Tae

J ude is adorably tipsy. When the night started, I was sure I’d made a mistake bringing him here, but now he seems to have loosened up with a few drinks. We’re dancing again, and instead of Jude standing there awkwardly as I dance around him, he has his back to me with his ass pressed right against my crotch as he shimmies his hips. It surprised me at first, but I think it had something to do with Austin and Cooper being here. Which has been another interesting thing to watch.

Austin, in a true playboy fashion, was flirting heavily with Cooper, but Cooper just waved him off. I’m not sure what’s going on between the two of them, if anything at all. My attention has really been on Jude. Speaking of, I should probably take him home soon. It’s getting late, and he’s had too much to drink as it is.

“We’re gonna call it a night,” I tell Austin. “Do you need a ride home?”

He looks over at Cooper and raises an eyebrow, but Cooper merely shrugs in response. “I can give him a ride,” he offers. “I haven’t been drinking.”

“Thanks,” I call out over the noise. With that taken care of, I weave through the crowd, pulling Jude by the wrist along behind me. He follows along, getting in the passenger side of the car and leaving me to drive us back to his place. “Did you have fun tonight?” I ask.

“You should stay the night,” he says rather than answering my question.

“Not sure that’s a great idea,” I tell him. “Maybe another time.” I start the car, pulling out of the parking lot.

Jude lays a hand on my thigh, rubbing my leg through my pants. “You sure?”

“I think you’ve had a few too many drinks.” I place my hand on his, moving it away so I can focus on driving. I’m regretting picking somewhere so far away, but it’s not like we had many options in town.

“I’m not that tipsy,” Jude protests grumpily, turning toward the window to look out into the night. Within minutes, his breathing gets deeper and turns into a soft snore. Guess he passed out. Probably for the best. The rest of the drive passes in silence, and as I pull up to his house and park the car, I’m left with the question of what to do now. I get out, walking over to the passenger door to get Jude out. I know I can’t pick him up, but when I open the door, I realize I won’t have to. Jude mumbles, half asleep. “Are we home?”

“Yeah, come on, let’s get you to bed.”

“Okay.” He stumbles out of the seat, leaning into me as we walk. We make it to his room quietly, but once the door closes behind me, Jude wraps his arms around me and pins me to the wall. He presses his lips to mine, sloppily kisses me. I taste the sweet and hot mixture of oranges and vodka on his lips. “Tae, I wanna ...” his words drift off as he doesn’t finish the sentence. “Stay, please.”

“Okay, go lay down. I need to use the restroom, but I’ll be right back.” I lead him to the bed, waiting until Jude’s stripped down to his boxers and in bed before I slip out of the room. I need a moment to collect myself, and hopefully that will be long enough for Jude to fall asleep again. It shouldn’t be a big deal to share the bed as long as all we do is sleep.

I wake up to light kisses moving along my jaw, down to my neck. “Morning,” Jude says as I open my eyes. He looks up at me from under his lashes as his head moves further, kissing my collarbone then my chest right above my nipple. His eyes meet mine as his tongue curls around the nub, and I hold back a moan. I have no clue what time it is, but from the light shining in through the window, I think we slept in a bit.

Jude slides his hands down my sides to my legs, encouraging me to spread them to give him room to move between. He kisses lower, swirling his tongue into my belly button before his hand wraps around the base of my erection, freeing me from my underwear. His eyes meet mine as he licks the tip of my cock. I bite my lip, trying to keep quiet. He opens his mouth wider, sucking on the head, when a knock on the door makes both of us jump.

“Jude, breakfast,” his mom calls.

I’m doing my best to hold back a laugh as Jude sits up. His cheeks are a bright red with embarrassment. “We’ll be right out,” I answer for the both of us. “Just waking up.”

“We should probably ...” Jude motions vaguely toward the door. “Get dressed and get out there before she comes back.” We slip out of bed, and I pull on my clothes from the night before while Jude pulls on fresh clothes from his closet. I’m almost a little sad to see him fully dressed when I’d rather be pulling him back to the bed. Still probably for the best with how we’re already being interrupted.

Jude’s dad is already at the table when we get there, sitting in his regular spot. His mom walks out of the kitchen holding a platter of French toast. We take the chairs next to each other, waiting until everyone is seated before we dig in. I’m putting strawberries on my plate when Jude’s mom points her fork at him. “Honey, you have a little something.” I turn to look and notice how the way he’s reaching across the table caused the neckline of his shirt to go lower. “Is that a hickey?” she asks. Sure enough, there’s a red kiss mark on his collarbone. It must have happened last night at the club.

Jude’s hand flies up to cover the mark as his cheeks color. “I, um...” he mumbles. “I guess this is a good time to tell you I’m dating Tae.”

His dad laughs, shaking his head like this is no surprise. “Oh, hun, you don’t need to be embarrassed,” his mom tells us. “You took longer than we expected, but we were waiting for this day.”

“You what?” Jude asks, looking from his mom to his dad. “You thought we were?”

“It’s not really a surprise, son. You two have always been so close. We figured it was only a matter of time before it turned into more,” Jude’s dad chimes in.

“I can’t believe I’m the only one who thought I was straight,” Jude mumbles under his breath, closing his eyes and looking downward. I have to hold back a laugh.

“Oh, I meant to tell you. The guys are planning a bonfire for next weekend. It’s gonna be a big thing at Cooper’s place. You should go with me,” I tell Jude, hoping to change the subject. His parents are still smiling as they eat, but no one brings up us dating for the rest of the meal.
