Chapter 6
CHAPTER SIX
CALEB
By Fourth of July, everyone who didn’t already know about our relationship had found out. The gossips in town made sure to spread the word. Once Fletcher knew, it was game over.
“Girl, why was I one of the last people to know?” Georgia’s cousin Sadie playfully slapped her on the leg.
“I know Sadie, I had to find out about Slim and Caleb from Mitzy at the diner, she ain’t even family.” Fletcher whined before he took a swig from his beer. We were gathered for the annual barbecue our family threw every holiday.
Everyone had been vocal about it except for Big Momma. Her silence had me on alert.
Georgia was cuddled into my side on the porch swing, my arm draped across the back, her fingers interlocked with mine. In my other hand, I held my beer. With the tip of my right foot, I pushed off the floor, setting the swing into motion.
She glanced up at me, gifting me with a sly grin, before she answered her cousin. “We just wanted to keep it to ourselves for a while.”
“Before you vultures start picking it apart,” I added before taking a pull of my beer.
“Be nice.” Georgia giggled and nudged me with her shoulder.
Ram laughed and threw a balled-up napkin at me.
“First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Slim in a baby carriage.” Sadie sing-songed.
My brothers and Sadie guffawed like a pack of hyenas.
“I think you’re getting a little ahead of yourself.” Georgia said trying not to laugh.
I loved my family and Georgia’s, but I had to admit I was a little sour about having to share her already.
Too soon the summer would be over, and I’d go back to college, and she’d head to Emory. I was already afraid she’d get to college and forget me, too caught up in her new life or charmed by some guy on campus to come back to Maysboro, come back to me.
“What’s got you looking like you’re sucking on a mouth full of lemons?” Fletcher nudged me.
I was so deep in my thoughts I hadn’t realized Georgia wasn’t beside me anymore.
“Nothing.” I said, not hiding the agitation in my voice, as I looked around for her.
“She went to the kitchen with Sadie.” Fletcher said. I could see him scrutinizing me in my periphery.
“I’m glad you and Slim worked out.”
My brother’s words surprised me; I whipped around to peer at him.
“She’s liked you for a long time. I never told you because I didn’t want you to be an ass to her. Don’t break her heart.”
Was Fletcher her brother or mine?
I snorted. I appreciated that he was willing to protect her. She and Fletcher had always been close. I liked knowing that when I wasn’t around, I could count on him or Ram to look after her.
“You don’t have anything to worry about. I would never hurt her.”
“Good. I won’t have to kick your ass.”
Fletcher gave me a shit-eating smirk and got up from the swing.
I went inside the house to look for Georgia. I wanted to ditch the party and go somewhere to hang out with her alone.
Inside, Big Momma was the first person I encountered. She sat alone in our living room, rocking back and forth in a rocking chair. She was the only one who hadn’t said anything to either of us about our relationship. Even Pop had joked with us.
“Come in here and sit with me for a spell.”
The offer was made politely, but there was an undercurrent of something that I could only guess at.
I took a seat on the sofa but didn’t say anything.
“You know Gigi is going to Emory in the fall.”
She didn’t ask a question. She said it as a statement.
It was clear she saw me as an impediment to Georgia attaining her goal.
I was a stumbling block that could hinder Georgia from reaching her goal.
I knew it wasn’t anything personal. It could be any guy sitting here.
Big Momma would still be giving the same talk.
“Yes ma’am.”
We stared at each other, neither of us wavering. She might have been my elder, but I wasn’t going to back down.
“It’s not that I think you’re not good enough for her. It’s just she has plans and I aim to see she finishes them.”
Like any parent would.
I nodded. “I know.”
“What are you two talking about?” Georgia said, suspicion laced her words. She entered the room, her steps slow and cautious as she looked between the two of us.
“Nothing. Caleb was kind enough to keep an old woman company.”
I stood. “You ready to go?”
Pulling into the secluded parking area frequented by lovers since my parent’s generation, I was happy to see we were the only car in sight.
“Rendezvous Drive?” Georgia snickered.
“I wanted to go somewhere where no one would find us.” I pulled her so she straddled my lap. “Plus, we haven’t christened my truck yet.”
I leaned my head back against the headrest so I could gaze up at her. My eyes growing heavy with desire.
“Oh, that’s why we’re here… Mmm.” She wrapped her arms around me tight, pulling me close.
I slid my hand up her back and kissed her on her clavicle. I tongued, sucked and nipped my favorite spot.
Georgia pulled her shirt from her skirt and yanked it over her head. Her boobs in that pushup bra made my mouth water. I unhooked the bra and stripped it from her body. Cupping one of her round globes in my hand, I sucked the nipple enjoying her moans of satisfaction as she hugged me to her bosom.
I was hard and ready for her. She planted her knees in the seat, so I could slide my shorts and underwear down.
My dick sprang from its confines already seeking home.
Pre-cum leaked from the tip. Georgia wrapped her hand around my dick and used my cum to get me wet.
Although I knew her slick channel would be the only lubricant I needed.
When she guided me to her entrance and looked at me with hooded eyes, I used her hips to push her down on my dick. We both groaned at the welcome friction.
The minute I was inside her she began to ride me like she was a bucking bronco rodeo champ.
With the windows rolled down a slight breeze drifted in, but it was still hot. Some of Georgia’s curls had escaped her ponytail and now clung to her face. Sweat made us sticky, but we didn’t care. I licked her shoulder, tasting the salty tang of her skin.
I loved making love to Georgia, but sometimes I needed to fuck her, and right now was one of those times. After my little talk with Big Momma. I needed to lay claim to her. I knew the summer was almost over. I knew she didn’t need me, but I damn sure needed her.
I wrapped one arm around her pulling her into my chest, and with my other hand, I gripped her ass, and drove my hips upward, into her.
She screamed wildly as I struck her spot over and over again, needing to leave my mark.
Write myself in every crevice I could find, but more importantly I wanted my name branded on her heart.
She came undone in my arms. Screaming my name.
I was right behind her. I shuddered against her, pouring myself into her.
After I came, I stayed embedded inside her, not ready to pull out. Her body still shook and trembled as she clung to me.
“I love you so fucking much.”
