Chapter 2

Pax

“Obviously there was a misunderstanding,” Sully says as I rub the back of my neck. “You’re here for sex…kind of.” She gestures to my scrunched up face. “I can explain. I’m a romance author and I need to ask a guy some questions. Because…um…well…I don’t have much—any—experience.”

It all clicks into place. She’s a virgin.

And I just said that I wanted to lick her pussy.

Well, I didn’t get that part out explicitly, but she knew where I was going with that.

Welp. Too late to backtrack. I’m a straightshooter.

Always have been. When my captain asked me for this favor, I trusted him.

We both knew I could come in here detached—like I always do—even though she’s the coach’s daughter.

I wouldn’t screw things up here because I know my way around women.

“Alright. That works too. Ask me anything.” I sink down into the couch beside her and spread my legs, resting my head on clasped hands behind me. May as well get comfortable.

She shuffles away from me, bringing her feet under her. “Well, I have a lot of questions. I’m just not sure where to begin.”

“You’ve got one night to ask me anything, so start asking.”

“Alright, first question. How should I include your name in the back of my book? Pax Vaughn? Pax?”

“Neither. I’m good.”

“You don’t want me to thank you?”

“Nope.”

And then her brows stitch together. “Oh…because it’s a romance book, is that why?” She’s fiery when she’s not nervous. Cute.

“One hundred percent, baby.”

“If you don’t respect what I do—”

“Sit down. Don’t get all riled up. I just don’t need that kind of attention. Now, you got some real questions or what?”

“Fine.” She looks down at her phone, presumably because she’s prewritten some questions down. “What does an orgasm feel like for you?”

“Guns loaded. Alright…I’ve gotta think about that one.” I scratch my jaw. “I can’t say I’ve clocked those feelings. It just feels good.”

Her shoulders sag a little. Rightly so. “I know, I know. My answer is super lame, but I don’t know what an orgasm feels like. I just chase the feeling.”

Her eyes widen a bit at my explanation, and I like that she likes this answer better.

“That’ll do for now.”

“Tell you what, next time I have one, I’ll pay more attention and keep you posted.”

“I thought this was just a one time thing?”

“It is. I’ll throw that one in for free though.”

A half smile curls up her lips, and I can tell she wants to force it back down.

“Next question.”

“What’s your favorite position and why?”

Of course I can’t help studying her to see what position I’d put her in. First image that comes to mind is her straddling me, riding my cock.

“There’s a lot. Cowgirl. Reverse cowgirl. The hot seat. The socket. Pearly gates. And then there’s always face off.”

“Oh.” Her cute mouth has turned a little pouty, and I can tell she has no clue what I’m talking about.

“I’m sure you’ve seen them on different porn sites.”

“I um…” She pushes her hair back and ducks her head. “I don’t watch porn.”

I cough. It’s like a splutter of shock. Though I try not to, I can’t contain my disbelief. “Like, ever?”

With pink-tinged cheeks, she shakes her head and mumbles, “That’s why you’re here.”

“Sure. Well I can show you them.”

“That works.”

You know what else works? My dick. He’s getting stiff just thinking about different sex positions with this girl even though I know our clothes will be on.

“I know this is crazy, Pax. It’s just that I needed someone who wasn’t embarrassed about all this. Like I am.”

“But you write it?”

“I know. That adds another level of crazy that I don’t care to explain tonight.

But I was just hoping we could recreate some scenes so I could see what’s actually possible.

Like, understand the perspectives and stuff.

And I just don’t love watching porn. So…

” She looks up at me shyly, as if I’m going to refuse her request. Most women I sleep with are looking for something from me.

Status. A tag on their socials. Bragging rights.

Or sometimes more. But from the hesitant yet innocent look in Sully’s eyes, I know she’s pure.

Besides, I’ve seen her around. I know who her friends are and they’re all good people. I trust her. “Could we try some?”

“Ya.” I’m pulling at the hair on top of my head. “Fair warning. We might be practicing these positions, but Little Pax doesn’t know the difference. So you’re gonna have to ignore him.”

“Sure. I can do that.”
