Nineteen
Bianca
D ominic was gone when I woke the following morning.
His scent still clung to my pillow though.
I lay there for a beat, thinking about our night together before I trudged to my bathroom and showered, taking care to move slowly since he’d wrecked me the night before.
Once I made myself presentable, I left my room and headed outside.
My phone buzzed as I walked, so I pulled it out to find a message that simply read, Meet us in the center of the courtyard.
I didn’t need to guess who wanted me. I quickly made my way to the courtyard to see it filled with tons of students before classes. It wasn’t unusual for all those people to be there. It was the meeting spot for many and place to recount the past weekend as everyone congregated and chatted.
“Bianca,” Hail called out to me.
I swallowed and focused on Dominic in the middle of the courtyard with Vincent and Levin on either side of him.
“Bianca,” Hail shouted again, rising from the bench he’d been sitting at, the lords and his minions around him. He cursed as I kept going, focused on the three drop dead gorgeous men waiting for me.
When I reached the kings in the center, I stopped and stared up at Dominic.
“Good morning, wasp,” he greeted me, his dangerous smile in place.
“You’re walking funny this morning, B,” Vincent added.
“Eat shit, Valentino,” I hissed at him.
My retort only caused him to snicker. I cast a quick look at Levin who didn’t have quite the warm greeting for me. He simply stared back at me, his lip curled like I’d brought a stench with me.
“Looks like Ivanov is pissed off,” Vincent said, looking over my shoulder.
“He called out for me.”
“We heard,” Vincent continued with a smirk.
“Kiss me,” Dominic said, his gaze never deviating from mine.
“ What? Here? Now? In front of everyone?” I swallowed and stared up at him like he was crazy.
“I claimed every fucking piece of you just hours ago. Need I remind you of our deal?” He cocked his head at me.
“Do what you’re told, wasp, or I’ll shove you right back to Ivanov and let him and his wolves tear you to shreds.
Do you think he’ll be happy knowing I fucked his girl and left the scraps for him? ”
Anger coursed through me at his words. I’d been so stupid to think he gave a shit about me.
“Now get over here and kiss me,” he said in a soft, dangerous snarl, his eyes dark as they swept over me.
Tears filled my eyes. “Dominic, he’ll kill me—”
He moved forward fast and gripped my face tight with both hands. “I won’t let him hurt you. I promise,” he snarled. “I gave you my word, Bianca.”
My heart thudded as he stared down at me.
“ Kiss me. You belong to the kings now. To me. No one touches what belongs to me. Now the only fucking answer you have for me is yes, Dominic .”
I swallowed and exhaled. “Yes, Dominic,” I whispered and leaned in, knowing my world was about to get royally fucked .
My lips met his in a hot tangle of tongues, his grip on my face giving way as his fingers threaded through my hair. I got lost in the moment, forgetting everything else as he clutched me to him.
And then reality struck.
“What the fuck are you doing?” Hail shouted, grabbing my arm and hauling me away from Dominic, effectively breaking our kiss.
I turned to him before glancing at the kings for help, but they simply stood there, watching.
When I turned back to Hail, he raised his hand to strike me across the face. I covered my head, but Hail didn’t even make it halfway to me before Dominic gripped his wrist.
“You don’t fucking touch what belongs to me,” he snarled, twisting Hail’s arm.
“She’s my fiancée,” Hail shot back, his face red with anger.
Dominic gave him a shove and released him.
“Take off his ring,” Dominic commanded, not looking at me.
I’d forgotten I even had it on. I quickly took it off my finger and placed it in Dominic’s open hand. He threw it at Hail’s chest. Hail caught it quickly, his gaze shooting to me. His guys stood behind him, looking confused.
“Everyone, listen up,” Dominic shouted into the courtyard.
Everyone had turned to watch the encounter already.
“Bianca D’Angelou is now property of the kings. Anyone who fucks with her, fucks with us, and we’re not the kinds of people you want to fuck with.” He hauled me to him and planted another kiss on my lips, leaving me breathless.
“What the fuck is going on?” Hail demanded, stepping closer as Dominic released me to Vincent who wasted no time in bringing my back to his chest as he wound his arm around my waist.
“This is the fun part, B,” Vincent said gleefully in my ear as Dominic stepped toward Hail. “Pay attention.”
“You hurt her. You forced her to suck the dicks of your friends. I saw the bruises and the burn on her skin. You treated her like trash, and you know you did. But me? I was the guy waiting for you to fuck up so I could take her from you. What’s that feel like, Ivanov?
And knowing that your girl let me fuck her last night in her bed when you’ve been trying for how long now?
All I had to do was give her a little hope for something better, and I was in.
She came for me many times. I own her first time and fuck was it good. ”
“You son of a bitch.” Hail reared back and sent his fist flying toward Dominic.
Levin caught Hail’s fist before it hit its mark. Dominic didn’t even flinch. He simply smiled at Hail as Levin shoved him so hard he stumbled back, falling on his ass.
His guys helped him to his feet, looking like they were ready to bolt and fight, but torn at the consequences of both.
“You’re fucking dead,” Hail snarled, getting to his feet. “All of you. Fucking dead. Except you.” He leveled his gaze on me. “You, I’m going to fucking break and make them watch while I do it, shlyukha .”
And with those sweet words, he turned and stormed through the courtyard, people scattering away from him.
“Looks like we’re going to war,” Vincent said in my ear as he continued to hold me. He pressed a kiss to my temple. “I love the idea of bathing in their blood.”
“I hope you know what you’re doing,” Levin said, glancing from Dominic to me.
“It’s just a war.” Dominic turned to take me from Vincent. “Many men go to war for women. We’re just getting history over with, right, wasp?”
I gave him a shaky smile as he tightened his hold on my waist.
This might have been a really bad idea.
