Chapter 20

Benson

Devon, Levi, and I are piled in the living room watching a movie. Well, they’re watching a movie, and I’m watching them.

I’ve been curious about them and their relationship for a while. Not that it’s any of my business, but I get the feeling there’s more going on behind closed doors than they let on.

“Do you have any plans tonight?” Devon asks, not taking his eyes off the TV or his fingers out of Levi’s wavy blond hair.

“Not tonight.”

For some reason, we decided as a group that maybe it would be best to stay in our own places. I have to admit that it’s not the best. Not that I don’t enjoy hanging out with Devon and Levi, of course. I do, but it’s definitely more fun being with Parker and Landon.

“You haven’t been around much lately. Only long enough to grab clothes and leave again,” Levi says, letting out a jaw-splitting yawn.

“Yeah, I know. I’m seeing…” Someone? Someones? People? “I’ve been seeing a couple of people.”

Devon snorts. “A couple? One not enough for you, man?”

“Nope. Not with these two. Couldn’t choose between them if I tried.”

My phone buzzes, lighting up on the coffee table, and when I see that it’s a message in our group chat, I nearly dive forward to grab it.

Cutie

today’s my birthday.

Me

What? Why didn’t you say anything?

Cotton Candy

Yeah, what gives?

Cutie

i’m saying something now.

Me

What do you want to do?

Cutie

nothing? it’s just a day.

Cotton Candy

It’s not just a day. IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY.

Me

Yeah, your 21st at that.

Cotton Candy

How about I make dinner?

Me

…Talented artist, most adorable enby on planet earth, and can cook? Shame marriages of three aren’t a thing.

I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face if I tried. These two have unleashed feelings in me that I didn’t even know existed.

Cotton Candy

I didn’t say I could cook well.

Cutie

that would be nice.

Cutie

as long as you’re sure.

Cotton Candy

I’m sure. Anything you like? I make a really good vegetarian lasagna and I can also do breakfast for dinner.

Cutie

lasagna sounds good.

Cotton Candy

Be here in an hour? Both of you?

Me

Sounds perfect.

Cutie

see you then.

I set my phone down with a smile. I’m falling in love with those two at an alarming rate. I think they’re falling too. At least, I hope they are.

“Guess I have plans after all,” I say, clearing my throat and standing.

Devon grins up at me. “Have a good night, dude.”

“Yeah,” Levi echoes, not even sparing me a glance.

After picking up my phone, I head into my bedroom, pulling the door shut behind me so I can pack a bag for tonight.

It seems kind of pointless to keep packing bags to go to Parker’s apartment when a great majority of our time is spent there.

I also know that if I started leaving things there, Parker might freak out.

After everything they shared about Lincoln, it’s no wonder they’re so afraid to let people in. I would be too. It’s not like many of my relationships have been serious. At least not as serious as I want the one between the three of us to be, but I’ve never had an experience like that before.

Landon’s got the right idea with the shitlist, and Lincoln’s at the top of mine, sharing space with Landon’s mom.

I throw a pair of jeans into my bag and grab my phone charger, then toss it in along with an extra pair of boxers and some socks.

The only thing we leave at Parker’s is an extra toothbrush. They’ve got enough hair and skincare products to serve a small army, even though I’m not sure I’ve ever seen them use any of it.

Gathering my stuff, I step into the living room. Devon and Levi are still in there. Levi is resting his head on Devon’s thigh, his eyes closed. Devon doesn’t even spare me a glance as I walk into the room.

“I’m heading out.”

Devon gives me a half-wave. “Have a good night.”

“You guys too.”

When I get to Parker’s, Landon is already there.

“Hey, you two,” I say, stepping into Parker’s small kitchen.

“No, not like that,” Parker says, hands on their hips. “Yes, exactly like that.”

“What’s going on in here?” I ask, chuckling.

Parker huffs, and Landon turns to me with a wry grin. “I’m getting yelled at on my birthday.”

“You are not getting yelled at. I’m just trying to teach you what to do.”

Landon nods. “Right. I’m not getting yelled at. I’m just getting put to work on my birthday.”

Parker rolls their eyes. Gripping Landon around the waist, I spin him, backing him against the counter. I lean in close enough to brush my nose along his, my heart thrumming at the way his breath hitches. “Happy birthday, Cutie. I can’t believe you didn’t tell us.”

“I wasn’t hiding it,” he breathes.

I slot my lips over his. I have literally no idea how I hung out with him for so long without this. Without the way his warm, supple mouth moves over mine, without the way his breath catches, and without the little whimpers and moans he lets out.

Cupping his jaw in my hand, I tilt his head to the side, deepening the kiss and sweeping my tongue past his lips. I know it’s probably impossible, but I’d almost swear I can taste Parker on his tongue.

When I finally break the kiss, Parker is blinking at us with open lust flashing in their eyes. It’s such a contrast to the way they looked at us the first time we kissed that it makes my heart skip a beat.

“Hi, Cotton Candy,” I say, grinning. Without letting go of Landon’s waist, I hook an arm around Parker, pulling them in until they’re pressed against Landon and me.

After Parker’s confession that they don’t want to feel like nothing to me, I always make sure to take extra care with them.

So I slide my fingers gently into their hair, cupping the back of their head, and pull them toward me.

The sigh they let out when our lips connect makes me smile into the kiss.

I make sure to keep it slow, even though I want nothing more than to do the opposite.

I want to possess them, own them. Both Parker and Landon.

I want to make them both mine in all the ways.

But my sweet Parker doesn’t want to feel like they’re nothing to me, so I keep it deep and gentle, not stopping until they pull away.

