Chapter 10 #2

Like fuck he did, but whatever. If she wants to pretend she’s not a whore, then I’ll play along for now.

Fishing out the first aid kit that is always kept re-stocked since the twins tended to need it on the regular growing up, I place it on the kitchen counter, finding the saline and gauze pads that Trudi will need to clean me up.

I sit on the stool, and she stands in front of me trying to do the job she said she was here to do, but it’s clear she rarely does this, if fucking ever.

I’m about to tell her to stop and fuck off when I hear a car pull into the drive.

Lily.

My heart races in anticipation of seeing her again, and I sit a little taller, excited to see how she’ll handle this situation.

Even as the front door opens and closes, I remain still as Trudi tries to dab at a cut. I hear the click of the boots Lily wears to work as she makes her way into the room, and my eyes instantly land on her as she stops abruptly, assessing what she’s walked into.

Meanwhile, Trudi ignores the fact that she knows someone has come into the room, just like the rude bitch she is.

Lily’s ocean eyes dance over my bruised, cut up face before her attention snaps to Trudi.

I bite the inside of my cheek, trying to hold back a triumphant smile as Lily’s gaze travels down Trudi’s scantily clad body, stopping on the narrow scrap of fabric she’s wearing as a skirt.

Not that I’d call it a skirt since it doesn’t even cover her arse cheeks in the least.

Then, I watch as Lily’s eyes narrow and darken with anger, and my fucking cock stirs.

Oh Lily. Are you jealous?

As she steps closer, she watches everything Trudi does. The way her hands touch my arm, shoulder, and chest. The peck of a kiss Trudi plants on my cheek. The way she rubs her tits against my arm.

“What are you doing?” Lily’s voice finally gains Trudi’s attention. At first, I think Lily is talking to me, but her eyes remain on Trudi.

“Oh, I didn’t see you there,” Trudi lies, flicking Lily a glance over her shoulder before returning her attention to me. “I’m cleaning up Asher’s cuts.”

When she dabs a cut at the corner of my eye, Lily’s eyes darken even more.

“Stop,” Lily demands, and Trudi’s brows shoot up in surprise.

Meanwhile, I relax back on the stool, still working to hold back my smirk.

“Why?” Trudi asks, and Lily shakes her head in frustration.

“Because you obviously have no idea what you’re doing.” Reaching out, Lily snatches the gauze from Trudi’s fingers. “Move,” she snaps, and Trudi squeaks in alarm, moving out of the way quickly.

Finally, Lily steps between my legs to take over and I’m fucking chuffed.

“Wanna tell me how you ended up like this?” Lily asks, using her mum tone.

Fuck, should I tell her how much it turns me on? Probably not, because then she’ll never use it again. That would be a real shame.

“He won all five fights.” Trudi supplies not so fucking helpfully and Lily stops dabbing saline to the cut on my cheek as she closes her eyes and sucks in a deep breath.

“She was talking to me,” I snap at Trudi.

“Oh. Sorry,” she answers innocently, but I ignore her, keeping my gaze trained on Lily as her lids flutter open again and she resumes cleaning me up.

“You fought at The Rough House?”

This time it’s me who’s surprised. “You know about that place?”

“I know a lot of things, Asher. I’m not just a mum,” she says quietly so only I can hear, and I grin.

“Don’t I fucking know it.”

Her eyes meet mine then. She’s so close to me right now. Closer than is probably needed for the task she’s doing, but I’m not about to ask her to step back. No fucking way.

“Why were you fighting?” she asks as she moves to the other side of my face, cleaning it up.

“Money.”

Her brows shoot up. “If you need money, I can give it to you.”

“No,” I hiss, and her gaze darts to mine.

“No?”

“I won’t take charity, Lil. I’ll pay you back and then contribute. That’s only fair.”

She stops cleaning my cut for a beat, her eyes dancing between mine as she studies me.

“Okay,” she finally says quietly, her sweet breath fanning over my face, and fuck, I can’t help but grin.

“Thank you.”

“But,” she snaps, and I frown.

“But?”

Lily leans in close to my ear, those perfect fucking tits brushing my chest as she shifts, breathing the next words quietly so I’m the only one to hear.

“If you fuck her in my house, not only will I gut her and string her up by her intestines, but I’ll cut your dick off and put it through a meat grinder.”

Holy shit.

Fuck, that’s hot.

And twisted.

But hot.

Why the fuck is her psychotic alter ego so fucking enticing?

Lily Bennett really is jealous of Trudi.

I knew she had another side to her. I saw it the day she threatened my dad and more times since. But fuck, I believe every word that falls from her lips.

I must have a death wish for what I’m about to say, but fuck, Lily is worth dying for.

“So I’ll just go and fuck her somewhere else, then?”

Lily’s nostrils flare, and her lips part like she wants to say something. Maybe protest. But she doesn’t say a word. Instead, she snaps her mouth shut, glares at me, and spins on her heel, storming from the room.

Yeah. She wants me. Bad.

“What’s up her arse?” Trudi asks, and her grating voice startles me because for a moment I forgot she was even there.

“Time to leave,” I snap, standing from the stool.

“But…” she squeaks as I grip her upper arm and start dragging her to the front door. “I thought we might hang out for a bit.”

“Not fucking interested,” I snap again, opening the front door and shoving Trudi out into the night.

She spins to face me, but I close the door before our eyes meet, and I hear her call me an arsehole through the thick timber.

I fucking smile.

I really am an arsehole sometimes. Especially tonight.

Trudi had a purpose, and she just served it, and since I don’t really want to see her dead, she should be fucking thanking me.

I’m fairly certain Lily’s threat was real. She is a fiery redhead, after all, and fuck, my plan to rile her up couldn’t have gone better.

She wants me. After that little show, she can’t even fucking deny it to herself.

She was jealous. And I’m going to have fun reminding her of that.
