Epilogue
Maeve
S urprising Nick has turned out to be the greatest challenge I’ve faced in our relationship. It took a tremendous amount of planning as well as convincing my guards to lie to him and getting the security crew on board. I had to assure them repeatedly he wouldn’t be upset. Not that I blame them. The least of their problems would be getting fired, the worst…well…
He has no clue that I’ve flown to Las Vegas and broken into his room. I can now understand the appeal of breaking into someone’s room. It’s kind of exciting. I’ve never been so bad before!
I take my luggage and hide everything in a closet. The glass of roses clank on the granite counter as I place them. Grabbing a few stems, careful of the thorns, I slowly begin plucking the silky petals. The trail of deep red rose petals will lead Nick to the living room where he’ll find my note.
Next, I make a beeline for the guest bedroom. I put on my red lace and silk lingerie that has a matching red silk cape and hood, complete with red garters and white lace stockings. Quickly, I slide on my red converse. I forgot the best part. I apply a generous amount of red lipstick and then kiss the note I left for him.
With everything in place, I leave the room with a fist full of extra rose petals. I return to the exact place he’d found me the first time we’d played this game. I sprinkle the rose petals and then lie down holding a single rose. Now, I wait for him to hunt.
Nicholas
Of all things to happen tonight, Journi Reign shows up at the casino and bumps into me spilling wine down the front of my shirt. I’m already in a foul mood having not heard from Maeve in hours. I’m considering selling this casino, so I don’t have to fool with it anymore, and I solely focus on Le Louve.
I mean that for both the casino and my she-wolf, Maeve. She hasn’t accepted a cent from me since opening her own business. It’s silly. I have all the means necessary to give her everything she’s ever dreamed of for her company. Yet I can also respect and understand the importance of doing it on her own. Cleric had offered to start my Vegas casino, but I wanted to branch out on my own.
All my senses go on high alert when I open my door. There are rose petals on the floor. I cautiously follow the trail. The scent of Maeve hangs in the room. I’m torn between ripping the guards a new one or enjoying this little game. She made it to Vegas without me knowing and broke into my apartment. My dick is harder than it’s ever been.
Sitting on my glass coffee table is a thick piece of white paper. Her delicate penmanship accompanied by a red kiss.
Find me before I pluck the last rose petal to claim your prize. Fail and I’ll see you back at Le Louve.

Guess who
“We’ll see about that,” I say aloud. I’m wildly curious as to what awaits me. With excitement running through my veins, I hurry out the door. No doubt she’s gone outside. In fact, I think I know exactly where she is. The rose petals. Coming back here. My girl is sentimental. Which means she’s by the garden waiting for me.
When I spot the scattered rose petals by the hedges, I almost panic that I’m too late. But then I find her. And fuck me. She’s holding a rose full of deep red petals, meaning she hasn’t plucked any. Maeve had no intention of returning without seeing me. What a prize that lies before me, too. She’s dressed as a naughty Little Red Riding Hood.
“I’m going to die if I don’t have you now.” My words come out strangled and desperate.
“Well, you found me. And look, in plenty of time.” She twirls the rose between her fingers. Then she runs it along her lips, down her chin, to between her luscious breasts.
Mine. She’s all mine. Forever.
I rip my clothes off as I watch her tease me with the rose. An animalistic groan escapes me and I see her whole body shudder. “I want everything off, but the cape.”
She nods eagerly and allows me to remove the sexy garments. The flimsy fabric rips in some places with how rough I’m being. Maeve is perfect, just perfect in every way for me. I’m driven wild by my respect, admiration, and complete awe of this woman. I never would’ve expected to have such a tender woman in my arms. Yet she can handle me easily.
I skate hot kisses along her skin as I finish removing the last shred of material that is standing between me having her. Her little pants and murmurs of my name are the sweetest sounds in the world. It doesn’t take long before my tongue coaxes an orgasm out of her. Just like our first weekend together. Only this time, there’s no pretending. This time, she won’t leave without me. This time, it’s forever.
Tasting her release doesn’t ease the overpowering need to be inside her. I ease up her body, placing kisses all along the way until I’m lined up perfectly. I thrust into her deep and hard. My movements are slow and deep. “I love you,” I whisper against her red lips.
I lean back so I can look into her eyes and know she’s feeling what I am. Our deep connection. And yes, it’s mirroring back at me.
“I love you,” she whimpers between moans. I hook her legs over my shoulders, so I can take her even deeper. I find a steady rhythm that has us both on the verge of seizing our pleasure. My body is lost to her. The orgasm comes on so violently that I’m shaking and calling out her name. My release sends her over the edge again. I collapse on top of her, but still put most of my weight on my forearms so as not to crush her.
I kiss her forehead. “Thank you. This is the greatest day of my life.”
She giggles. “Really? I’m more than happy to give you more greatest days of your life.”
“That sounds like the promise of a happily ever after, Miss Goodman.”
“Do you believe in them?”
“I didn’t until I met you. But you know what would be a perfect happily ever after?”
“What?”
“Calling you Mrs. Deschamps. Do you think you could ever marry your stalker?”
“The man who I already had a fake engagement with?” she teases.
“What about your mistaken rideshare driver? I could become a real rideshare driver if you want.”
“You’d do that for me?”
“Damn right I would.”
Her finger comes up and traces the line around my jaw. “I think I could marry the man I love. And before you threaten to kill anyone, it’s you. I could marry you.”
“Yes? Wait – you said could? Will you marry me? Will. When making deals the wording has to be very clear.”
“Yes. I will marry you.”
We seal our deal for happily ever after with a kiss.
The End
