Chapter 35

DORIE
I knew Eliza saw me and Kaisen dancing and I didn’t care. Her eyes flicked to us, just for a second before she looked away. Her smile never faltered as she laughed at something Cullen said. Maybe she didn’t care either. Or maybe she just didn’t want to see it. Either way, I wasn’t going to let it stop me from savoring the moment.
Kaisen’s hands were warm on my waist, his body pressed against mine in a way that felt both familiar and electric. I could feel the tension in him, the way he was holding back. It only made me want him more. His breath was hot against my ear.
“Let’s get out of here,” he said.
“We can’t,” I said.
“Why can’t we?”
We were both feeling the heat. I wanted him naked. It was pretty clear he was hoping for that as well.
“I don’t know,” I said. “They’re going to notice if we disappear.”
“Who fucking cares?” he said. “I don’t. Let’s go. They’re all drunk anyway. And I guarantee you Eliza doesn’t care. The party is over. There will be no penis pops. Do you really think she and Cullen are going to stay here much longer? Look at them.”
My gaze drifted to where my sister and her fiancé were definitely going to be making a break for it.
“See,” he said. “They’re practically stripping each other naked with their eyes.”
“Okay,” I said before I could change my mind.
He flashed a grin. “Let’s go.”
He grabbed my hand and pulled me off the dance floor. I bumped shoulders as he pulled me through the crowd.
“Almost there,” he murmured. He glanced over his shoulder. There was something primal in his gaze that made my stomach flip.
He guided us toward a side exit. The moment we stepped out, it felt like we’d crossed into another world.
Kaisen didn’t let go of my hand. We moved quickly, laughing under our breath like two teenagers sneaking out past curfew. I glanced over my shoulder, half-expecting to see Eliza or one of the girls chasing us, but the coast was clear. For now, at least.
We walked back to our hotel as fast as our legs would carry us.
“My room,” he said.
“You know, I’m wasting a perfectly good hotel room by coming back to yours.”
Kaisen smirked. “Trust me, you’re not wasting anything.” He pressed the elevator button, his free hand sliding around my waist to pull me closer. “Besides, my room has a rooftop hot tub. I’ve been dying to use it.”
I raised an eyebrow, trying to play it cool even though my heart was racing. “A hot tub, huh? Is that your idea of romance?”
He leaned down, his lips brushing against my ear. “You’ll find out soon enough.”
We stepped inside the elevator, the space suddenly feeling too small with the way he was looking at me. As soon as the doors closed, he pinned me against the wall, his mouth crashing into mine. My hands tangled in his hair as the elevator climbed higher and higher. By the time we reached his floor, I was breathless, my lips swollen and my mind hazy.
The doors slid open just before he could hike up my dress and take me right there in the elevator.
He fumbled with the keycard to his suite but finally managed to get the door open. I walked inside, barely getting the chance to look around when he grabbed my hand and jerked me backward. He kicked the door shut behind us and nearly swallowed me whole.
I swatted his hands away, pretending to be offended. “Slow down, cowboy. I thought you were going to show me some romance.”
He groaned, dropping his forehead to mine. “You’re killing me, Dorie.”
I laughed, stepping back to unzip my dress myself. “Patience is a virtue, Kaisen.”
He watched me with hungry eyes as I let the dress fall to the floor, leaving me in just my heels and lingerie that he sent. His gaze raked over me. I felt a thrill of power knowing I had this effect on him. “You’re going to be the death of me,” he muttered, stripping off his shirt and tossing it aside.
I took his hand, leading him toward the sliding glass doors that opened onto the rooftop. The hot tub was already steaming. “Come on,” I said, stepping out of my heels and dipping a toe into the water. “You promised me a soak.”
As I stepped into the warm water, he followed me, his hands sliding around my waist. “I promise you a lot more than that,” he murmured, his lips trailing down my neck.
The water enveloped me as I sank into the tub. Kaisen quickly stripped. Then his hands were everywhere—on my waist, sliding up my back, tangling in my hair. I couldn’t think straight, didn’t want to. The moment his lips found mine again, I was lost.
He pulled me into his lap. I straddled him, rubbing against his cock.
“You’re incredible,” he murmured against my lips, his voice rough with desire. “Fucking incredible.”
I didn’t have a response, not when he was kissing me like that. His tongue slid against mine, deepening the kiss until I couldn’t breathe. I didn’t care about anything but him. One of his hands moved to the back of my neck, holding me in place as he nipped at my bottom lip, sending a jolt of heat straight to my core.
