Chapter 12 Liam

Give me my divorce, Liam.

Roxy’s skin glittered with iridescent flashes of purple, green, blue, gold. Her pupils were huge and black. Flames danced in the surrounding irises. When she opened her mouth, a forked tongue snaked out.

You’re still my wife, I wanted to cry out. You’re mine forever.

But every time I opened my mouth, sand filled my throat. Shards of glass streamed into my voice box.

Roxy’s snake-tongue whipped at my naked chest, dripped down my abs and wrapped around my cock. Long, cold tendrils of pleasure spread through my veins like a thin, black ink.

I want my divorce…

* * *

My eyes flew open. An unfamiliar popcorn ceiling greeted me. My throat burned with thirst.

Also, I was hard. Someone was messing with me down there, pulling at the waistband of my boxers. “What…”

I raised my head just in time to watch Roxy crouched between my legs, guiding my erection towards her dark, open mouth.

My shock chased the last dregs of sleep from me. Fully awake now, I propped my head up on my elbow so I could keep watching. “I told you, I’m giving you your divorce.”

“I know. It just might be a while until I can entice another man to come home with me,” she said, grinning as her fingers circled my shaft. She pumped once, making my legs jerk. “I thought I’d take advantage of the moment.”

“Forget the moment. You’re taking advantage of me,” I insisted. “Not that I mind.”

Roxy dragged her tongue down the underside of my shaft, and I groaned. From the base, she licked her way back up to the tip. Then, she fed me through her lips, and her head came down, enveloping my length in the warmth of her mouth.

My back muscles tensed, then relaxed. I sank into the sensation of her, comforting as warm honey.

“Show me those pretty eyes, girl,” I said, my stomach clenching.

Roxy’s eyes rose. With her plush lips wrapped around my cock, it was the most beautiful sight I’d seen in a long time. A wave of clenching lust passed through my cock, leaving it even harder.

“That’s it,” I decided, shifting my hips to pull my wet dick from her mouth. “Get over here.”

I pulled Roxy up and rolled her onto her back, swinging my body on top of hers. Her hair fanned out across the pillow, making her look soft and angelic in the morning light.

Too much, I thought, my mouth going dry.

I grabbed her hip and flipped her onto her stomach, making her gasp in surprise. She was wearing an oversized tee shirt, a thong, and nothing else. I tugged the G-string down and slipped my hand between her legs. When I felt how wet she was, my cock gave an eager twitch.

“This has to be quick,” I said, holding her ass in my hands as I reared up behind her.

“Then hurry up and get started,” Roxy said. Her spine arched like a cat’s, and her pussy folded open, ripe as a juicy peach.

I pushed into her, hissing as I felt the gripping lips of her pussy tugging on my cock, inviting me deeper. Roxy dug her hands into the mattress, pushing back at me. I could feel every inch of her, inside and out, pressing as close to my body as another body could get.

I tilted my head back towards the ceiling and started thrusting. Roxy’s ass bounced in my hands, and I released her right hip to deliver a slap that made her squeal and kick her legs.

“You’re getting your divorce, but you’ll still remember me,” I promised, folding my upper body down towards her. Then, I slid my hand under her belly and under her tee shirt to cup her breast. I delivered my next thrust deeper, harder than the one before. “Nobody gives you dick like this. Say it.”

Roxy growled in defiance. A cold shudder ripped through my body at the same time. I gave her another punishing stroke of my cock and pinched her nipple.

“I can’t hear you,” I murmured into her ear.

With my other hand, I grabbed her hair and pulled her hair back. She moaned, just like I knew she would, as her pussy quivered on my cock.

“Nobody fucks me like you, Liam,” she gasped in a hoarse voice. “Your dick is amazing—”

She screamed as I picked up speed, hammering her into the bed. If it was the last thing I ever did, I’d make sure she’d never forget the feeling of being split open by me. I hoped it made every man after me a disappointment.

“That’s right, baby,” I whispered, still gripping her hair, still rolling her hard nipple between my fingers. “You’re going to miss this. This is how a real man feels, Roxy.”

Roxy growled again, channeling all of her frustration into her voice. She tried crawling away, and I had to move both of my hands to her hips again, dragging her ass back to me.

“Almost there,” I said.

But I wouldn’t leave her unsatisfied. I took it as my final duty as a husband.

The moment I felt the first tingle in my balls, I slid my hand down around Roxy’s hip, dipping it between her thighs towards her pussy.

As I fucked her, my fingers stroked her clit, guiding her towards the same peak I was aiming for.

