Chapter 6
Eight arms. Eight fucking tentacle arms, Kai thought, completely enthralled by the color of them, shifting sort of, but dark, blue and purple with the suckers a lighter hue. Suckers. I wonder what he can do with them. I should ask. I should—
Kai tore his eyes off Fian’s unusual lower half and caught him sucking on his bottom lip. Tall and good-looking he was, and he knew how to talk, at least in Kai’s dreams, but with a pang, Kai saw the cuteness in the gesture, just a touch of insecurity that was endearing.
Fian wiped it off his face fast. “You like them.”
“Huh?”
A tentacle wrapped around Kai’s left forearm. “These. You like them.”
Kai bobbed his head. “You’d have to be an idiot not to. That’s probably why I dreamed of these, because I am not a fucking idiot like Nick tells me all the fucking time. Oh this—”
The tentacles wrapped around Kai suddenly, the suckers harsh almost but not painful or uncomfortable, just strange in their insistence, in the way the suckers snagged on Kai’s skin.
The strong arms pulled Kai in like a hooked fish, and before he knew what was what, Fian’s other arms—the human ones—came around Kai too, and Fian was close, so close.
In the very next moment, he was kissing Kai, softly but with urgency.
Kai didn’t know what to make of it. He tastes of salt. Didn’t know you could dream the taste of someone’s lips.
He let Fian in, opening to the exploring tongue. Fian’s tentacles seemed to be everywhere, creating a whole-body sensation unlike anything else, like a massage but better.
When one of them tickled just below his ribs, Kai jerked back, a host of bubbles rising from his mouth.
Fian looked at him dazed, and the tentacles stilled, shifting from exploration to holding tight.
“What is it? Did I do something wrong?” Fian asked, looking crestfallen.
Kai licked his lips, enjoying how sensitive they were from being kissed so eagerly.
“I’m ticklish I guess.” Kai reached for the spot at the side of his chest where the tentacle held him. Another one was wrapped around his elbow.
Fian breathed out bubbles. “Oh! Yes, that’s a human thing.
” He nodded, looked off to the side, and mumbled to himself.
“I’ll have to get used to that with my landbride.
” He turned back to Kai, leaned forward until their lips were almost pressed close again.
“Does it ever go away? The ticklish thing?”
For real, this is the weirdest dream ever, bar none. “I’m not sure, but I don’t think so.”
Kai felt the suckers in that spot flexing and releasing—sucking?
Fian’s human-shaped hands were warm against Kai’s back, holding him steady.
“I see. Kai, I have a favor to ask. I know it’s early to ask for favors—I have given you nothing, and you already gave me the rosehip jam—but it would mean a lot. ”
Kai chuckled. “Is this where the dream turns strange? Sure, go ahead and ask.”
Fian’s eyebrows wrinkled. When he spoke, Kai felt the vibration of the water between them against his skin.
“Could you maybe not mention the tickling to my brother? He gave me that nickname once—he’s older and thinks he knows everything. Perhaps if you can tell him how much you like my tentacles and how they feel? Don’t mention the tickling at all. In fact, don’t say the word in front of him.”
This is a dream. It’s best to just go with it. “Sure,” Kai said. “But, you know, I don’t really know how your tentacles feel yet. I’m still wearing pants after all.”
The soft insecurity washed off Fian’s face like a stick drawing on the beach when the tide lapped over it. “That’s not an issue.” He licked his lips. “And I should have asked before, but can I keep kissing you? All of you tastes so good, but your mouth is…”
“Sure,” Kai said, reached for the tentacle-man’s head, and drew him into a kiss.
The sensation was thrilling, the surprise in the other, then giving in, then taking over. It didn’t stop there either. Fian was a dream specter of his word.
The tentacles soon were everywhere, exploring, but now they focused on the waistband of Kai’s pants, running along it and slipping under before pulling the waterlogged fabric off and away without haste, going so slow that Kai would have wiggled his way out of them if he could have just to speed the process along.
He was being held though, hands and suckers fixing him in place so that he was, quite willingly, at Fian’s mercy.
When Fian pulled the pants away for good, a shiver ran through Kai. Fian nipped Kai’s bottom lip as if he’d felt it too. Tentacles wound around Kai’s ankles, up his calves and past his knees, and as they continued onward, Kai gasped.
“Are you all right?” Fian asked, running a tentacle up Kai’s shoulder where it stroked the side of his neck as if to calm his racing pulse.
“I’m fine.”
Fian leaned his forehead against Kai’s. “That’s good. I’m glad. I’m so glad I met you. I’ll take care of you, I promise you that.” His hand dipped from the small of Kai’s back to his butt, making Kai gasp. Fian frowned. “You don’t want me to touch you there?”
Kai rushed to shake his head. “I do. There’s just a lot of you and—”
A tentacle had reached up between Kai’s legs and brushed against his balls, maybe accidentally. A jolt ran through him. Had he been anywhere but in a strange underwater dream, Kai would have fallen backwards, would have totally given himself to feeling.
It’s been so long, too fucking long since someone took the time to draw it out and make me feel good, make me really feel good.
