Chapter 51
CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE
FLYNN
Emotions have shifted. I can feel it and I know they can too.
The dates were more than I ever envisioned they could be. One on one time with each member of my pack, getting to know them and for them to know the real me. Not the broken omega they rescued.
But there’s still a dark cloud looming over me.
My heat.
They’ve agreed to help me through it, and they won’t mark me.
But the closer I get to them, the more I wonder if that’s truly what I want. For them not to mark me. I made that decision when they were still so new to me, before we had the chance to get to know each other. At that time, they were just like any other alphas in my head, but I was wrong. They’re loving and caring and more than I could ever imagine.
I’ve been busy, getting my nest ready after Sasha helped me shop for all the items I needed and wanted. She spoiled me, but deep down, I know the guys had their part in it, too. It’s refreshing to be pampered. It also doesn’t hurt that the fates gave me possibly the hottest packmates imaginable.
I step out into the hallway, slowly making my way toward the kitchen when I overhear Levi’s and Stone’s deep, whispered voices. When I hear my name, I freeze in my spot, and turn my ear toward their voices. I slowly step forward, staying out of sight so that I can eavesdrop on them.
“I still can’t believe it, man. Never did I think about having an omega. Sasha was the only person I saw in my future. All that I wanted until Flynn.” My heart breaks at Levi’s words. A small tinge of self doubt seeping in before I shake it off. He has more than enough love for both of us.
My breath hitches at his next words.
“I love him. It’s such a short time, but I can’t imagine not having him in our lives. Not having this pack.”
“I agree. Up until my eyes landed on Sasha’s that day at the fucker’s house, my life was consumed with Brenda. It still kills me that I couldn’t save her. Though I never imagined finding or having an omega, much less a pack.”
“But then Sasha burst in and tore down that wall you built up. She has a way, especially when she’s unhinged and murdery.” I can hear the passion in Levi’s voice as he talks about her, and my heart swells with pride. He loves her and he loves me.
“That she did. I just never thought I’d have a shot with her. But damn if our little omega, my sweet boy, didn’t weave his magic and convince her to actually take the chance we talked about. We lucked out with the two of them. I’ve never known love like I do for them.” The way Stone’s typically strong voice cracks just slightly as he speaks has my hormones going haywire.
They both stop speaking immediately, and I begin to panic.
“Come out, Flynn, we know you’re there,” Levi calls loudly to me.
Fuck, my damn perfume gave me away. I can smell it flooding the hallway. I lower my head and slowly move toward them. I can feel the heat rising in my face at being caught. Memories of when the Carlisle Pack would catch me listening in on them try to flood my brain, but I refuse to let them gain entrance. These two men are not them.
My head’s still down when I finally step into the kitchen. I can’t look them in the face. It’s bad enough they caught me.
“Sweet boy.” Stone’s voice causes my stomach to erupt in butterflies. “Lift your head and look at us. I want to see those bright blues of yours.”
I lift my head, my hair falling into my face. Stone reaches out, brushing the blond tendrils from my eyes, then lets his hand slip around my head, cupping it in his hand. “You smell delicious. Did you like what you overheard us talking about?”
I don’t answer at first, just bite my lower lip as I think about what to say.
“From how heavy his perfume is, I think he does, Stone.” Levi steps up behind me, lowering his mouth to my ear. “I love how turned on it’s making you.” His warm breath dances along my skin, causing my pulse to race and my cock to harden just before he places a kiss on my neck, right over the healed bites left by the Carlisle Pack.
Stone leans down, pressing a soft kiss to my lips before letting his tongue glide along the lower one. “Hmm, blood orange, my favorite. But you didn’t answer my questions, Sweet Boy. Did you like what you overheard us talking about?”
I nod my head as Levi’s hands slip around my waist, dipping underneath the hem of my shirt until his hands are flat on my now sweaty waist. His hands trail just beneath my jeans, teasing and tempting me. I can’t help but whine at their teasing. My response must entice them as they each begin to purr.
“Words, omega, we need words,” Levi whispers hungrily in my ear.
“Yes,” slips across my lips as easily as butter.
Levi licks along the lobe of my ear before he begins sucking on it. At the same time, Stone presses his lips firmer against mine. My mouth opens for him, letting him slip his tongue in as it glides along mine.
“I told the two of you not to pressure him, and what do I walk in on? The fucking two of you all over him,” a pissed off beta screeches at us.
Levi and Stone immediately pull away from me. Both their faces turning a ghostly white and my mind begins to race, turning to self doubt. But then a light bulb goes off. They were just saying how much they loved me. What we were doing was right. I wanted it; they wanted it.
