We haven’t even had regular sex.”
“I’d love to remedy that, if you’re interested.” My voice had dropped, sounding husky, as blood shot to my groin.
Her eyes darkened as she bit her lower lip. “They expect us to come back.”
I nodded slowly. “They do, but who’s to say they are watching the clock?”
Calysta set her palm on my chest and took me in. “We’ve only just started dating… Wouldn’t this be crazy?”
I wrapped my fingers around her wrist and pressed a kiss to the inside. “Darling, if you’d rather go back, we can. But I need you to know that crazy is how I feel about you.”
Her lips parted with a small gasp. I stood still, doing my best not to scare her off when all I wanted to do was toss her over my shoulder and carry her to my unused king-sized bed.
“I haven’t done this in a very long time…”
If the words were meant to warn me off, they didn’t. My erection became harder and thicker at her words. I was eager to explore every inch of her womanly curves. “I’m sure it all works the same way.”
Calysta laughed and rolled her eyes like I’d hoped. “I mean—”
“I know what you meant. We can do however little or much you want. Make out like horny teens? Check. Taste your sweet pussy. Also check. Watch you ride me, bend you over, see my very-hard cock disappear into this sweet mouth? Check, check, and check. Whatever you’re comfortable with, I want.”
Calysta pulled her hand back, and I worried I’d been too forward. Talia hadn’t exactly liked my dirty talk.
She fanned her face. “Sweet Lord, you really are a dirty talker.”
“I’m sorry.”
Calysta’s eyes widened as I began stepping back. She grabbed a fistful of my shirt faster than I could have expected and pulled me flush to her. “Sorry? For what?”
I shrugged. “Some people don’t like it.”
She scoffed. “I’m not some people. I am here for it. I just didn’t realize it until that filthy mouth spoke. I mean, I got a little taste during our phone calls, but that’s different.”
I grinned and wrapped my arms around her waist before pulling her in tight. “So you like dirty talk.”
She nodded vigorously. “Definitely.” She pulled her head back quickly. “Just don’t expect me to call you daddy. Ew. That’s not for me.”
Noelani’s face came to mind, and I cringed, my cock deflating a bit. “Hard pass for me too.”
Calysta leaned in and kissed me. Soft, teasing strokes of her lips against mine pushed all thoughts from my head, the feel of her body and mouth filling my mind.
I ended the kiss and tasted the skin of her jaw and down her neck. Calysta whimpered.
“I think I found a sweet spot.”
I adjusted my stance so she could straddle my leg, and a moan slipped free when I sucked the tender skin. Calysta held onto my shoulders, her short fingernails digging in.
Pulling back, I took in the desire clouding her vision. I lifted her into my arms, and she squealed with surprise. I set her on the kitchen island. “You really are beautiful. If you’re not into anything I do, just tell me, okay?”
Her breaths came quickly as she nodded.
“I need to hear the words, darling.”
“Yes, sir.”
My heart stuttered against my sternum. Never had two words sent electricity straight to my cock.
I bit my lower lip before sucking in a deep breath. “As much as I love kissing you, I’m hungry as fuck for your pussy. I’m ready for a snack.”
