Chapter 19

Chapter Nineteen

ELLA

We made it back to school for the last class of the day. I said goodbye to Sonny and Aiden, and forty-five minutes later, I found them waiting outside the door for me. People whispered as I walked down the corridor in the arms of two hot billionaire boys.

I was finally popular.

No longer an outsider.

Aiden wove his fingers between mine, holding my hand like we were dating. It sure as hell felt like it. We gravitated toward each other like magnets, surrounded by an invisible energy field, unable to resist our attraction.

“Alex is meeting us at her locker,” Aiden told me. “She’ll go home with you, and I’ll pick her up later. That good with you?”

I nodded as we rounded the corner and headed toward the locker bank. “I hope this works.”

“It will,” Sonny said, confident as usual. “Just make sure you sell it to your dad, and you’ll spend Saturday night on my yacht with us.”

A big-ass grin tugged at his pretty mouth. The three of us fell into a familiar groove, strolling through the school like we owned the place. His palm touched my back but didn't stay there long before it inched lower until his big hand squeezed my ass.

I gasped at the sudden connection.

“You got a fat ass, El.” Sonny grabbed another handful of my flesh, sliding up my skirt an inch. “I can’t wait to fuck you from behind and watch this ass shake with my cock deep inside you.”

“Um,” I stammered, unsure how to respond and so turned on by the thought of having sex with Sonny. “I’ve never…”

I was so out of my depth with Aiden and Sonny. They’d been with girls and boys and were way more experienced than me.

“She’s a virgin,” Aiden said before I could get the courage to say it aloud. “Don’t push her to do anything she doesn’t want.”

“Hey, I’m not pushing her to do anything,” Sonny countered, head held high. “I’m just saying… When our girl is ready, I got dibs on her ass.” He palmed it again, not giving a shit that everyone was looking at us. “I’m kinda obsessed with it.”

Aiden flashed a wicked smile at Sonny that was both sexy and terrifying. “How about we let Ella decide what she wants?”

I couldn’t believe they were having this conversation in a crowded hallway. Sonny flaunted his sexuality, waving it around like a flag. He wanted everyone to notice him. He enjoyed being admired and praised for being hot and talented.

And Aiden was like a hurricane.

He didn’t care who or what he destroyed to get what he wanted. Aiden could easily be the King of Astor Prep but didn’t care about social status. I admired him for sticking to his roots. The poor, disadvantaged kid was still ingrained in him. Unlike Sonny, who wanted admiration, Aiden wanted to get through life and have fun doing it.

“That’s my sister,” Aiden said, pointing at the prettiest girl I’d ever seen in person.

Blonde spiral curls spilled down Alex’s back and nearly reached her waist. The navy blue skirt rode up her thighs as she stood on her tippy toes to grab a messenger bag from the shelf. Her legs were long and tanned, a twig compared to Aiden. She needed more meat on her bones, but she was still gorgeous.

Alex was even hotter than Aiden, as if that was possible. The Wellington twins had the faces of movie stars. Aiden reminded me so much of Ryan Phillipe… if he had tons of tattoos and a bad attitude. And Alex had a Kate Hudson vibe.

Damian Salvatore stood on her right side, staring at her body like a predator sizing up his prey. He was not right in the head. Everyone said he was unhinged and dangerous.

Bastian was on Alex’s left, taking the bag from her hand. He flashed a warm smile when she spun around to face him, and she returned the gesture. When they looked at each other, something sparked between them. Even from a distance, I felt it.

Luca, the evil mastermind of the group, waited for her impatiently, tapping his fingers on his thigh. He watched Alex with a wild look that made me shiver. Every girl at Astor Prep had a crush on him. He wasn’t even the wealthiest kid at school, but the Salvatores were the most powerful. Well, they were until the Wellington twins arrived.

“Lexie,” Aiden called out to his sister.

Alex’s face lit up, and she ran over to us, flinging her arms around his neck. “Aid, I missed you.”

He kissed her cheek. “Missed you, too, sis.”

I was a little jealous of their relationship. My older brothers were protective but not huggers. I couldn’t recall a single time any of them showed me affection, which only made losing my mom hurt more.

