Dirty Brothers (Sinners Welcome #5)
Chapter 1
ONE
MOLLY
That son of a cunt!
He fucking cheated on me.
I stare down at the Instagram post and grind my teeth, this bastard was tagged in the post kissing my friend! What’s worse, she didn’t even push him away, she had her arms wrapped around his neck and her leg locked around his hip.
“I’m sorry, Lollie.” I sigh and run a hand through my hair.
I knew Brady was being shady but I never expected him to cheat.
We have been dating since freshman year of college, and we're juniors now. We made plans. Once he was drafted into the NHL, I would travel with him and get a job as the team photographer. “Please don’t hate me for telling you.” I look over at Lennon and sigh.
“I could never hate you,” I say as I pull her in for a hug, this girl is a true girl’s girl . She will always have your back and never allow anyone to talk shit about those she cares for. Her and I became friends last year and have been close ever since.
She smiles at me as we pull apart. “What are you going to do?”
I smirk. “A lady never gets mad.” Her brows raise in confusion. “We get even, baby.” A mischievous look enters her eyes and she grins.
“What did you have in mind?”
“A frat party.” Her lips pinch to the side so I push on.
“There’s a mixer tonight. All the teams are going to be at the new bar.
Brady’s most hated rivals.” It sounds like a bad idea, but right now I’m feeling reckless and the need to let loose and just live is overwhelming.
Brady and I had drifted apart a long time ago but I was prepared to put in the work to make our relationship last, even if it meant sacrificing my wants and needs for his.
But, not anymore.
Tonight, I am going to let go and embrace all my darkest desires with a stranger and pray he can fuck me hard enough to rid me of thoughts of my ex.
“How did you know about this?” she presses.
I nibble on my bottom lip, debating if I should be honest. In the end I give up and spill the truth. “I overheard some of the guys talking about it.”
L ennon and I are dressed to kill. She’s wearing a skin-tight gold halter dress with a plunging neckline to show off her goods. Her sleek brown hair is curled and loose down her back, her dark brown eye makeup is on point, making her green eyes pop.
I chose to go with a black sequined dress that hugs my curves and pushes my tits up nicely.
I'm wearing a pair of six-inch heels that make my legs look longer than my five-foot-five height allows naturally.
My blonde hair is tied back in a high ponytail, my makeup minimal—I went for a more natural look.
I can feel Lennon’s nervousness as we near the front door of the club. Her and I tend to stick to our dorm room and read when I’m not with Brady or fussing over my camera, but not tonight. We are going to hold our heads high and have a good fucking time like most twenty-one-year-old college kids.
The bouncer takes one look at us and smiles, then reaches into a duffle bag at his feet and pulls out two masks. Lennon and I stare at the lace masks that will shield half our faces then back to the man.
“To enter you must wear the masks and keep them on the entire time, remove them and you will be escorted out,” he says.
“Why?” I blurt.
“Tonight, everyone’s identity is secret.
This is the place where those who wish to be anyone but themselves can come for a fun night with no strings attached.
Now, are you going in or not?” When the people behind us begin to moan and shout for us to hurry up, we snatch the masks and secure them before heading inside.
The moment we pass through the second set of doors, I feel it.
Sexual tension so thick it chokes you.
The music is loud and the lights are dim, people are everywhere. Some are dressed in next to nothing while others are covered completely, but the one thing they all have in common is every single one of them is wearing a mask.
“What the fuck is this place?” I say loud enough for Lennon to hear as we make our way toward the bar, interlocking my fingers with hers so we don’t lose each other.
“I have no idea,” she says. As we join the line for the bar, I look around and note there is an upstairs area but no one is milling about or hanging over the railings, so I assume it's for VIPs only.
Once we get our drinks, we manage to find a small table with two stools.
I moan when I take a sip of my drink, the bartender said fruit tingles were the drink of the night so I went for that.
Lennon keeps darting her gaze around like she is worried someone is going to jump out of the shadows and grab her.
“Are you okay?” I press.
She nibbles on her lip and nods but even in the low lighting I can see the panic in her eyes. “I don’t like being out in the open.”
“Why?” I press.
“The last time I was out in the open, he found me. My mom sent him to prison and he just got out.” My eyes widen to the size of saucers.
“Who?”
She swallows and I can tell this is hard for her to say so I remain silent as she gathers herself. “My stepfather.”
I gasp. “Did he rape you?” I blurt out.
She reels back and shakes her head vigorously. “No. He would never hurt me.” The conviction in which she says that has me believing her. “My mom hated that I loved him. She sent him to prison over a lie. No one would listen to me when I tried to tell the truth.”
“What did she lie about?”
Her eyes take on a hard edge. “She said he touched me when he never did.” I reach across and grip her hand in mine and give it a squeeze.
“I’m so sorry, Len,” I say.
Her shoulders deflate and she bows her head. “Do you mind if I get out of here?” Disappointment fills me at the thought of my plans to forget Brady go up in smoke but I nod and push off my stool.
“Let’s go.”
She shakes her head and quickly stands, then grips my hands in hers. “Stay, Molly. I can get a Lyft back to the dorms and if you need me, text me?—”
“I’m not letting you leave here alone?—”
“Stop! I’m a big girl, stay and enjoy yourself, please!” I debate refusing her but she won’t listen. She kisses me on the cheek and heads out while I stand here and watch her go. Once she disappears into the crowd, I sigh and turn around, only to come face to face with three masked men.
