Donut Put It There (Erotic Eatz #3)

Donut Put It There (Erotic Eatz #3)

By T.R. Oldin

6. Chapter 6

Just breathe. Just take a breath and don’t black out. That would be embarrassing as fuck.

All the things I need for my presentation are in my bag. It’s going to be fine. I know everyone in the room, and they won’t judge me for the topic. If anything, I think most of them will back my idea.

It’s the public speaking part that I’m not good at. The presentation is good, I just have to actually be able to present it.

My hands tighten around the wheel as I pull into our state’s famous donut shop.

Everyone in the state loves it, and it just so happens to be near my workplace.

I preordered everything because I know these will be a good distraction today during the meeting, and maybe it can even help convince a few to come around to my idea.

Bypassing the long line, I move to the pickup area and grab the three boxes of donuts waiting for me.

One can never be overprepared with sweet treats.

Every great project has to have an even better snack on the conference table, otherwise people won’t want to come to your presentations.

That’s why they got rid of Bob last month.

He thought raisins were a good, healthy option for everyone to munch on. Poor Bob.

Balancing my coffee in one hand and the boxes in the other, I rush back to my car. However, fate is a fickle bitch, and apparently she had other plans for me today, because when I set the coffee on the roof to place the boxes in the car, it slides down the slope of the car right as I stand back up.

Being the badass that I am not, I attempt to grab the piping hot cup mid-air, which only causes it to fall directly onto my pants.

“Holy mother of fucking liquid fire,” I nearly scream as I dance in my now scalding wet pants. Part of me wants to rip them off right here, but this is a very public place, and at least ten people are already staring at me.

Having the sense to not drop my drawers right here, I keep moving in an attempt to cool the coffee somehow. It helps a little.

Once the coffee cools, I lean into the car, careful to protect the precious donuts, and grab some wipes from the center console. I am nothing if not always prepared, even keeping an extra outfit in my trunk at all times.

Dabbing at my pants, I try not to tell myself this is karma for something in my past and just move on. This definitely isn’t a sign I shouldn’t be doing this presentation today or anything.

I’m just thankful that the coffee only went down the thighs, narrowly missing my crotch. With the help of these, I might be able to prevent a stain, but there’s no way I can wear this for the presentation.

Since I’m in a rush, I decide to change at the office and hop into the car.

To me, on time is late, so I make it a point to arrive at meetings at least fifteen minutes early when I can.

But for this presentation specifically, which is a big one, I made sure I could have the conference room for thirty minutes prior to beginning because I want to do a run through of everything to ensure it all goes smoothly.

Taking the back entrance so no one sees my pants, I make it all the way to the conference room door before I’m spotted.

“Hey, Leo. Can’t wait to hear your ideas for today.”

Marcus claps me on the shoulder, but I try to stay angled in the other direction so he can’t see the coffee dripping down my leg.

“Thanks, yeah. I hope everyone enjoys it.”

“Woah, dude, did you get goodies from Le Gla?age Fran?ais pastry shop for today?”

“Sure did.” I say it smugly, holding the boxes with the logo clearly printed on top of them.

“You brought out the big guns. The committee members are going to tear these up.”

Ducking my head, I try not to let him see the blush in my cheeks because there may be one guy I would very much like to impress today.

“I hope so. I know the pink sprinkled ones are Stephanie’s favorite, so I got her almost a whole box.”

He laughs, but I don’t because our boss is a spitfire.

I have never been so equally enamored and terrified of a person in my entire life.

She runs the company so well and always fights for everyone here with all she has.

But if you interfere with her work in any way or leave your shoes on in her office, be prepared for a world of pain.

Not physical pain, but she will work your brain until it exhausts you, making you come up with more innovative ways to improve the industry. It’s productive, but the way she grills you will have you questioning your life choices.

That’s what my presentation is about today. As interns, we are challenged with one large yearly project to present, of which they will pick three ideas to incorporate into the industry.

There are five interns total that start together for a competitive three year program. If your idea isn’t picked, you and one other intern have to work twice as hard to keep your place here, not really progressing on to the next stage of where you’re trying to get.

So, needless to say, if you nail the presentation, your job is secure. I have a lot riding on this. I don’t want to be in the bottom two. This is the home stretch for me. It’s what will determine if I move into my desired position or stay where I am.

But with the added weight of working double-time to prove my worth in hopes to move up next year, all the sleepless nights and double espressos, I can’t let myself botch this.

“Good luck in there today.” Marcus waves, snapping me back to the moment.

I give him a smile before watching him head towards the rooms in the back to get ready for the day. I was so lost in my head and nerves that my hands have started sweating, and I need to put this stuff down before I spill the coveted treats that may or may not be bribes.

I adjust the boxes in my arms and book it into the conference room. It’s a large room with one way windows on one side and a wall blocking me from my colleagues on the other.

After locking the door behind me, my heart begins to beat so hard I want to vomit. I set the boxes of donuts down before wiping my hands on my dirty pants to get all the sweat off because I can’t greet everyone with sweaty palms.

Slinging my satchel onto a nearby chair, I fish around for the clean pair of pants I keep handy. Finding them, I set them on the table and glance at my watch to check the time. Fuck! I only have fifteen minutes!

I was hoping to practice all of my notes before presenting it to the committee, but with the small chat and my nerves distracting me, time just got away from me.

Hurrying to set up the posters I had made, I quickly make sure that everything looks perfect before I grab my notes and realize I still need to change.

Fuck it, I’ll do what I can with what time I have left. Starting with these drenched pants that are clinging to my thighs.

Unbuckling my belt, I wrestle the wet material down my legs. My skin feels sticky, but I forgot to bring in wipes, so I try to ignore the discomfort.

Once I get them down around my ankles, I go to pull them off over my shoes when I lose my balance, effectively sending me tumbling down beside the extra large conference table that takes up seventy percent of the room.

There’s a hard thud against my temple, and the next thing I know, the three pink donut boxes begin to float up into the air as my body falls to the floor in a heap.

Stars dance across my vision, and the last thing I think before my world goes black is how much I hope no one breaks down the conference room door to find me passed out with my pants wrapped around my ankles.