“Well, aren’t you two fucking adorable?” Sonny slung his arms over Alex and Aiden’s shoulders, standing between them. “Until you two came to Astor Prep, I was the hottest piece of ass walking these halls. Now, you’re both giving me a run for my money.”

Alex laughed. “You’re crazy, Sonny.”

“It’s the truth, Little Wellington. You and your brother are the talk of this school. Everyone wants to either be you or fuck you.”

“Yeah,” she muttered, her gaze shifting to the Salvatore brothers leering at her from the open locker. “I have plenty of attention, that’s for sure.”

“I don’t want it,” Aiden tossed back, slipping from Sonny’s grasp. “Nor do I care. These people can go fuck themselves.”

This was why I liked him so much. Aiden’s no fucks given attitude was so attractive.

“I’d rather you fuck me,” Sonny said, a cocky grin in place. “While I fuck Ella.”

What the hell?

My cheeks instantly flushed with heat.

“Oh God.” Alex gasped, covering her mouth with her hand. “Sonny, you can’t say stuff like that.”

“Don’t be such a prude,” Sonny chided. “It’s just sex.”

He slid over to me, graceful as usual, and pulled me into his chest. Towering over my five feet four inches, he bent down to flick his tongue over my earlobe. “What do you think, El?” I couldn’t suppress the moan that escaped my lips when he licked my neck. “Wanna give it a try on Saturday? You, me, and Aiden. I’ll even feed you breakfast in bed.”

My skin pebbled with tiny bumps of arousal. I swore the temperature in the room increased fifty degrees in the last ten seconds. With Sonny breathing on my skin, my heart raced, clambering out of my chest.

“Well, El?” Sonny’s hand inched up my throat. “Can you handle both of us?”

I opened my mouth to answer him but was cut off by Aiden.

“Don’t say a word, Cinders.” He stole me away from Sonny, wrapping one around my middle. “Remember what I said earlier? You’re the boss. Not him.”

I tilted my head back to look up at him. We didn’t need words. His actions alone told me everything I needed to know about Aiden. He would never intentionally hurt me. If I gave Aiden my virginity, he would cherish it. It wouldn’t be just sex to him.

“This is getting weird,” Alex said, striding over to me, hand extended. “Hey, I’m Alex. I’ve heard so much about you. Aiden talks about you all the time.”

Aiden groaned. “Lexie, c’mon.”

Alex chuckled, her big, blue eyes aimed at me. “Okay, maybe not all the time. But he’s told me a lot about you. I hear you’re going to RISD with us in the fall.”

“Hoping to go. Still waiting for my early decision letter.”

“I’m sure you’ll get one,” Alex said, confident despite not knowing me, only what Aiden told her. “So, Aiden says your dad is super strict, and you need help convincing him to let you hang out with us this weekend.”

I nodded. “Sorry, I know this is lame.”

“Oh, I don’t mind at all.” She smiled at me and then at her brother, glowing like the sun. “I know what it’s like. My mom was awful. She never let us do anything.”

“Thanks for doing this.”

Marcello strolled toward us, dressed in navy blue sweatpants and a matching Warriors football T-shirt, his muscles bulging beneath the fabric. Alex’s eyes widened as he approached.

“We have practice, Son.” Marcello shook his head. “I shouldn’t have to come looking for you when we’re one game away from the championships.”

“I was preoccupied with more pressing matters,” he said, eyeing up Aiden and me like pieces of meat.

“Your sex life can wait until after we win.” Marcello curled his long fingers around Sonny’s bicep. “Let’s go. Coach is asking about you.”

“So serious, Marcello.” Sonny clicked his tongue and turned to look at us. “I’ve been summoned. I’ll see you two on Saturday.”

I bobbed my head.

Aiden did, too.

Alex took one look at the Salvatore brothers. They were still staring, and it freaked me the fuck out.

“How can you stand it?” I asked Alex on our way down the corridor. “The way they watch over you is intense.”

She followed my gaze and shrugged. “They’re harmless.”

“So are snakes.” Aiden snickered. “Until they bite.”
