Epilogue
Six months later, the Royal estate looked like something out of a movie.
The entire mansion had been transformed for the ball with long black carpets stretched across the front entrance while candles flickered inside tall glass cylinders lining the walkway.
Gold lights were wrapped around the palm trees outside, making the whole property glow against the Miami night.
The luxury cars lined the circular driveway one after another with black trucks service, Bentleys, Rolls-Royces, and Lamborghinis.
Every few seconds another valet opened a door for somebody dripping in diamonds, custom suits, or designer gowns.
Inside, the mansion was even crazier. Gold chandeliers hung from the high ceilings and tall white roses and black orchids sat in the center of every table as soft jazz played through hidden speakers while waiters moved through the crowd with champagne glasses and expensive liquor on silver trays.
Everybody who mattered was there. The politicians, the athletes, the rappers, and the business owners.
It was people from Miami, people from overseas, and people who knew the Royals through business or blood…
and then… there was the cartel in attendance as well.
Dom’s hittas filled the mansion from wall to wall, and all of them were dressed down for once in black tuxedos, fitted suits, watches, chains, and clean shoes instead of bulletproof vests and guns.
Even though security was everywhere, tonight didn’t feel tense.
It felt like a celebration because for once, the Royals had something to celebrate.
Dom stood near the grand staircase with one hand in his pocket and the other on the small of Carmen’s back while she stood beside him in a fitted black gown that hugged every inch of her body.
Her hair fell down her back in soft curls, and the diamonds around her neck sparkled every time she turned her head.
However, the real star of the night was in Carmen’s arms. Majestic Royal was six months old and already spoiled beyond belief.
She had on a tiny pink-colored dress with soft gold details, little baby shoes, and a tiny headband around her thick dark curls.
Everybody in the room kept stopping just to look at her because she was beautiful.
She had Dom’s eyes, Carmen’s face, and enough attitude already that she would fuss the second somebody held her too long.
Dom looked down at his daughter and smirked when she grabbed hold of his finger with both hands. “She already spoiled,” he said.
“She get it from you,” Carmen replied.
Dom kissed Carmen on the lips before looking back down at Majestic again.
Every time he looked at that baby, something in him softened in a way nobody would have ever believed possible.
The Miami King was still dangerous and still feared.
He still had people jumping every time he walked into a room, but the second Majestic looked at him, all of that disappeared. A across the room got Dom’s attention.
Dique had just walked in with Keondra on his arm and Amour in his other hand.
Nobody would have believed it a year ago.
Dique Royal, the biggest player in Miami, was wrapped all the way up.
Keondra had on a dark green gown that hugged her body perfectly, and Amour had on a little suit with tiny sneakers and gold chains around her neck.
Dique looked proud and when he saw his big brother, he grinned.
“Tell Majestic her favorite uncle here.”
“You ain’t her favorite uncle,” Tone called out from across the room.
Everybody turned toward him. Tone stood near the bar with one arm around Shona while she laughed beside him. Their little boy sat on Tone’s hip dressed in a tiny tuxedo looking just as serious as his daddy.
“You got yo’ own child,” Dique said. “Mind yo’ business.”
“My son still cooler than yours,” Tone shot back.
“That’s because I ain’t got one yet nigga.”
Everybody laughed and Keondra shook her head and rolled her eyes while Dique leaned down and kissed her on the mouth like he didn’t care who was watching. That still shocked people every time they saw it because Dique had really hung his jersey up.
Across the room, O’Shynn stood near one of the tables with Malik beside her. She looked beautiful in a fitted gold gown with her hair down her back, and Malik looked just as good in a black tuxedo with diamonds around his neck and his AP shining.
The staff kept sneaking glances at him because even in Miami, people still recognized him immediately.
At first, O’Shynn had hated the attention.
Now she looked like she enjoyed it. Malik stood behind her with one hand on her waist while she talked to some of the women at the table, and every now and then he would lean down and whisper something in her ear that made her smile.
For the first time in a long time, she looked settled and happy.
Candy D stood nearby now holding Majestic since she took her from Carmen, while Marlon stood beside her with one hand in his pocket and a cigar in the other. “You know this little girl got every Royal man wrapped around her finger already,” Candy D said, smiling down at the baby.
“She gon’ be trouble,” Marlon muttered.
“Just like her daddy.”
Dom shook his head and took his daughter back into his arms. Majestic looked up at him with those big dark eyes and grabbed the collar of his tuxedo. “She ain’t gon’ be no trouble,” Dom said. “Ain’t that right baby,” he cooed at her.
Everybody around him laughed because nobody believed that for a second.
The music changed a little while people started moving toward the dance floor as more drinks got poured and more laughter filled the room.
For once, there was no blood, no enemies, no funerals, no loose ends, and no women from the past trying to destroy what Dom and Carmen built.
It was no war, and no chaos either, just family, love and peace.
Dom looked around the room and took all of it in.
Tone was laughing with Shona while Dique was playing with Amour while Keondra tried fixed his tie.
O’Shynn was leaning into Malik, and Candy D and Marlon were just happy to see their crazy kids grow their families and see another year alive.
Dom watched his people spread through the mansion, and standing in the middle of all of was Carmen.
He placed Majestic back in her arms, and she had that same smile on her face that had been getting to him since the day he met her.
He pulled her closer to him without thinking twice about it and wrapped one arm around her waist and pulled her against him while she looked up at him.
“What?” she asked in a soft voice.
“Nothing.”
She raised a brow while chuckling. “Well, you staring.”
“Cause you beautiful.”
Carmen smiled and leaned up to kiss him real soft and slow.
When she pulled back, Dom rested his forehead against hers while Majestic sat between them making little baby noises.
Outside, fireworks exploded over the water behind the mansion, lighting the sky up in gold colors and everybody in the room turned toward the windows.
Just then, Dom noticed someone walk in and he nodded his head in that direction.
“Look,” he told her.
Her eyes followed his and she smiled when she saw Kilo making his rounds, glad that he’d come because he would forever have a special place in her heart.
Dom had been mentoring him the past few months as well and for the first time in a long time, the Royal family had exactly what they fought so hard for. EVERYTHING!
