Chapter 24 #2

His hand slid around to my front, his fingers finding that perfect spot as he continued to thrust into me.

The combination was too much. I shattered, crying out as pleasure washed through me in waves.

The light around us flared so brightly it was almost blinding, pushing the darkness back several feet.

Gabriel groaned, his rhythm faltering as he reached his own climax, his hands gripping my hips with bruising intensity.

As the waves of pleasure subsided, I felt Crispin’s hands guiding me to my knees.

His eyes were dark with need as he positioned himself before me.

I took him in my mouth, my tongue swirling around him as Gabriel’s hands continued to caress my back.

Sebastian moved to kneel beside me, his hand finding mine and intertwining our fingers.

The connection between us all remained strong, our combined magic creating a protective dome of light that the darkness couldn’t penetrate.

“That’s it,” Crispin groaned, his fingers tangling in my hair as I worked him with my mouth.

His cool moonlight magic flowed through me, mixing with Gabriel’s warmth and Sebastian’s fierce energy.

I felt all of them flowing through me as I took Crispin deeper, my tongue tracing patterns along his length.

I reached out, wondering where Mistral was, and my other hand found him.

He had been focusing on weaving all of our magic together.

“Gods, Eva,” Crispin gasped, his fingers tightening in my hair. His cool moonlight pulsed through our connection, making me shiver with pleasure.

I felt Sebastian moving behind me, his hands settling on my hips with possessive intent.

I nodded, unable to speak with my mouth full of Crispin. Sebastian’s hands slid down to my thighs, spreading them wider as Gabriel moved to my side, his warm hand caressing my back.

When Sebastian entered me in one smooth thrust, I moaned around Crispin, the vibration making him gasp.

The sensation of being filled both ways sent sparks of pleasure racing through my body.

Sebastian’s hands gripped my hips as he established a rhythm, each thrust pushing me forward onto Crispin.

I felt them both growing closer to the edge, their power building within me like a tidal wave.

Gabriel’s hand caressed my back, his warmth spreading through me as Mistral moved closer, his hand coming to rest on my shoulder. “Let it flow where it wishes,” he whispered. “Don’t fight it.”

I surrendered to the feeling, letting their combined magic course through me like electricity then around me to push back the darkness.

Sebastian’s thrusts grew more urgent, his fingers digging into my hips as his breathing quickened.

Crispin’s hands tightened in my hair, his hips moving in rhythm with Sebastian’s.

“Eva,” Sebastian groaned, his voice strained with the effort of holding back. “I can’t—“

“Let go,” I managed to whisper around Crispin.

The moment they both reached their climax, the power surged through our connection, brighter than before. The light pulsed outward, pushing the darkness back even further. I gasped as Crispin pulled away, his hands gentle as he helped me to my feet.

But we weren’t done yet. I turned to Mistral, whose gray eyes were dark with desire and something deeper—a hunger that matched my own. The golden thread connecting us pulsed with an intensity that made my breath catch.

“Your turn,” I whispered, moving toward him with purpose.

Mistral’s eyes widened slightly, but he didn’t back away. Instead, he reached for me, his cool hands sliding around my waist as I pressed against him.

“I need you,” I said, rising on my toes to kiss him.

His mouth met mine with an urgency that surprised me, his tongue sliding against mine as his hands gripped my hips.

The others moved around us, their hands caressing my back, my shoulders, my arms—maintaining the connection that kept the darkness at bay.

But it was Mistral’s power I needed now—the wild, earthy magic of the Bogs that could give our light structure and strength.

I broke our kiss, my hands sliding down his chest to the fastening of his trousers. His breath caught as my fingers worked the clasp, and I felt the others watching, their energy flowing into me as I guided Mistral backward until his legs hit something solid—a fallen log, soft and loamy.

“Eva,” Mistral whispered, his voice rough with need as I pushed his trousers down his hips. “Are you certain?”

“More certain than I’ve ever been about anything,” I replied, my eyes locked with his.

I climbed onto him, straddling his lap as his hands settled on my waist. The first touch of him at my entrance made me nearly collapse, but I managed to lower myself slowly, taking him inside me inch by inch.

Mistral’s hands tightened on my hips as I began to move, rising and falling with deliberate slowness.

His eyes never left mine, the silver depths darkening with each movement.

