I love you all x
Thank you so much for all the support you have given Eve. I'll be honest, lately I have been really struggling to write, I know where I want this story to go but I keep getting stuck. The only thing that keeps me going is all your lovely comments and messages.
I managed to write this chapter but I might re write it when I get more inspiration, but I still hope you enjoy it.
All my love Rose x
"You have got to be kidding me." I say, through a forced laugh. There was nothing funny about what Zac had just said, but I had no clue what other reaction I should give.
"Me- a werewolf and a witch?" I laugh again, sitting up properly so I could try and get my head around this ridiculousness.
"Half." Demarcus interrupts and I turn to him with a raised eyebrow.
"What?"
"You're half witch, half werewolf."
I look at him blankly. What difference does it make whether I'm half werewolf and witch, the fact is still the same- I'm not a human.
Leaning my head back on the headboard, I drag a hand through my hair. How on earth did I get into this mess?
"It will be fine." Zac reassured, placing a hand on my shoulder but I shrugged him off.
"How is it going to be fine Zac?" I snap, even though I know none of this was his fault. "All my life, I lived thinking I was a weak human being and now I've just discovered in a matter of hours that actually the reason I've been on my deathbed for the last 14 years is actually because I've been
cursed by a witch who tried to kill me and hide the fact that I'm actually part werewolf, part witch!"
I heaved, pinching the bridge of my nose, my cheeks flaming and chest rising up and down with exertion.
"So tell me Zac, how the fuck is everything fine?"
Zac pulls away from me and I can tell he doesn't know what to say. He runs his hand through his ruffled dark hair and sighs, looking just as lost as I was. Realising I was acting like a complete bitch, I reach for his hand and hold it tight.
"I'm sorry for snapping." I say, and he looks up from our linked fingers to meet my eyes. "I just don't know what I'm supposed to do."
Zac nods and pulls me into his chest and I let go of his hand to wrap my arms around him instead.
"Demarcus has decided to stay with us for a while." I pull away and look at my mate, "He believes he can help you with this new revelation."
"What do you mean?" I ask.
Demarcus speaks up. "Luna, now that the suppression spell has been broken and we know your identity, I can sense the power of your magic."
I let him continue, noticing the way his eyebrows furrowed and eyes narrowed.
"You have the potential for incredible power. I mean already you are at a level that took me decades to master."
I'm speechless. Incredible power- those words seemed foreign when talking about me and would never have previously been used to describe me.
"But you can't control it- yet." Demarcus states finally.
Zac had been watching me carefully the whole time Demarcus had been talking. "Demarcus has offered to stay and teach you how to control the magic, if you wish."
"Of course!" I practically shout, "I have no idea about any of this."
I scramble of the bed and join Demarcus, reaching out slowly to grabs both his hands and hold them tightly.
"Please stay and help me." I plead and he bows his head and nods.
"My pleasure, Luna."

The moment I felt like I could think clearly I had begged Zac if I could invite over the two people in the whole world who I depend on the most and he finally, very reluctantly agreed.
My parents stood in my room, both wide eyed and finding it hard to get their head around everything I had told them.
"I told you Jake!" My mother shouts at my father, "I told you they weren't just birthmarks and you just made fun of me, saying I think too much. Now look what happened- they were bloody spells! Black magic that nearly killed our daughter!"
If I had thought my father's anger was a sight to behold well then I was sorely mistaken. My mother in all her splendour and beauty was bright red in the face, with her blue eyes sparkling with barely controlled fury. She paced my room, her short heels digging into my soft carpet. Her hands continuously changing from being crossed across her chest to then being fisted at her sides.
She was so angry she didn't know how to act.
"Lexi, please calm down." Oopps, even I knew my father was in deep trouble now.
"CALM DOWN!" My mother shouted, making my Dad cower slightly, "Our daughter is part werewolf, part Witch and we had no bloody idea and now you want me to CALM DOWN?"
My father held his hands up in surrender, before turning to me, hoping to distract my mothers anger.
"How do you feel princess?" I can sense the worry in his voice.
When I called, I knew both of my parents were worried that I was calling to ask them to come pick me up. But then the moment I explained that actually I had figured out my true identity, they all but ran over.
I knew both of them were uneasy about being back in this territory, especially when the last time they were here, they had to submit to Zac. But I was grateful that they came when I called. I needed them here, with me.
"Honestly, I have no idea. I mean only yesterday morning I thought I was human and now-" I sighed .
My father didn't need me to finish my sentence, he already knew what I was talking about.
"Your new identity comes with a lot of power sweetheart." Dad says and I nodded my head.
"I know," I say, "look at this."
I closed my eyes and inhaled a breath. Extending my hand out, i turned it so my palm was facing upwards and then I whispered, "Undra mein."
Suddenly all the lights in the room turned off and then on and continued to do so, while the bedroom door banged open, letting in a draft of cold air.
I opened my eyes and the lights and the door closed by themselves.
