Jude

T ae frowns and opens his mouth before closing it again. His teeth close on his lower lip as he considers what I just said. “I don’t understand,” he says finally.

“I’m not attracted to other guys. Just you,” I explain.

“You’re not attracted to guys, but you like me?” he repeats. “I’m still confused.”

“You’re my best friend, Tae. Even before we started messing around , we’ve always been close. I don’t know why I’m not interested in other guys, but I want this... I want to be your boyfriend.” The words almost stick in my throat. I’m laying everything out there without knowing if Tae feels the same.

“Boyfriend?” His eyes widen, but he doesn’t seem against the idea.

I grab Tae’s wrist, pulling him closer to me to give him a quick kiss. “Yeah, at least I was kinda hoping. I’ve never felt the same connection with someone else as I have with you.” I mean it, too. Even when I’ve dated girls, I’ve never felt this deep of a connection with anyone. Tae means more to me than any possible relationship I might have, and based on what we’ve already done, I know he turns me on.

“I’d love to date you.” Tae scoots closer to me and places his hand on top of mine, where I’m still toying with my trunks. “So can we drop these and get back to cuddling?”

I can’t entirely fight the blush as my cheeks heat, but I drop my swimsuit. I didn’t really want to put it back on anyway with how wet it is, but having this conversation naked made me feel a little too exposed. It’s probably silly considering what we’ve already done together, but having a serious conversation with Tae feels more intimate. He pulls me by the wrist until we’re on top of our sleeping bags again, and Tae lies down, cuddling into me. “I kinda wish we weren’t leaving tomorrow,” I admit.

“Why?” Tae threads his fingers into my hair, lazily playing with it.

“It’d be nice to have more time to figure this out without having to worry about our families finding out.”

“I doubt they’ll even notice, but we don’t have to tell them right away if you don’t want to.”

I turn to get a better look at Tae. “What do you mean? It’s gonna be pretty obvious when anyone sees us kissing.”

“That’s not what I meant. We already hang out all the time; it won’t be a big deal if we’re spending more time together. We could probably even have sleepovers if we aren’t too loud.” Tae smirks, and I’m back to blushing. It’s one thing to think about our families knowing we’re dating, but I don’t know how I feel about the possibility of anyone hearing us.

“I want that, but it’d be easier if we didn’t have to worry about being heard. I’m glad it’s summer, but I’m kinda wishing we were going back to the dorms instead.”

Tae moves, leaning over me with his arms on either side of my head. “We’re not leaving until tomorrow. We’ve got time to do more before that. We’ll just have to wait for anal. I don’t have lube or condoms, and that’d be better in a bed.”

“And you want to fuck me?” With how new all of this is, I haven’t spent a bunch of time thinking about the logistics of having sex with Tae. After what just happened with him eating me out and fingering me though, I’m open to the idea. That felt surprisingly good.

“If you’re into the idea. I don’t bottom very often, but I’m sure we can figure something out if you don’t want to.”

“I want to, but yeah, probably best to wait until we have a bed.” My dick twitches a little at the idea, trying to rally for another round. “We can’t spend the rest of this trip in the tent fooling around, though.”

“Why not?” Tae leans closer to kiss me. His lips brush against mine softly, but he doesn’t deepen it, giving me the choice. Feeling him on top of me, teasing me with a light kiss, is quickly making me forget why I’m arguing. I slide my tongue into Tae’s mouth, and he moves his leg between mine, rubbing his thigh into my dick.

“I can’t think with you doing that,” I groan. My cock is getting hard again.

“Is that a problem?” Tae moves his hand, trailing it down my chest to my nipple. He flicks his nail against the raised flesh, and a jolt of pleasure goes through me.

“This isn’t just us fooling around, though, right?” I manage to grasp on to my earlier thought. Tae pauses what he’s doing to look at me. “I mean, we’re gonna do dates and stuff like that, too?”

“Of course, and it’s fine if you want to stop. I’m not trying to push you.” He sits up, giving me more room. As I match his position, I catch a glimpse of his dick. He’s already mostly hard, and the thought of that going in me makes my hole clench. “Jude?” Tae says my name softly. When I look up to meet his eyes, his lips are in a tight smile, like he’s trying not to laugh. “I’m kinda getting mixed messages here.”

“Sorry,” I shake my head. “Just got distracted for a moment. Um, we should put clothes on.” I grab my bag, searching for dry clothes to change into. Tae laughs, but I hear him moving around too, and by the time I get my underwear and a pair of cargo shorts on, he’s pulled on his own boxer briefs. “Didn’t you say you have a present for me?”

“Right.” Tae digs in his bag again. I think we both were a bit too distracted just now to remember. He pulls out a small, unwrapped box and hands it to me. When I lift the lid, the sun hits the brass reflecting the light.

“You got me a compass?” I pull it out, opening the compass to look at the inside.

“I figured it’d come in handy with you going on hikes all the time.” He shrugs. “I didn’t know when I bought it that all this would happen on our trip.”

“Thank you. It’s great.” I pocket the compass. “Do you want to play Uno?” I change the subject, searching for a distraction.

“Sure.” Tae grabs a pair of jean shorts, pulling them on along with a T-shirt. I follow him outside, and we set up a spot near the fire pit to play cards. Neither of us says much as we play. We’re only a few rounds in when Tae lays down his card and says, “uno.”

I play my next card, and Tae smiles as he places his last card down. “How about a different game?” He grabs the deck, shuffling it idly.

“Like what?”

“Truth or dare?” Tae looks at me with one eyebrow raised.

“Truth.”

“You really want to do this? Date me and be my boyfriend?” He splits the deck in half to shuffle it again.

I reach over to place my hand on Tae’s thigh. “Yeah, I do. What about you? Truth or dare?”

“Dare.” Tae grabs the box for the cards, sliding them in.

“I dare you to kiss me.” It’s not the best dare, but Tae smiles as he moves closer to me. He reaches where I’m sitting, but instead of kissing me, he sits on my lap, straddling me.

“Just a kiss?” he asks. My dick perks up again, but I stay silent and nod my head. Tae cups the back of my head, pulling me into a deep kiss. By the time we pull away, we’re both breathing heavily.

“What would you have asked for if I’d said dare?”

“For you to strip down and go skinny dipping with me.” Tae waggles his eyebrows suggestively, and a nervous laugh escapes my lips.

“You’re not serious, are you?”

“Okay, maybe not that. I don’t want to get arrested for public indecency, but the stripping part. I’d love seeing that when we get back to the dorms.”

I look into Tae’s eyes, waiting for the punch line. I’m not the type to look sexy putting on a striptease. Except Tae is still looking me over with hungry eyes, and his dick is hard against my belly. “Really?”

“You don’t have to act so surprised. You’re hot. You know that, don’t you?” Tae’s words make my cheeks heat up.

I bite my lip, looking down at the floor. “But I’m ...”

“What? You aren’t skinny? Or you don’t have a six-pack?” Tae’s still smiling when I look up at him. “It isn’t about having some perfect athletic body. You being confident and showing off your body, teasing me like that?” He leans in and kisses my neck, sending a jolt of lust through my body. “That’s sexy.”