Roxy’s cries turned low and gutteral, like a suffering animal. “Liam,” she groaned. “Fuck me, Liam.”

“Goddamn, Roxy—”

I made sure she came first, but I was barely clinging on. The moment I felt her body tense against my chest, I gave myself permission to let go.

I filled her and pulled out once my balls were spent.

“You really meant it when you said it had to be quick,” Roxy said, looking at me over her shoulder.

I let my gaze slide down her body, taking in every dip and curve. When I got to her pussy, I had to steel myself from diving in mouth-first. If I did, I’d probably never leave the bed at all.

I turned my attention back to her face. She regarded me with her wide, green eyes. Her hair was mussed from me grabbing it, and the stretched collar of her oversized tee was slipping down over one shoulder.

This is my wife, I thought, a little sadly. This was my wife…

“Thanks for the sex. And the marriage, however short it was,” I said.

“You’re leaving?” Roxy said. She swung her legs over the side of the bed and shoved her feet through a pair of shorts. “Well, thanks for spending the night to make sure I was safe. I really mean it.”

After I got dressed, she walked me to the front door. It was decent of her, I had to admit.

“One more kiss for the road?” Roxy said.

I looked down at her, almost considering it. But again, I knew that if I did…

“It’s not a good idea,” I said. “I should just go.”

“Okay. Then…have a good day, Liam.”

“You too, Roxy.”

* * *

Family dinner at Da's was the one obligation I couldn't dodge.

Every Sunday at six o'clock sharp, the whole clan crowded around my father's absurdly long dining table like something out of a mob movie parody.

Except it was real. And I'd grown up underneath that chandelier learning which uncle to avoid and which cousin might slip a knife into your ribs over a bad business deal.

Friends were always welcome, which was why I called Nick and Matteo right after leaving Roxy's that morning. Matteo couldn't make it, but Nick promised to be there with Sabrina.

“Good. I could use a woman's perspective,” I told him.

Normally, I showed up a little late, but I made sure to get there early so I could catch Nick and Sabrina before they walked in. My timing was perfect, because they were just pulling up when I got out of my car.

Nick exited first and jogged around the front of his sedan to open the passenger side door, offering his hand to the woman sitting inside.

Sabrina slid out, looking prim and polished in a yellow dress and white sandals, her dark hair tied back with a ribbon that matched her dress.

It was hard to believe that just a few months ago, she was working at the Garter Lounge, the best strip club in town.

But that was a story for another time.

“Hey, Nick. Sabrina.” I nodded towards the gazebo at the far edge of the front lawn. There were two wrought iron benches under the white roof, which faced each other. I took the one closest to the trees with my back facing the house.

"Have you told your family that Roxy’s in town?" Nick asked as he took the opposite bench beside Sabrina.

I sighed and leaned forward with my elbows on my knees, studying the wooden slats making up the gazebo platform. "I'm about to. I’ll also have to tell them that we’re getting divorced."

"Giving in so soon? That's not the Liam Murphy I know," Nick said with a chuckle.

"Well, you don't know Roxy. I’m giving her what she wants. Makes life easier."

Nick smirked and shook his head.

“What?” I said.

"You two are never getting divorced."

I absorbed his words like a punch to the jaw. "I take my word seriously, even if she doesn’t. I promised her a divorce, and that’s what she’s getting."

"You guys are just torturing yourselves. You’ll be snapping back together like two strong magnets. Mark my words."

My phone started ringing. I checked the caller I.D as it flashed on my screen. "Speak of the devil," I muttered before silencing the call.

"Look," I continued. "I know how it seems, but I was doing all right before she came back. I didn’t expect her to see her that night at the Blue Ox, and it shook me up. But I learned to survive before. I can do it again."

"What happened with what's-her-name. Hayley?" Sabrina chimed in.

I felt my cheeks flaring and coughed into my fist to hide my discomfort. "Oh, that ended months ago. And we were only messing around."

“I guess it’s a good thing that it fizzled out before Roxy came back into the picture,” Sabrina said. “Even though Roxy doesn’t seem interested.”

"I get she wants a divorce. I just don't understand why she won't give the marriage one more chance,” I said, running my hands over my face.

“You can’t really control what she wants,” Nick said. “You can only choose to give her what she wants, or not.”

“Yeah. I know. I’ve already made my decision. I’m just worried it’ll blow up in my face,” I said.

“If it does, that’s why you have family to lean on,” Nick said.

“And friends,” Sabrina added with a gentle smile.

They exchanged a look that I recognized. In that moment, I knew Nick was feeling the same static tingle that erupted under my skin whenever I laid eyes on Roxy.
