Epilogue

THEO

A Few Years Later

“S hh,” Allegra says, giving me the evil eye. I would laugh, but I just got in trouble for making too much noise. I mean, I don’t know what noise I made, but since we had our son just six months earlier, Allegra seems to have developed superhuman hearing. Even people mention it at work.

She no longer manages the food and beverage department. Instead, she handles outreach programs, coming up with cool things to entice guests to come to stay with us. We still live near the Shenandoah resort in the house I lived in, so that’s where her office is, even though she handles things for all the resorts in North America.

“What makes you think they’re out here?”

She gives me an eye roll, and I bite back a laugh. God, I love her. And this…well, this is a genius payback.

It’s been three years, and she has been planning this payback to all her brothers for what they did the weekend we discovered our feelings for one another. Me, I think we should thank them every day. I suggested that several times, but she just said, “Sullivans don’t get mad. We get even.”

Whenever she says that I get a little scared and a little turned one. My feelings for my pint-sized dictator have grown each and every day.

She made me wait six months before we got married. It was annoying, but I let her and her mother plan the wedding she wanted. The beautiful boy she gave me just makes me love her even more. And things like this…well, it’s one of the things I love about Allegra and her family. They are kind of a rowdy bunch. Family vacations are always fun.

She stops the closer we get to the lake. We’re up in the mountains at a rented house with a beautiful lake nearby. The guys had invited me out for a late-night swim, but I declined. I knew it was something my wife was waiting for.

“Are you sure they’re skinny dipping?”

I nod. “And those ladies I met at the grocery store are having their writing retreat, along with a little party tonight on their patio that overlooks the lake. I checked it out. It’s right around the bend.”

She stops and looks at me, her eyes narrowing. “Romance authors? You are not posing for a cover or inspiration.”

“Of course not.”

A few of them did ask me if I was a model, but I don’t mention it. If Allegra gets jealous, we end up naked.

Just then, I hear one of her brothers yell at one of the others. We make our way down there as quietly as we can. Their splashing thankfully covers the twigs snapping under our feet. In the distance, I can hear music playing, and I have a feeling that the women I met in the store are already having a blast.

I help her gather up the clothes, then she shoos me away. I stand back because there is no way I am going to miss this. They tried to take me “snipe” hunting on the first trip. They found out that being a Virginia boy, I knew all about fake snipes and taking newbies out for the hunt.

“Hey, losers,” Allegra bellows.

“What the hell?” Alyx shouts.

“You can have them back if you can catch me.”

And she takes off. I wait for all my brothers-in-law to give chase, their asses shining brightly tonight. Allegra has a great night for this as the sky is clear.

They yell at her, but Allegra is pretty damned fast, and she had a head start. We get to the clearing, and the guys come to a stop.

“Ladies,” Allegra says. I see the women I met all watching the scene. “These are my brothers, and believe it or not, they actually are all married. But several years ago, they played a prank on me. This is my payback. Enjoy!”

Then she tosses their clothes across the lawn. The women all start catcalling.

She stops right by her brothers, where three of them are all covering their junk, except for Raine.

“Sullivans don’t get mad. We get even.”

“What did we do to you?” Raine asks as he walks forward, takes a bow for the applause—there is something off about that guy—and grabs his pants.

“One word,” she says, settling her hands on her waist. Damn, she’s the sexiest woman in the world. “Devon.”

It’s then that they notice me. “Hey, you didn’t tell us about this.”

I laugh. “Dude, you should know that I do what your sister tells me to do. Also, I’m the one who knew about the lovely ladies tonight.” I wave at them, and I hear a few thank you’s.

I take her hand, and we run off together, much like that night we declared our love to each other.

And, if you were wondering—I was right. Her mother loves me. She’s standing on the deck, looking out at the lake.

“Is there something I should know about?”

Frank, Allegra’s father, steps out on the deck and looks down at us.

“Nope. Just a little payback the boys deserved,” Allegra says.

I see all the wives laughing, and I realize then that they were all in on it too. I pick Allegra up and carry her into the house.

“That was amazing, Ms. Sullivan-Darling.”

“Why, thank you, Mr. Darling.”

I make it to our room in record time, and I lock the door. Mainly because I don’t want her brothers to come barging in. And they would. They’ve done it before.

I toss her on the bed. She giggles, the joyous sound dancing over every nerve ending in my body. My cock is so fucking hard, I don’t know if I will last three thrusts.

“You need to get naked, now.”

“Ohh, I love it when you get bossy with me.”

I toss my shirt behind me on the floor. Hers follows, along with her bra and shorts and panties. I slip over her body, then roll us across the mattress so that she’s on top.

She doesn’t hesitate to rise to her knees. After taking my cock into her hand, she centers it at her opening and slowly slides down on it. I groan as her muscles tighten around me, milking me.

“Fuck, you’re so wet,” I groan as I watch her. She’s wild tonight, her hair a tangle of curls bouncing as she rides me hard and fast. My fingers dig into her hips as I hold onto her—even though I don’t control anything. This is her night, all her.

I’m close, my orgasm teetering on the edge, so I brush my fingers over her clit, teasing it. She moans my name just as I start coming. Her pussy is spasming around my dick as I thrust up one last time before coming.

She collapses on top of me, and I wrap my arms around her.

“I love you,” she whispers against my skin.

“Right back at ya, Allegra.” Always.