“If you’re trying to distract me, it’s working. Also, you’re both early.”

“How much did you beat me by?” I ask Landon.

He grins. “Long enough to get a kiss and be bossed around.”

I laugh. “Well, what can we say?” I wink at Parker. “When our options are here with you or literally anywhere else, the clear winner is you.”

Pink spreads across Parker’s cheeks. “That’s gross.”

“And you love it,” I whisper, leaning in and dropping a peck on their lips.

“You wish. Alright, now let me cook. Go… entertain yourselves or something.”

“Entertain ourselves?”

Parker nods, a hint of fear flashing in their eyes.

I search their face, looking for the meaning behind those words. They’re pushing themself. Seeing where their comfort level lies. Seeing if they’re going to be okay with us being together without them. “Are you sure?”

After a second’s hesitation, they nod. “I’m sure.”

I steal another kiss, but this time, I don’t keep it chaste or light or sweet. Parker groans against my lips, gripping my shirt tightly in their hand. When I pull away, Parker stares up at Landon.

The want burning in their gaze has my half-hard cock pressing against my zipper. “Can I have another kiss from you?” Parker asks softly.

“Yeah, Lovebug. Hell, you never have to ask. I’m yours—”

Parker cuts him off by rising on their tiptoes and kissing him. Heat and happiness swirl through my stomach as I watch them. God, they’re so beautiful together.

Landon smiles against Parker’s lips, and I find myself smiling too.

When Parker breaks the kiss, Landon’s still smiling. “Alright,” I say. “I’m gonna take Lan to the couch and entertain him.” Parker nods. “Communicate, Cotton Candy. If it makes you feel bad, just say the word, okay?”

They nod slowly. “I will.”

This is hard. Not because I don’t think I can show them equal attention, but because everything inside of me is screaming to keep them like this. With my body pinning Landon to the counter and Parker pressed against the two of us. Our little trio, complete and together.

Parker steps away first. “Go on, then.”

With a sigh, I let my arm drop from Landon’s waist and grab his hand instead. “Let’s go, Cutie.”

He follows me to the couch, and when we sit down, he leans close to me. “If you don’t want to do anything alone with me, that’s okay,” he says, voice low. “I’m not going to be upset about it.”

I stare at him in abject horror. Fuck, is that what he thinks? “You think I don’t want to?”

He shrugs. “I didn’t say that. I just don’t want you to think you have to. I understand. I won’t be upset.”

Without giving him any more time to protest, I move quickly, straddling him and pushing him backward on the couch with my body. His eyes widen as I lean in close, my lips hovering over his. “You think I don’t want you, Lan? That I’m not interested?”

“I didn’t say tha—”

“I can’t fucking breathe sometimes with how much I want you.

Keeping my hands to myself while we were trying to win Parker over was the hardest thing I’ve done in my life.

” I press my lips to his, swallowing his gasp.

“I think about you all the time. Your sweet blush and the way you whimper when I kiss you.”

Fisting both hands in his hair, I slam my lips down on his. His hands settle on my hips tentatively. “Fuck, that’s it, baby,” I murmur. “Touch me.”

Landon moans quietly, nearly sending my body up in flames.

His large hands roam my back, and his hips roll up, pressing his hardening cock against my ass. I mimic his movement, grinding myself against his stomach.

I lose myself in it a little bit. Kissing him. Rocking my body against his. Tugging on his hair until he’s whimpering and moaning into my mouth. “Fuck,” I breathe, rolling my hips as my cock throbs hard.

Landon shudders, his tongue swiping my bottom lip. When I slip mine past his lips, he sucks on it, and I almost come. “Holy shit.”

He chuckles, breathless. “Parker taught me that one earlier.”

That gorgeous fucking enby angel. “Yeah? Did they teach you anything else?”

Shaking his head, he tightens his grip on me. “No, but I’m always down to learn something new.”

Dragging my lips from his, I kiss over his jaw, and when he drops his head back against the couch, I kiss along his throat. After sucking a bruise into his skin, I sit back and admire my handiwork before diving back in.

The couch dips beside us, and I pull away. “Hey, Cotton Candy.” Blue eyes with blown pupils meet mine. “You okay?”

They nod slowly. “Yeah, I’m okay.”

“You sure?” Landon asks, reaching out to rest his hand on the side of Parker’s throat.

“I’m sure. Other than almost being dead.”

“Almost dead?” I ask, smiling.

“Yeah. It’s really hard to cook with all this going on.”

“How long until it’s time to eat?” Landon asks.

“Long enough for us to go to my room.”

Well, I’m down for that. “Should I let the birthday boy fuck me?”

Landon’s eyes widen. “What?”

Oh, should I not have said that?

“You should,” Parker says, nodding furiously. “Only if you want to,” they add, turning their attention to Landon.

Parker’s almost pouting, and it makes me laugh. They’ve come a long way—from not being sure if they could handle the two of us together without them to literally pouting in their quest for Landon to agree to fuck me.

“I don’t know what I’m doing really, but I want to,” Landon says, his cock jerking against my ass.

Parker groans. “Okay, yeah, my bedroom, then.”

“You sure, Cotton Candy?” I ask, not willing to risk our relationship over sex. Not now. And truly, not ever.

I want this to be good for Landon, but it’s also important for me to make it good for Parker, and I know Landon feels the same.

“I’m sure. Are you, Lan? We don’t have to do anything you don’t want.”

“What about you, though?” Landon asks, shooting Parker a worried glance.

Parker’s grin turns downright devious. “I’ll be just fine.”

“But I don’t want to leave you out.”

Parker shakes their head. “Trust me. I won’t be left out at all.”
