11. Aurelia
Fuck.
Her lips went straight to my clit, licking and sucking, before I had a chance to force her to do it.
I wouldn’t be able to handle it much longer. As angry as her comment had made me, she was right. With the taste of her blood running through me and warming up my body, combined with being able to watch Dalia and her partner and have her fuck me like she actually knew my body…I was going to come in no time.
I shouldn’t have egged her on. Should have known that the little mouse had something up her sleeve, and all that confidence back in the car wasn’t for nothing.
But for some reason, I still expected her to chicken out in front of the people watching her. That maybe the seriousness of it would turn her off.
But not this little mouse.
Even though I told her she didn’t really have to do it, something had changed between the time we stepped foot into this place and me burying my fangs in her neck.
I wanted her to try her damnedest to pleasure me all while knowing my cries were fake. I wanted her to suck. I wanted her to be the worst possible human in bed.
But, fuck, she is too good at this. It only made me hate her more.
There was no gentleness to her caress after I forced her between my legs. The time when she was massaging my calves and causing an addicting swirling heat in my stomach was long gone. Instead, I was left with a ravenous beast hell-bent on making me embarrass myself in front of all these people.
I was no stranger to public sex. These parties happened as often and whenever bored vampires felt like it. And for those who had been alive for more than a hundred years…Well, let’s just say they had been to things like this far more times than they could ever count.
I saw my time in the house as more of a chore. I showed up, gave them just enough to hang over my head, and got on my way. But I would be a liar if I didn’t admit that these parties excited me in a certain way. Seeing beautiful women get fucked. Hearing their moans and cries of pleasure. All of it had once caused heat to settle in my core.
It was intoxicating to see them lose themselves. Seeing all the hung-up vampires, forced to abide by royal vampire law during the day, finally let go and be introduced to a side of themselves they didn’t know.
I wanted that for myself too.
But the time with Vesper was different. Seeing the way their eyes moved over me with her between my legs had a different type of heat swirling inside me. She was wrong about one thing.
It wasn’t just the others who had almost caused me to come.
It was embarrassment.Vesper was embarrassing me because, for the first time after coming here for years, I didn’t have to fake it. And I liked it.
It was a sensation I had never experienced before. She made me lose myself. Her blood, the way her fingers curled inside me and turned me into putty—all of it broke down the carefully curated walls I built for myself in these scenarios.
I didn’t have to fake my moans as she flattened her tongue against my folds. Didn’t have to add an exaggerated shudder as her teeth teased my clit. Nor did I have to pretend my body was tensing as it neared an orgasm that was coming on way too fast to be from a human.
Fuck, fuck, fuck. I wanted to beg her not to stop, but I wouldn’t degrade myself in such a way.
“Good, little mouse,” I cooed before I could stop myself.
Her hand shot up to cup my breast, her thumb teasing my nipple. I arched into it, needing more of her touch. Then she pinched it hard enough to cause just the slightest prick of pain.
She kept her mouth fastened on my clit as she slipped two fingers inside me again. I was so wet at that point that they fit easily, and each delicious pump caused my wetness to leak onto the couch.
I was a mess. A moaning, writhing mess…but the orgasm teasing my senses caused me not to care. I let the embarrassment mix with my pleasure. Let it heighten what was happening.
And when Vesper’s lips pulled into a smirk and her eyes met mine…I couldn’t hold back.
I came with a barely muted cry, all the while holding Vesper’s gaze.
That’s right. Her eyes seemed to tell me. And you thought I was all talk.
I did. I wanted to get back at her, but she turned this into something else entirely. How was I to go back with her to the palace, have her stand by me day in and day out, and not remember what happened between us?
I opened my mouth to tell her to wipe the look off her face, but there was a commotion out near the entrance. All vampires in the area stiffened, many looking back to the hallway that led to the entrance.
There was fighting. Shoving. The sound of glass shattering. Voices raised. Grunts. Bodies colliding into each other.
My eyes met Fredrick’s as he quickly tried to conceal Dalia.
There’s an uninvited guest.
Then, chaos.
Vampires started to filter out of the room and run out the back, many trying to hide their faces. Crowds passed, none of them daring to peek inside to see what was happening. The risk of being caught by an uninvited guest was too great.
They were not held to the same standards as everyone else here, and if it was a royal who got involved, it was unlikely that we would be able to kill them for what they saw.
I jolted up, nodding to Fredrick. The night’s business had to be cut short, and I would have to find us some other time to talk.Vesper was still between my legs, her eyes carefully watching my reaction.
I fixed my underwear and dress before pulling her up.
“Something’s not right?—”
“Uninvited guest,” I muttered and pushed her along with the crowd. I ignored the temptation to look at the entrance. “All vampires heard it. We are now exposed and have to get out of here before?—”
Vesper dragged me closer and placed her arms over my head, shielding me from any possible view.
Another surprise. Any other guard would be trying to run out and save their own hide, but she somehow thought to try and hide me first.
We were pushed by the crowd of panicking patrons, all of us trying to get out as soon as possible. Bodies slammed into us, vampires and humans alike. Their voices ringing in my ears.
It felt like an eternity before we finally made it out to the gardens at the back of the house. All the staff who had been lingering up front were now waiting at the far end of the garden wall in a single line, as per protocol. All faces shrouded in darkness.
Vesper spotted our driver before I did and steered us toward him.
“Jacket,” Vesper ordered him as soon as we got close enough. He gave her a startled look before slipping off his jacket and handing it to her.
Warmth enveloped me as she placed it over my head and shoulders.
“Princess, the car is waiting,” my driver said and quickly led us out of the mass of people.
It wasn’t until we were safely in the car and driving away that I dared peek at the entrance.
Not one but three vampires were forced to the ground with their hands tied behind their backs.
My dead heart lodged in my throat when I recognized their uniforms.
“Looks like the prince is not so keen on finding his wife in a sex dungeon,” Vesper murmured.
Of course she just had to fucking open her mouth.
“He was kicked out,” I hissed, my eyes darting to hers. Her mouth was still shining with my wetness. When she noticed where my gaze landed, she licked her lips. “A long time ago.”
“How embarrassing,” she said with a sly tone. “Princess Aurelia coming in under three minutes, all thanks to the weak human guard. The prince must really be awful in bed?—”
“Shut it,” I growled. “No one asked you to defame the prince like that.”
She raised a brow at me. “Then what do you call spreading your legs for a human in front of all those people? You think my words changed what they thought of you? You think that one remark all of a sudden made what you were doing in front of them any less insulting than if you fucked me right in front of him?”
Her words caused my mouth to slam shut.
“Don’t try to act all high and mighty, princess,” she said. “Not when that was your intention all along.”
