Chapter Thirty-One

Evan

“Rise and shine, or you’re going to be late,” I sang from the doorway between my bathroom and Grace’s room.

Before me was the most beautiful scene. Jett laid in Grace’s cute, ruffly pink, daybed, naked, the pink sheets only partially over him. Grace was curled into him, head on his chest. The fairy lights on the canopy over the bed glowed in the dark room.

He’d stayed the whole night with her. So stinking cute.

Jett’s eyes opened, and they flickered to the alarm clock on her nightstand. “Right, my alarm clock is in my room.”

“Spencer is making breakfast,” I added.

“Fine. I’ll get up.” He kissed Grace’s forehead. “Thanks for an amazing night, Babydoll.”

“I had fun.” She gazed up at him sleepily.

Getting out of bed, Jett went to the door.

“You know you’re naked, right?” I smirked, lounging in the doorway.

He looked down. “Yep. I am.”

Jett picked up his clothes and threw on his briefs and a shirt.

“Can I come in, Peaches?” I asked.

Sitting up on her elbows, she gave me a coy look. “I suppose.”

“Morning, Baby.” Jett kissed me.

“Morning, Hot Stuff. See you at breakfast.” Smirking, I crawled into bed with her right where he’d left.

Jett hurried out of the room to get ready for work. I was going in later today, so I didn’t have to rush.

After all, someone promised me bath time later.

I pulled Grace into me. It smelled good in here–a combo of her peaches and his amber.

And sex.

“Did you have fun?” It felt like they’d had a great time last night, and I loved that for them.

“Yes.”

I stroked her hair. “I’m so happy that you had fun. Your new haircut is cute. I was teasing you last night, you know. You’re allowed to have alone time with him.”

“I know you were. Did you and Wes have fun on your date?” She looked up at me.

“We did.” I’d show her what we got at the home store later.

She made a little noise as she cuddled me, and I felt a longing through the bond. But it wasn’t I want dick needy.

“What do you need, Peaches? I think Wes is still getting ready, do you want him? Spencer’s in the kitchen. I think Jett’s going to take a shower. I could take you there. Or I can cuddle you until someone gets us,” I added, holding her tight.

She thought for a moment. “Wes.”

“Okay.” I picked her up, naked, and walked her straight out of her room.

“Evan.” She squealed and kicked her feet.

I shrugged and walked down the hall. Though with Riley coming home for summer, I should probably remind everyone about our general Living with a Teenager house rules.

“Incoming,” I yelled from Wes’ doorway. I carried her through his sitting room and into his bedroom.

Wes looked over at me as he put his pants on. “Good morning.”

I tossed Grace into his bed. “It’s nearly time for breakfast.”

Giving her another kiss, I went to finish my rounds.

The shower was running in Jett and Brennan’s bathroom, and it seemed like they were both in it. Mmmm.

“I hope you don’t mind that I stayed all night with her,” Jett said softly. “I thought about coming back to bed, but I didn’t want to leave her alone. She was really cuddly. And well, we haven’t actually talked about bringing her to bed regularly.”

Oh? I liked this conversation.

“I’m glad you stayed with her. I don’t mind you bringing her in sometimes,” Brennan replied.

Wow. Brennan had made so much progress going from, Don’t come to bed smelling like Peaches to, Sure, Peaches can come in the bed.

Could I cum in Peaches in the bed?

“I like that idea.” I walked into the bathroom.

Brennan was holding Jett as the water rained down on them.

Jett looked over at me. “You know that I still love you even though I went on a date with her alone, right?”

“I know. I want my mates to date my mate.” And fuck her so hard against the wall it shook. I took off my briefs and climbed in with them.

Jett wrapped his arms around me. “I don’t have time for a shower party. But you’re getting some bathtub time with Grace later.”

“I just need cuddles,” I replied.

“We can do that, Love.” Brennan sandwiched me between him and Jett.

Ahh, that was the stuff.

“I actually came to remind you that breakfast is almost ready. Spencer’s cooking,” I added. Which was something he’d been doing more lately.

His cooking was delicious, so I didn’t mind.

“Then we should get dressed so we can go eat what he made us. See you down there.” Brennan gave me a kiss.

Getting out, I grabbed a towel and went up to my room and threw on some clothes.

When I came downstairs, Grace, in one of Wes’ shirts, was sitting on his lap at the kitchen table as she drank coffee from one of the tiny cups that Spencer always put her coffee in.

Did he know she’d just have more after he left? Probably.

I grabbed some coffee and sat down. Spencer started putting food on the table.

“Fuck, you made crepes.” I wiggled my shoulders happily.

“Yes.” Spencer kissed Grace and went to get something else.

Jett and Brennan came into the kitchen dressed for work.

“Crepes? Thanks, Spencer.” Brennan grabbed him and Jett coffee.

We all sat down for breakfast.

“Who’s coming to help me get the rest of the stuff from Riley’s room today?” I asked. She had her last final exam today and the dance tonight, but we were going to get most of what’s left so that when we check her out tomorrow morning there were just a couple of things.

“I’ll leave work early if you need my truck,” Wes replied. “Or we can take Peaches’ truck.”

Grace made a face. “I actually have to go in for a staff meeting this afternoon.”

“Oh, right.” Spencer nodded. “How about if I get a ride with Wes, then you can drive me home?” He looked to Wes.

“Works for me.” Wes shrugged and stuffed some crepe into his mouth.

“That sounds perfect.” Grace leaned over from her spot on Wes’ lap and gave Spencer a kiss.

“I can if you need me to, but there’s not really that much left,” Brennan replied.

We had gotten the bulk of it over the weekend.

“I have work,” Jett sighed. “Sorry.”