“You’re sensitive,” Fian said. His voice still sounded like comfort, but there was a frisson there as well that told Kai the tentacle man wasn’t completely unaffected by what was happening either.
“Sorry.”
Fian cupped Kai’s cheek with a tentacle, the tip of it caressing the corner of his mouth. His hand, further down, had started kneading Kai’s butt, and the tentacles were just waiting tantalizingly close to where Kai wanted to be touched, to where he wanted to be filled.
“No, sensitive is good. Listen, I want to be inside you, and I want to feel you cum. Is that okay? Are you okay with bottoming, as the humans say?”
Kai giggled until he was laughing, bubbles rising in front of his face and making it difficult to see Fian. Just like before, Fian kept holding him, hands and suckers offering the kind of steady support that Kai hadn’t been able to wish for because he’d not known it existed.
“Do I like bottoming? Fuck me. What is this, my brain trying to get me to break out of my comfort zone? I’ve always liked taking cock.
” He waved a hand in front of his face to make the bubbles go away, to get a clearer view of Fian whose skin seemed to have taken on a bluish hue, similar to his tentacle half but much lighter.
“Kai, you’re not really dreaming. I mean, you are, but I am real and you are real, and what we’re doing is real as well.”
Kai nodded. “Yeah, you said. And you can fill me up good. Hmm. You can tell me that’s what you want to do to me, I like that, and—”
Kai’s thoughts almost slipped away from him and went to what it had been like with Nick, but Fian didn’t let him. His arms—all of them—moved, coiling around Kai and pulling him against Fian’s chest.
Water rushed around them, but then there was Fian’s hand at the back of Kai’s head, pressing him close to a smooth chest. Heartbeat. I can hear his heart beating.
“Stay with me. You were about to wake yourself up there. Don’t do that, not yet.”
Kai listened, enjoying the sound. He could imagine falling asleep like this, back in the waking world. Except neither Fian nor his broad chest nor his dexterous tentacles existed in the waking world.
Kai sighed. “I’m here. Why is it so hard to get laid, even in my dreams?”
“Sorry. I don’t mean to make it hard. Oh!
Is that a pun? In which case, yes, please, make it hard.
” The tentacles were back, and while Fian was stroking the back of Kai’s head, one reached up Kai’s leg and explored his crack, zeroing in on his hole.
Kai heard the exact moment Fian’s heartbeat picked up.
“Yes.”
Fian’s fingers scraped along Kai’s scalp gently, and this time he didn’t hesitate. The tentacle pushed onward and in.
Kai shivered. This was nice and easy, nothing like taking a cock without preparation.
It was due to the shape of the appendage, the suckers it was studded with making Kai clench and unclench as he tried to adjust to what he couldn’t have imagined, a tingling sensation that built so fast inside him and made his cock fill and press against Fian.
“Oh, fuck,” Fian mumbled.
“Yeah, you are.”
But Fian chuckled, and the tentacle inside of Kai curled, pressing against Kai’s channel and making him gasp and squirm.
“Not yet. I…I think I’ll save that for later.” Two more tentacles coiled upward on either of Kai’s legs, and from there, went directly for his cock. “I can make you cum like this. You’re like a first-time diver touching an electric eel. It won’t take much, not much at all.”
Kai was about to complain—he used to be able to last because he wasn’t just some boring person jerking off in between gaming sessions. But he never got the chance. Inside him, that tentacle did something. Kai wasn’t sure what, but he felt filled and stretched at the same time.
Meanwhile, there were suckers taking care of his cock and balls with what he thought was the tip of a tentacle torturing his hole.
Kai would have screamed, but the moment his head lolled back, mouth ajar, Fian was there, sealing his mouth with a kiss.
The tentacle man’s dominance was absolute. Even if Kai had wanted to fight it, there was no way. Suckers where everywhere, around his wrists, tasting the rhythm of his pulse and teasing that ticklish spot, while inside of him, the pressure against his prostate ebbed and flowed, ebbed and flowed.
When he came, Kai was almost glad that he was completely suspended, his voice smothered, water washing away his cum though it seemed like the tentacles were gathering as if they wanted to catch it.
Fian sighed into Kai’s mouth, pulled back slightly, and licked Kai’s lips as if there was something special about them.
Kai blinked, but it looked as if they’d sunk deeper in the water. It was darker here. Fian was there in outlines, powerful and inescapable.
“That was easy,” he said, voice rough.
“Sexy merman,” Kai mumbled, his head all foggy with the overstimulation, with the fullness.
Fian was making no move to pull out or release the tentacle hold on Kai’s spent cock, and Kai didn’t have the energy to say anything about it.
If this had really been the ocean and not a dream, he’d have been floating like an unmoored boat.
“I’m really not a merman. They have tails, but you have permission to call me that. Now rest. I can tell when a dreamer is tired, and you haven’t had a good night’s sleep in a long time. It’s probably the magic, but I’m keeping you safe right now, so just rest.”
Kai was okay with the rest part of that.
He drifted back against Fian’s chest, enjoying the muted blue-black light around him and the way the dream ocean rocked him to sleep.
He never even questioned the strangeness of falling asleep in a dream.
All he did was listen to that heartbeat, slow and steady. Badum. Badum.