“No,” I blurt, my eyes darting to Sasha. “They weren’t doing anything I didn’t want, Sasha. In fact, they helped further our relationship without even knowing it.” I move toward Sasha, who’s still fuming by the scowl on her face, and take her hands in mine. “I’m okay, Sasha. It felt natural being with the two of them just now. I liked it. They didn’t pressure me.”
“Are you sure?” she asks, concern flickering in her eyes.
“I am.”
“Then you two assholes are off the hook. But remember the deal when his heat comes; I see one tooth and I’m ripping it out with a pair of pliers. Just call me Dentist Ratchet.”
We all burst into laughter, and it feels right. Being able to laugh and joke with each other. It’s what a pack does. What family does.
* * *
The last rays of sunlight stream in through the living room window, casting a golden glow. We’ve been lazy since the scene in the kitchen earlier today, deciding to have a movie day. I’m curled up on the couch between Levi and Stone, while Sasha sits at the other end, her legs draped over Levi’s lap, with one of my hands holding on to it. How we all managed to fit is a mystery to me, but none of us wanted to be separated by much.
A low hum of laughter trickles from the TV, from some random sitcom, but I’m not really watching. My focus is on the soft rise and fall of Stone’s and Levi’s chests, the warmth of their skin against mine, and the quiet intimacy that's wrapped around us like a blanket.
Levi’s fingers absentmindedly trace circles on my thigh while simultaneously doing the same on Sasha’s leg. While my head rests on Stone’s shoulder, I shift my body into Levi’s touch, sighing contentedly. Stone’s hand rests on my shoulder, his thumb brushing slowly back and forth in a motion that's relaxing and sensual at the same time. Sasha sits up and reaches out, her hand threading through Levi’s hair in slow, lazy strokes that makes him purr.
Stone turns his head, brushing against my forehead. "You good, Sweet Boy?"
I nod, my cheeks warm from his term of endearment for me. "Yeah. I am. For the first time in forever, I truly feel good."
Levi leans over toward me next, placing a soft kiss on my shoulder. "You look relaxed. I love that."
“I am,” I say, and it’s the truth.
Sasha leans into Levi, slipping her arm behind him so her fingers can trail lightly across Stone’s. With her other hand, she reaches for mine, lifting it to her lips and pressing a kiss to my knuckles. “You’re glowing, Flynn.”
I smile as my heart flutters. "That’s because I’m with the three of you. I’ve never felt this way about anyone. I’m sure of it."
We stay like that, a tangle of limbs and kisses and quiet affection. Sasha shifts, leaning in closer to Levi and kisses him. Not slow and tender like me, but with force and passion. Then she stands and moves over to Stone and sits down in his lap so that she can see all three of our faces. She gives the same passionate kiss to Stone. My heart races, my cock hardens, and I whimper. I want the same.
“Now, now, Flynn. I haven’t forgotten about you.” She leans over to me, cupping my cheek with one hand, and brushes her lips against mine. Her kiss is soft and full of feeling, and I melt into it.
Levi shifts, angling his body toward mine and kisses softly along my jaw, then takes hold of Sasha’s face, tilting it toward him for another lingering kiss. Stone strokes the hair behind Sasha’s ear before leaning in to kiss her neck.
There’s something unhurried and warm about the way we’re moving around each other—giving our touches freely. Sharing our kisses with no rush. It isn’t about lust, sex or urgency. It’s about us building our connection.
Levi pulls me into his lap, and I rest my head on his shoulder. My eyes drift over to Sasha, being held the same way by Stone, and I smile at the loving ease she’s gazing up at him as she draws little tiny circles on his shirt right over his shoulder.
"Can I ask something?" I murmur, breaking the quiet contentment in the room.
Three pairs of eyes turn to me instantly.
"What is it, baby?" Sasha asks.
I swallow, nervous but sure of what I want to ask. "I want to sleep with all of you tonight. Not—not sex. Just cuddling. I want you all in my nest, I want to fill it with your scents. All of them." I need my nest to smell like our pack, especially for my heat, or I’ll never be comfortable.
Levi’s face softens, and he lifts his hand, brushing my cheek with the back of his fingers. "You sure?"
I nod. "Yeah. I’ve never felt this safe before. I want to hold on to it."
Levi grins and kisses the top of my head. "Then we’re yours. Lead the way."
Sasha smiles, eyes misty. "Let’s go make your nest a proper home."
Together, we untangle ourselves from the couch and make our way to my nest.
And for the first time in my life, I feel completely, wholly, and unshakably loved.