My parents just stared at me with big eyes, both their mouths open in wonder.
"Y-you did that?" My mother splutters, still in disbelief and I nodded my head in excitement.
"How?" She asks, glancing quickly between the now closed door and the lights.
I shrug my shoulders, "I don't know. I just think about I want to do and then the words suddenly appear in my head and I just have to say them."
My father watches me carefully, "What else can you do?" he asks.
"I'm not sure. Demarcus doesn't want me to rush and is trying to make sure I learn the basics before I even try anything else."
"What are the basics?" My mother asks this time, joining both my father and I on my bed.
"Basics such learning the different potions and how to control the way I chant."
We sit in silence for a moment, before my mother reaches over and strokes my head.
"I can't believe it," she says, "My Eve is a little witch."
★★
I was so entranced by what I was reading I hadn't realised that Zac was in the same room, watching me in silence.
My eyes roamed over the ancient letters and I traced them with my fingers. I didn't even have to say them out loud, just seeing them written on the pages filled me with power.
Demarcus had gifted me with this book of enchantments, stating that everything I would ever want to know would be written within these pages- and I believed him. The book was old and thick, so big that I struggled to lift it at first. The pages were slightly faded, yet the writing still visible. The
book covers were made of old leather, rough around the edges but with golden engraving on it.
I had felt it's power the moment I had placed my hand on it, pulsing through my body, making me tremble.
"You learnt anything new?" Zac's voice interrupted my thoughts and startled I look up to meet his amused eyes.
"I didn't even realise you were here." I say with a smile, placing the book gently to the side.
I wasn't surprised when Zac had told me that the pack house had a library, I mean of course it would. What enormous mansion would be complete without one?
However, I wasn't expecting such an incredible room. In fact the moment I had walked into the library I felt weak in my knees. The library was a brilliant with its rustic feel and spiralling staircases leading to hundreds of tall shelves with millions of carefully placed books. The ceiling was high and made from stained glass and jotted around the massive room were chairs, tables and sofas.
I had made myself at home the moment I stepped in, curling up on one of the sofas with the book of enchantment. It was obvious I had found my favourite place in the house. My only regret I hadn't found it before.
"And actually I have learnt something new." I say with a smirk, in reply to his question.
Zac raises an eyebrow as I lift my hand.
Focusing intently on him, I curl my index finger in a small beckoning motion and murmur the words under my breath.
Before Zac could even react, his body flung across the room and landed so that he was right above me. I had fallen back to avoid getting headbutted, so it ended up with him lying above me, caging me underneath him.
"Hi there." I whisper, holding back a laugh at his confused face. One second ago he was standing by the door and now he was above me. He blinked trying to focus again and after a moment he raised his eyebrow and smirked.
"You don't need to use magic to have me above you." He says and I feel my cheeks flame.
"Shut up," I scowl, pushing him away from me, trying to hide my red cheeks, "I was just showing you what I had learnt."
He smiles, sitting next to me. "I know, it's pretty incredible." His compliment makes me smile back.
Zacs fingers reach over and tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear, his skin skimming against my cheeks.
"You're incredible." He says and I look away but he forced my face back to his. "I'm serious Eve, I'm so blessed that you are my mate."
"What because I have magical powers?" I couldn't help the annoyed tone in my voice. I wondered whether he thought differently of me now that I wasn't just a weak little human.
Zac shakes his head, his grey eyes fixed on me. "I realised I was blessed the day you punched me in the face."
I raise my eyebrow.
He laughs at my face, "you are the only person- excluding your father- who can punch me in the face and still be alive."
"You told me it was a weak punch." I retort, rolling my eyes.
"Only because I was embarrassed." He said, "You don't realise your own power Eve. Even when you were a sick human, who could barely stand up straight, you still had the courage to protect others."
I make a face unsure of what he was talking about.
"The first time I saw you," he starts to explain, "when one of my men threatened your friend, you stepped forward and threatened him."
I groaned in embarrassment, remembering how I threatened that the pack would be burnt down.
"I'm just stupid." I say, running a hand down my red face.
"And then the time you wanted to be punished alongside Carla."
I look at him and I'm taken aback by the pure emotion in his eyes. Pride.
"You are kind, caring, loving and you step up for what is right and to protect those you care for." His voice is stern but his eyes soft.
"That is why I'm blessed to have you as my mate. Not because of your magical power, but because you are you. You are everything I have ever wanted or needed and I'm more than blessed to have Evelyn Kronex as my mate and Luna."
Bloody hell.
I'm speechless and I can't help the tears that brim my eyes.
"Zac-" I start, not sure what to say to his words, but he interrupts before I can even begin.
"I love you." He says sincerely.
What?
"I love you Eve."
Oh my days! He said it.
Ok guys tell me honestly what you think of this chapter. I know it's more of a filler really, but what do you think of Zac's confession?
Also I already said this on my profile, but is there anyone who has watched The Witcher on Netflix, because I seriously need someone to fan girl over Henry Cavill with.
