Chapter Carmen Royal #4
I swallowed hard because his words were now feeling like what they were supposed to mean in our vows.
My heart was pounding hard in my chest, and I didn’t even want to calm it down.
I just let him hold me there. He kissed my forehead, then my lips again, slower this time, and every part of me felt calm.
The kind of calm that only happened when you felt safe enough to breathe with the right man.
That was the thing about Dom… the world bowed to him, but he treated me like I was the only thing that could bring him peace and right then, with his arms around me and his phone face down on the counter, I believed it.
His hand stayed on my stomach, with his thumb moving back and forth slowly like he was tracing something only he could feel.
It seems like the air between us shifted, but I couldn’t explain to what.
He didn’t say another word; he just kept his eyes on me.
He leaned in again, this time slower, and kissed me the way a man did when they knew you belonged to them.
It was the kind of kiss that made your knees weaken your thoughts starts racing.
I slid my arms around his neck and pressed closer as we swallowed each other’s tongues.
He smelled so good as his Clive Christian filled my nostrils.
Dom always had the kind of scent that reminded me who he was out there in those streets but also who he was in here with me.
His hands moved down my back, gripping like he was grounding himself, and I felt every inch of the control he carried starting to melt right here in my living room.
He whispered in my ear as his deep voice tickled it. “Carmen.”
I barely managed to whisper back, “Yes?”
His lips brushed my ear. “You mine, you know that? No more contract bullshit. I told you that and I mean that shit.”
For a woman who always knew what to say, Carmen ‘Mrs. Dominic Royal’ didn’t know what to say besides, “I love you.”
He kissed me again, and when he lifted me up, I wrapped my legs around his strong waist. I felt the small click of my Glock holster bump against his wrist as he carried me toward the bedroom.
That sound alone reminded me we were who we were, even in moments like this we made sure power and protection were never far apart.
When Dom gently laid my backside on bed, it molded to my silhouette as I spread my thighs to allow his body to comfortably fit although he didn’t want to apply pressure on me. I noticed the way he tensed up. “What’s wrong?” I asked him.
It’s almost like his dick, and his mind were battling because the stiffness from his brick had me wanting it now, but the look on his face said no matter how bad he wanted to give it to me, something was stopping him.
“When we go to your appointment and find out that everything is fine, I’ma fuck you like my life depends on it, but in the meantime you gon’ have to take this tongue Carmen. I can’t take any chances.”
I hated that for us, but arguing with him telling him otherwise wouldn’t be useful right now because Dominic Royal did whatever he wanted to do when his mind was made up and quite truthfully, he may have been right, however, that didn’t stop the warmth and moistening I felt coming from my pussy.
I wanted him and I wanted him now! So, the tongue would have to do, which was good too.
Before I could respond, Dom was already removing my clothes as he sat both his and my Glocks on the dresser.
When he had me stripped down to nothing, he took a long sniff of my pussy and licked his lips before he took me to the heaven gates and back.
By the time he finished eating me out from the front, back, and side, I didn’t have any more energy left to do anything besides go to sleep.
When I woke up, I was half under his arm, with his chain pressed against my shoulder, and the soft buzz of the ceiling fan filled the quiet. He was still half awake, scrolling through something on his phone with his other hand resting over my stomach like it was second nature now.
“You still up?” I asked, in a raspy voice still full of sleepiness
He looked down at me. “Barely.” He said as he pulled me closer. “You love it here.”
“Here?” I asked.
“Yeah,” he replied, “With me, unless you wanna tell me I’m lying.”
I stared at him for a second. The glow from the lights outside bounced off his fine ass face, all gold and brown and yet still the most dangerous man in the city, and it hit me that I did love it there.
It wasn’t the chaos, and not the empire, but the rare peace that only existed when he was like this… showing his love.
“Absolutely not lying.”
I laid there with my head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his breathing, the same man the streets feared, and women whispered about was now holding me like I was something sacred.
I was no longer just the lawyer. I didn’t feel like the woman cleaning up everybody’s messes.
I truly just felt like his and in this city that took everything from you if you weren’t careful, that feeling alone was dangerous enough, but I couldn’t shake it.