“It’s fine, I know we’ve really disrupted your work schedule,” I assured. “We don’t need to owe Cam and Lexi more than we do already.”

“We’re still on for our date?” Wes asked Grace and me.

Grace nodded. “Yes.”

“Can’t wait.” We were going to take the paddle boats at the lake under the bridge since I’d never been and Grace liked it, then out to dinner. I’d done a little research, and if we got a swan one, I should be able to fuck her without anyone knowing as long as she wore a dress.

“On Saturday morning I want to take Riley and Grace to the gym.” Jett took a sip of coffee. “Also, Peaches, we should have more motorcycle practice.”

“We can do that.” She nodded.

“I can practice with you, as well. Oh, on Saturday afternoon I’m taking Grace and Riley to tea at the Everydoll Boutique.” Spencer looked at Grace. “Do you have a dress in mind for our party? I can make an appointment at Andre’s.”

“Riley wants to look at dresses with me, but if we don’t find anything, can we go to Andre’s shop?” She ate another piece of crepe with strawberries, powdered sugar, and whipped cream.

He nodded. “Of course.”

“At some point, we should talk about your dress for our wedding,” I told her. “If you want someone to make the dress Wes drew, we should start on that.”

Grace giggled. “I don’t know. Maybe I’ll get some ideas when Riley and I are looking.”

“Great.”

Wes nodded. “I love the idea of you doing that.”

Jett looked up. “My grandmother has opinions about whatever date you choose for your wedding next year.”

She usually did. But I didn’t mind.

“Like choosing an auspicious day?” Grace asked.

He nodded. “Yep.”

“I love it.” Grace took another sip of coffee.

“Having a set date would be good so I can make sure the renovations are finished,” Brennan agreed. His crepes just had butter and a little jam on them. “Everything seems to be going well.”

We hadn’t heard from Brennan’s family since his brother crashed our dinner party with the sister pack.

“Riley’s coming home for the summer. Most of her activities are here.

Boxing camp. Skate smash camp. Tennis camp.

Her internship with Grace. I think she’s going for one week with Grandma and a long weekend or two with Sonja and Sasha and that’s it.

So please make sure when you do the walk of shame down the hall you’re clothed appropriately. ” I grinned at Jett.

Jett rolled his eyes. “Noted. Though I was mostly dressed. Is it really the walk of shame when you live here?”

We finished breakfast, and Grace and I cleaned up so everyone else could get to work.

“Come on, let me show you something.” I took Grace’s hand and opened the door in the kitchen that led to the basement.

“Where are we going?” She blinked as I led her past the laundry room, gym, and the areas we used for storage.

“Wes and I were fixing this up for you last night.” I led her into a little suite that smelled of paint.

“This is the nest that came with the house. We don’t use it much, because we usually go to the cabin.

But, like the doctor and Mrs. Beekman said, you need a heat plan.

Given it might be hard to predict them, and we might not have time to fly to Greece, we have this. ”

The walls were a very pale mauve. It was basically a large bedroom with a sitting area, a small anteroom with another sitting area and kitchenette, and a bathroom.

“We replaced the mattress. Though we just got new covers for the couches and chairs. We bought all the furniture when we moved in here and, like I said, we barely use this, but we can change it.” I looked down. “We can replace the carpet or put in wood floors. The chaise is new.”

Grace looked around. There was a very large, low bed, a giant couch, and a chaise. We’d put some pretty bedding in it. There were no windows, but there was a lot of nice mood lighting, and a separate air filtration system.

“We also picked out the art on the walls. But again, we can change everything. I was just trying to be prepared,” I told her. Also, I’d brought it up twice, once in the hospital, once since, and she sort of ignored it.

“I like it. But am I really going to go into heat?” She made a face and flopped down on the bed.

“Possibly. Gammas can go into heat.” Though her body might decide during the reset not to, which was fine. The point wasn’t for her to go into heat. It was for her body to go into heat correctly if she ever did. Her not going into heat didn’t necessarily mean she couldn’t have children, either.

I laid down with her and curled her to me. “We need to actually come up with a heat plan. At the very least, who do you want in here with you?”

“Everyone, of course.” She nodded, then bit her lower lip. “I can do that, right?”

“Yes, but you’ll probably want to talk to Jett, Bren, and Spence.

Not sure what everyone’s comfort level is.

However, we can always trade off. Here, let me show you the rest.” I showed her the anteroom and the bathroom.

Someone could always sleep in the anteroom or have a snack while other people fucked her.

“I like it. Thank you.”

“You are so welcome.” I kissed her. “Now, I have other rooms to show you.” I led her back to the first floor, but instead of taking her upstairs, I took her past Riley’s room.

I opened the door. It was a pretty room with lots of windows that looked into the backyard. It was near the downstairs bathroom we hardly ever used.

“This is what they call the omega room, it’s a living room where the omega might have her friends over for tea and gossip. We never use it.” Which was why there was literally nothing in here other than a couple of boxes.

She nodded. “That’s what the room we had book club in felt like.”

“This would be an option for the creepy doll room and or a guest room for people not old enough to stay in the guest house,” I suggested. “Let me show you the other one.”

I led her to another room off the main living room. While it had a window, it also had wood paneling and lots of shelves.

“The alpha study for cigars and brandy?” she laughed.

“Exactly. We were going to put a pool table in here but never did.”

She looked around. “This could be a nice guest room. I love all the shelves. Right, we’re going to need a place for Tru and Mercy to stay.”

“Yep. We should buy shit for it before they come.” Though we had a little time–and they wouldn’t be here at the same time.

I put my arm around her. “So, about that bath?”

She grinned, her scent flaring. “I thought you’d never ask.”