The water sloshed around us as he shifted, pressing me against the edge of the tub. His body pinned mine. I could feel every inch of him.
Kaisen’s hand slipped between my legs. I gasped into his mouth, arching against him as his fingers stroked my clit.
I whimpered in response, my nails digging into his shoulders. He pushed two fingers inside me, knowing just where and how to stroke me, building the tension higher and higher until I was trembling against him.
“Kaisen, please,” I panted, rocking my hips against his hand. “I need you.”
He pulled back just enough to meet my gaze. “What do you need, Dorie?” he asked. “Tell me.”
“I need you inside me,” I murmured.
He pulled away. “Stay right here.”
He climbed out of the hot tub and walked away. I leaned back and looked at the stars with a smile on my face. He returned a minute later with the condom already on. He reached down and pulled me from the hot tub and laid me out next to it. He opened my legs and pushed inside.
I cried out, looking up at the night sky as he buried himself inside me. Kaisen filled me completely.
“Fuck, you feel incredible,” he groaned, his lips trailing hot, openmouthed kisses along my neck.
I hooked one leg over his hip, changing the angle and allowing him to sink even deeper.
“Yes,” I gasped out, my fingers tangling in his hair. “Just like that, baby.”
He groaned in response, his thrusts growing harder. The smack of skin against skin filled the night air. I rolled my hips to meet his thrusts. Kaisen’s hand slid under me, cupping my ass and adjusting the angle again. The new position allowed him to stroke even deeper.
“Oh god,” I cried out, my back arching as white-hot pleasure spread through me.
It was all too much. We exploded together as we cried out in unison.
“Shit,” he gasped. “We need to get you off this hard floor. It’s got to be digging into your back.”
“I’m okay.”
“Come on,” he said and rolled away. “Let’s go to bed.”
The next morning, I woke up slowly. Kaisen was still asleep beside me, his arm draped over my waist, his breathing slow and even. I smiled to myself, savoring the moment. It felt perfect. Like nothing could ruin it.
I pointed my toes, languidly stretching and unable to stop the smile. He’d given me another amazing night. It was all so perfect.
But of course, that was exactly when everything went sideways.
Kaisen stirred, his eyes fluttering open. He pulled me closer. “Morning,” he murmured, his voice rough with sleep.
“Morning,” I replied, tilting my head to kiss him. “Sleep well?”
“Better than I have in years,” he said. “You?”
I laughed softly. “Same. Though I think I might need another hour or two to recover.”
He grinned, leaning in to kiss me again, but before he could, there was a knock at the door. We both froze, staring at each other.
“Room service?” I whispered.
He frowned, glancing at the clock. “I didn’t order anything. Did you?”
The knock came again, louder this time. “Kaisen! You in there, man? Open up!”
Kaisen groaned. “Cullen,” he muttered. “Of course.”
I sat up, pulling the sheet around me. “What do we do?”
He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I’ll get rid of him. Just stay here.”
He climbed out of bed, pulling on a pair of boxers and an unbuttoned shirt before heading to the door. I stayed where I was, my heart pounding as I listened to the conversation.
“Cullen, what are you doing here?”
“Dude, I’ve been calling you,” Cullen said, sounding annoyed. “The guys got super drunk last night, and I think we need to start wrangling everyone up. You’re not answering your phone, so I figured I’d come find you.”
“Yeah, well, I was busy,” Kaisen said. “I’ll meet you downstairs in a bit.”
Cullen wasn’t having it. “Come on, man, just let me in. I need coffee.”
Before Kaisen could stop him, Cullen pushed past him and walked into the suite. I froze, clutching the sheet tighter. Cullen’s eyes landed on me. For a moment, there was silence. Then Cullen’s face broke into a grin.
“Well, well, well,” he said, crossing his arms over his chest. “Looks like love is in the air.”
Kaisen closed the door, his expression one of resignation. “Cullen, this isn’t what it looks like.”
Cullen laughed, shaking his head. “Oh, it’s exactly what it looks like. Don’t worry, man, your secret’s safe with me. But damn, Kaisen, I didn’t know you had it in you.”
I felt my cheeks burn. I shot Kaisen a look. “This is your fault,” I muttered.
He sighed, rubbing his hand over his face. “Yeah, I know.”
Cullen, meanwhile, was still grinning like an idiot. “I’m sorry I intruded but this is hilarious.”
I wanted to melt into the bed. This was easily one of the most humiliating moments of my life. My soon-to-be brother-in-law caught me naked in bed with his best friend.
Great .
