Chapter 21 Testing #2

There were legends, whispered stories, about dragon alphas mating with their chosen omegas in a half-shifted state.

They would have dragon eyes, thorns, and teeth, sometimes even wings, body of a human but larger, and an even bigger erection.

Ancient dragon folk believed that breeding their mate like that ensured the child would be a strong alpha.

Today, those ideas were considered barbaric, but now and then, I’d heard gossip about a certain kink.

Allegedly, some couples still did have half-shifted sex behind closed doors.

I’d always shifted fully within seconds and never attempted to consciously pause the process. Even if I wanted to try, I wouldn’t know how to do it. But for just a second, in the throes of our climax, I imagined my wings spreading and teeth sharpening… And I felt invincible.

When I could think again, I noticed Lawrie shaking, his hands slipping on the cum-stained wall.

Oh shit. Did I overdo it? I sat back on my haunches bringing him with me, and he slumped in my arms, still impaled to the hilt on my hard cock.

His happy sigh calmed me down. My mate was sated, and all was well.

“I love your cum so much,” he mumbled sleepily.

“I love it when you’re fuck drunk.”

He giggled, his head lolling on my shoulder. “Love that too.”

Smoothing my hands over his torso, I smeared the drops of cum and milk into his skin. When he was bent backward like this, his little belly had a noticeable bulge where my cock was nestled. I pressed on it with my palm, and Lawrie arched his back, the bulge getting even more pronounced.

“Looks so violent,” I said as I caressed his distorted stomach. I knew I couldn’t hurt him but…

“Feels ah-mazing.” His chest lifted on a shuddering breath, his insides squeezing me with an aftershock. “You’ve turned me into such an addict, Ernest.”

“Lucky me.”

I washed him gently with my cock still in him before carrying him to bed and plugging him like I’d promised. Then I sucked his nipples, drinking his milk. He combed his fingers through my hair until his hands went limp, and he fell asleep.

The prototype tests were going well. We had another session planned for tonight, and I was looking into the steering properties and the autopilot mode together with Hamish.

I wanted to see the changes in the trajectories after we’d made the first adjustments to the stabilizer.

Balancing the tail boom would be the next step.

Lawrie was nervous flying the copter with Davidson. He held on to my hand with both of his and slumped with relief when we landed.

“You weren’t this afraid flying with me,” I said once we got off and were able to talk.

“You I trust.”

“Davidson is a great pilot, Lawrie. He wouldn’t put you in danger.”

“I know that. It’s the machines I don’t trust.”

“They do regular check-ups.”

He exhaled loudly. “It’s okay. I just wish I could jump on your back, fly all the way home, and land directly on the balcony.”

“That would be cool as hell, I agree.”

Hamish was already on location, with the drone waiting tied inside the truck. I helped him unload while Lawrie discussed something with Davidson, their laptops open on the small picnic table Hamish had brought.

The sky was overcast, getting darker ever so slowly.

“It’s time,” Hamish called when we had everything set up.

Davidson closed the laptop and walked over to Hamish while I went into the forest to undress.

I left my clothes hanging on a tree branch.

Nobody was looking my way, so I stepped into the clearing before starting to shift.

Shifting among trees was always a huge hassle, and I didn’t want to leave a mess of broken branches and torn-out roots behind me.

I caught Lawrie’s gaze when I stomped into the clearing in dragon form. He looked excited, smiling wide, his gaze roaming over my body. I wanted to wink at him, but then I remembered he’d once told me my attempts at human expressions looked creepy, and I refrained.

Davidson was scrolling down his phone. He threw a glance toward the copter, clenched his jaw, and put his phone into his pocket. Something in his face made me pause.

“What’s going on?” I asked.

“Probably nothing. Harry Burnes visited the hangars this morning. He didn’t get to Longwang, though, since the area was locked. I’m being paranoid. We’re good.”

“Okay.”

The tests went great. The drone responded the way I expected, regaining stability quicker after any disturbance. Many of my attempts didn’t even affect the trajectory, which was excellent.

Lawrie watched me fly around with avid concentration, making me long for another opportunity to share the free air with him. Maybe we could fly a bit at my parents’ place tomorrow night?

After an hour, we were done. Hamish packed the equipment into the truck, and Davidson helped him load the drone while I shifted and got dressed.

When I joined our little group, Lawrie patted my chest. “Very impressive. But I still prefer this version of you.”

Davidson snorted a half-laugh behind us.

Hamish waved goodbye, and we piled into the copter, getting our headsets in order. Lawrie struggled with a buckle on the safety harness but batted me away, giving me an annoyed glare when I tried to help him. Lord, I was overprotective of him, wasn’t I?

The copter lifted, and Lawrie took my hand. I squeezed it, trying to be reassuring. If I trusted anyone up in the air, it was Davidson. Lawrie was safe with us.

As if to contradict me, an off sound came from behind us. The rattling of the smooth rhythm of the rotor was audible even through the headset.

What was that?
