It’s been five days that Levi’s been here in Wintervale with me.

“Not all men will, maybe he’s waiting for you to give him the okay.”
“Did you have to do that with Paxton?”
Piper stares at me. “Do you really want me to answer that?”

“Paxton and I moved really fast. But you have to keep in mind that I didn’t have three older brothers watching over me. Levi could be waiting because he’s worried about your brothers.”
“My brothers? They’re not scary.”
“To a man who’s in love with you? They could be.”
“Ugh. Did they say something to him? You need to tell me.”
“Not that I know of, Lissy. Emma, Emiko and I are on your side. We keep telling them to let you and Levi figure things out. But they’re really protective of you. So they still might have.”
