Epilogue

Two Months Later

“You’re sure you have everything?” My mom asks, glancing behind me at my car.

“I’m sure, and it’s not a long drive if I forgot something. I need to go. I’ll see you soon.” My car is packed with everything I could possibly need for the dorms. I can’t believe summer break is already over.

“Don’t forget to text me when you get there.” Mom hugs me, then Dad steps forward to do the same.

“I’ll text,” I promise. “I need to go. Tae’s expecting me to pick him up.”

“Of course. Tell him hi for us.” My mom waves as I get in my car to head to my boyfriend’s house. My heart beats faster in anticipation on the short drive over. It’s been a weird summer since I started dating Tae, but I’m looking forward to being back in the dorms, where we’ll at least be away from the prying eyes of our families. After my parents found out, it was only a few days before Tae’s parents knew too. The whole thing was more than a little awkward. We’ve barely gotten any time to truly be alone other than going out on dates.

I pull the car to a stop in front of Tae’s house, and he’s already outside with his bags. I hit the button to open the trunk and get out to greet him. “Hey.”

“Hey,” Tae backs me into the side of the car, bracing his arms on either side of my head. He leans in for a kiss, slowly dragging his tongue over my lips. I hold back a moan, but I’m just as eager for this as he is.

“We should get going. Come on.” I break the kiss, and Tae bites his lip. We load his bags next to mine in the trunk and pile into the car. We already received our dorm numbers, but we need to pick up keys before we unload. Not that it matters when both of us are more eager to get our hands on each other than bother with any unpacking.

When we get to the university, we wait in line to get our keys. From there I follow Tae through the student housing until we get to his room. He slides his key into the lock and opens the door. “Hey,” a familiar voice calls as we enter the room. I turn to see Austin pop his head out of the other bedroom. He glances at Tae and smirks. “Looks like we’re dorm mates.”

Tae grins, heading for the room he’s been assigned and opening that door. “Nice, I’ll see you in a little? I’m gonna get some stuff put away.”

Austin looks at us, his eyes sweeping over me. “Uh huh, sure,” he says sarcastically before pulling out a pair of earbuds from his pocket. “Have fun.”

Tae laughs, pulling me into his bedroom with him before locking the door behind us. We drop our bags, and he closes me in against the wall. He presses his chest into mine but stops when our lips are barely apart. “Finally. Alone at last.” He kisses me.

“Tae,” I say his name softly when we break apart.

“Hmm?” he hums as his hands pull my shirt over my head. He kisses my neck while his hand moves to tweak my nipple.

“I love you.”

With his lips pressed against my ear he whispers, “I love you too.”
