Rose x

The hug lasted fourty-five seconds.

I know because I was counting every bloody second that passed. And believe me, it passed so freaking slowly. It was like the whole room was spinning but at unbelievably slow pace and the only thing I could concentrate on was counting the seconds. All fourty-five seconds until Alpha Stone finally loosened his grip on me and placed me back on the ground.

He was still breathing hard, but his face looked less stressed and angry. He had managed to calm down slightly but still refused to let go of my body. His large hands still remained around my shoulders, keeping me grounded and unable to move.

I opened my mouth but then quickly snapped it shut when I realised I didn't know what to say. I must have looked like a fish out of water.

"I'm sorry." Alpha Stone whispered. He was a prideful man, i knew that from the moment I met his so his sudden apology made me uncomfortable.

"My wolf was on edge, he needed to touch you ." He added as if that was supposed to explain everything.

I gulped and Alpha Stones eyes lowered and watched the movement. His wolf might not be on edge anymore but I sure was. His eyes held an almost predatory glint and right now i felt like a deer in headlights.

I glanced around the room, trying to breakaway from his hold.

The room was big with an almost rustic look to it. A large wooden four poster bed to the side, wooden panelled ceilings, a fireplace on the wall and a few cushioned chairs in the corner. It looked homely it looked nice.

What caught my eyes however was the large window which overlooked the training fields and you could see the sky darkening into different shades of purple and orange as the sun set and for a second I was just enamoured with the view.

I bet it would be a nice view to wake up to.

"I thought you left," Alpha Stone's voice brought me back from my thoughts and I turned to him. He was already watching me stone faced, "I thought you ran away again."

I didn't like it.

I didn't like the way he looked at me, with a forlorn expression on his face. An expression that suggested his heart was breaking at the thought of me running away. I didn't like the way his dark eyes watched my every movement, the rise and fall of my chest, everytime I blinked, everytime I rolled my dry lips into my mouth.

I didn't like it. It made me uneasy.

"I went shopping with Kate." I replied in answer, although I was a hundred percent sure he already knew that.

Alpha Stone didn't say anything and we went back to the awkward silence that always occured when we were together.

"There's clothes in your cupboard." Alpha Stone stated and I raised my eyebrows.

"I don't have a cupboard."

He watches me as he always does, with his piercing eyes that puts me on edge and the grabs my hand so quickly I don't have time to react.

This is another thing I don't like.

Him touching me. The way he stroked my face or moved the hair from my eyes or how he grabbed my hands out of nowhere. The way he does it so comfortably, like he's being doing it all his life.

He leads me out of his room and we walk down the corridor on the same floor until we reach another door. It was only a few steps away from his and pushing it open he held it open for me to walk in.

Oh my god.

I couldn't help the gasp that escapes my lips. The sight in front of me is so impressive i nearly have to pinch myself to check i'm not dreaming.

We are standing in a large bedroom, similar size to Alpha Stone rooms. It painted a light pastel pink with a very comfortable looking bed in the middle. There's a closet in the corner and it's open so I can see it packed to the brim with all new clothes, still in their see through packaging. A window just like the one in Alpha Stones room takes up most of a wall, draped with a white see through curtain, and below me I could feel the soft white carpet.

There's a crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling and as the sun sets outside the glass pieces on the chandelier glint, sending rainbow rays across

the room.

I was in awe and my mouth dropped open.

It was so beautiful.

My eyes trace back to Alpha Stone who watched me with hooded eyes. I can see he was observing my reaction to the room and seeing my awestruck expression I caught him hide a smile.

"Do you like it?" he asks, cautiously and I want to scream 'of course, its beautiful' in reply but I catch myself before I open my mouth and embarrass myself instead I smile and nod.

"Is it- mine?" I ask, part of me still unbelieving. I had never had such a pretty room before. My room back home was just pure white with as minimal belongings as possible. It was more about keeping everything sterile than comfort. This room looked too luxurious to be mine and as much as I would love to call it mine I still craved my own bed and the familiarity of my own room.

"All yours." he confirmed with a smile.

I couldn't help but walk around the room feeling the carpet underneath my feet. I dragged my hand across the bedsheets feeling the silkiness before walking over to the ceiling to floor window. My hands gently touched the curtain, moving it to the side so I could look out at the view. It was beautiful no doubt, but perhaps because the room was just a new confirmation that this was my new life in the Red Moon Pack, my heart felt like it was sinking.

I felt Alpha Stone presence as he stepped closer, standing behind me, so close I could feel his body heat radiate off him.

"Anything you want, just ask me and I'll give it to you." His voice was strong and sincere so I turned on my heels to face him.

His height meant he towered over me so i had to tilt my head to look up at him.

"Alpha Stone," i started softly-

"Zac-" he interjected.

I stopped and collected my thoughts, reluctant to call him by his name.

"- all of this," I gestured to the room, "it's beautiful and incredible and honestly i'm so grateful," I could see his eyebrows furrow and his lips straighten, "but I don't need any of it."

Alpha Stone was about to interrupt again but I held my hand out to signal I hadn't finished.

"You said you'll give me anything that I want, right?"

Instantly i could see it click in his mind. He probably knew what I was going to say next

"Well, then I want to go home."
