Chapter 28
Chapter Twenty-Eight
Mila
Iam so screwed. So, so screwed. After leaving the shop, I’m not sure where to go. My apartment is still being worked on, and I have a few errands to run, but I know I can’t stay away forever. If I’m honest with myself though, I also don’t want to.
I like Kash. I really do. He’s loyal, kind, funny, and makes me feel like I’m the only person he sees.
As much as I like that, it also scares the hell out of me.
I can’t let go of the fear that he might suddenly decide one day that I’m not what he wants after all and I’m already incredibly attached to him.
It’s not like he’s known for being relationship material.
But Kash has this way of pulling you into him, like gravity.
When I’m with him, time just slows down.
It doesn’t feel like I have to be somewhere, or that I’ve wasted my evening; instead, it feels like no time has passed at all.
And yes, I know he calls me Wifey, but he always has nicknames for people.
He calls Cora and Atlas, ‘Care Bear and Grumpy Bear,’ for crying out loud.
Just when I think that I can handle him, I realize there is no handling Kash. He is a force all on his own. He went from bringing me beautiful flowers, with a note that had me standing in the walk-in cooler for ten minutes, to threatening bodily harm to Marcus. Fortunately, I think he got the hint.
I’m surprised to see Kash’s keys sitting on the table as I walk in. He’s been spending so much time at the shop lately, I assumed I’d be here alone again. I’ve been thinking about him more than I want to admit. I wonder if he has any plans tonight. Maybe that’s why he’s here so early.
“Kash?” I call out tentatively, waiting for his response.
When silence greets me in return, I head further into the apartment and find his door ajar.
Turning toward the sound of my name, I push it open further and step into his room.
“Hey, what are you—” I stop when I enter his bedroom and find it empty.
Where is he? I hear my name again, like it’s being exhaled on a breathy moan, and suddenly realize the shower is running and the door to his bathroom is open.
Kash is in there, naked in the shower. My hands fly to my mouth as I stand frozen in his room and listen to the pained sounds coming from him. Even though I know I shouldn’t look, I can’t help it. I have to see if he’s doing what I think he is.
Peeking around the corner, I’m not prepared for the sight in front of me.
“Fuck, Mila.” I hear Kash groan as he stands naked under the stream, one fist wrapped around his dick, stroking it.
His free hand is braced against the wall, while his head is thrown back in obvious pleasure, eyes closed.
His hair hangs loose around his shoulders, slicked back in wet waves.
Holy shit. Watching Kash pleasure himself while thinking of me is hot as hell.
I never understood the need for glass shower doors much, but now I’m thankful they exist. The bottom of it is frosted, but the top is clear, giving me the perfect view of Kash’s abs and arms, as well as his dick.
Kash is big everywhere, so it would make sense that his dick is no different.
It’s long and thick, and the more he tugs, the more I want to push his hand out of the way and try it myself.
I want to be the wanton version of myself that I imagine when I’m around him.
I’m not overly experienced, but he’s definitely the biggest I’ve ever seen.
The desire to make him feel as good as he made me feel is unnerving.
I know he said he won't touch me until I’m ready, but this little show might have me saying ‘to hell with it’ if I don’t move soon.
He jerks his hand once, twice more, then groans as he comes, spilling down the drain. My panties are damp, and the realization that I want to join him in the shower, and afterward his bed, becomes enough to make me snap from my stupor.
Backing up, I quickly head for my room to change. I can’t stay here, and I can’t walk around with damp underwear. I bite back a whimper when I yank my leggings and ruined panties down. I swear if I touch myself in even the smallest way, I’m likely to come.
Once I’ve changed, I fluff my hair out and get ready to leave.
As quietly as possible, I creep out of my room and up the hall.
I know I have to hurry before he gets out here.
I need air, and fast. After I grab my keys, I can go.
Kash enters the kitchen a few moments after I do, sporting boxer briefs and glasses.
It really is unfair how attractive he is.
He looks surprised yet happy to see me, and all I can picture is his naked, tattooed body and the way he gripped his cock while moaning my name.
Heat pools in my core, and it takes everything in me not to climb him like a tree.
I have no doubt my face is as red as a stop sign right now.
Kash’s large form is standing in front of me. “Are you okay? Do you feel sick?” He places his hand across my forehead, concern marring his features.
Shoving it to the side, I quickly step back. I don’t know what I’ll do if he keeps touching me. “Nope. I’m fine. Completely fine. Everything is good.” I'm rambling. God this is embarrassing. Does he know?
“Are you sure?” His brown eyes search mine, looking for answers that I’m not ready to share yet. Pushing his hand to the side, I step back.
“Yep. I just need a minute.”
Like the coward I am, I rush past him, slamming my bedroom door shut. I slide down the door frame, thumping my head softly against it. Get it together, Mila. You’re an adult for shit’s sake. You just caught the man masturbating to the thought of you. What’s the big deal?
Dropping my head into my hands, I finally allow myself to see the truth.
The big deal is, I want to touch him too. Actually, I want to do more than touch him. I want to make him laugh and let myself see if I can feel all the things he’s been promising.
The big deal is, I want something with Kash, and I’m too damn scared to admit it.
“If you want a hand, just let me know!” his voice calls from up the hallway.
A laugh escapes me, and even though I’m ridiculously turned on, I don’t need a hand. I need a drink, and I know just where to go.