“Let me in,” I whispered, placing my palms against his chest. “All the way in.”

I felt him open to me—not just physically, but magically. The wild goblin magic that lived in his blood surged toward me like a river breaking through a dam. It was earthy and raw, primal in a way that made my skin tingle with power.

The darkness pressed closer, sensing our vulnerability, but I wasn’t afraid. I leaned forward, capturing Mistral’s mouth with mine as I moved faster, taking him deeper. His hands slid up my back, pulling me closer as he thrust upward to meet me.

The magic between us built, spiraling higher with each thrust, each connection. I could feel it in my blood, in my bones—the wild, compressed power of the Bogs flowing through me like lightning through a storm cloud.

“Don’t hold back,” I gasped against his mouth. “Give me everything.”

Mistral’s eyes flashed with something ancient and fierce. His hands gripped my hips harder as he surged upward, driving deeper into me. The wild magic erupted from him in a torrent, crashing into my own power.

I threw my head back and cried out. Our combined magic exploded outward in a brilliant flash of light—not just the golden warmth of our bond, but something deeper, more ancient. The wild goblin magic wove itself through my celestial power, creating something new—something balanced and whole.

The darkness recoiled violently, shrieking as if in pain.

But I didn’t stop. I couldn’t stop. My movements grew more urgent as Mistral’s power flooded through me.

It wasn’t just the physical connection that bound us now—it was something deeper, something ancient that had been waiting in my blood for centuries.

“I can feel it,” I gasped, panting as I slumped forward over Mistral. “The darkness.”

Mistral’s eyes widened with understanding. His hands moved to cradle my face, thumbs brushing my cheeks as he gazed up at me with wonder.

“You were never meant to destroy it,” he whispered, his voice rough with realization. “You were meant to balance it.”

The darkness that had recoiled now hesitated, swirling around the edges of our light. Not attacking, not retreating—waiting.

I nodded, tears spilling down my cheeks as the truth settled into my bones. This was why my ancestors had created the Realm Breaker. Not to sever pathways, but to restore the balance between light and dark that had been broken when too much magic flooded the realms.

“I understand now. I exist because it exists. When my power grew, it grew too.”

The waiting darkness around us started to retreat, and soon we could see the sun.

The guys helped me to my feet and we looked around for our clothes.

Fortunately I was a little faster than Gabriel and Crispin, who were missing a shirt, and pants.

All I was missing were my shoes when the darkness finally parted, revealing Varian, several more fairies, Charla, Lucas, Penelope, and two gargoyles, all holding vortices much smaller than the one I had absorbed.

Their bright green light turned murky as the last wisps of darkness were absorbed.

All I could do was shake my head when I noticed that Isadora had managed to come along for the ride. She stood next to Penelope, covetous eyes on the devil’s vortex—which we would most certainly be taking away from her.

Harry sat on the ground surrounded by werewolves in both human and wolf form. His head was buried in his palms. He was probably still dealing with whatever the darkness had shown him, but he seemed otherwise unharmed.

Braxton started toward us, but he hesitated as Charla and Varian came forward instead.

“Well done,” Charla beamed, holding her vortex at arm’s length, her impressive white wings shading her from the noonday sun. Her eyes snagged on Crispin’s lack of pants, but she quickly regained her composure. “We would have never been able to contain it all if you hadn’t broken it apart.”

I looked from her to Varian, uneasy with so many vortices around. “You’ve been hiding all of these this whole time?”

He smirked. “Did you doubt I would re-double my efforts after my first failure? Just count your blessings that you proved more useful with your magic intact.”

I was pretty sure my forced smile was just a baring of teeth. His vortices had saved Harry, so I wouldn’t complain for now, but I couldn’t wait to boot Varian back to the fairy realm in hopes that he would stay there. Since that had been his aim all along, hopefully he would.

Charla held up her vortex. “Now the question is, what to do with these now that they’re filled with darkness. It has to go somewhere.”

I looked back at the guys, my eyes ultimately settling on Mistral, who nodded.

I turned back to Charla. “I think I have an idea.”

Varian scowled, but didn’t argue. The scowl lifted my spirits. I had learned a little more than I had bargained for, but at least I got to piss off Varian one more time in the process, because he would not be keeping any of the vortices if I had my way.
