Chapter 20

CHAPTER TWENTY_

BELONGING

Winston lay in a sticky heap with Lucky on top of him and Calvin curled up against their sides.

He trailed a hand down Calvin’s arm. His outfit had been a surprise.

A good one. A happy one, but a surprise nonetheless.

Lucky had probably told Calvin how to dress.

After all, Winston had been the one avoiding everyone, not him.

“I’m sorry I was a shitty friend this week,” Winston said to them both. “I got wrapped up in my own head.”

Lucky kissed Winston’s cheek. “You’re forgiven.”

Then, from the other side of Winston, he felt Calvin stir.

“We’re friends?” Calvin sounded confused, and awestruck. “I’ve never had a friend before.”

Winston looked over at Calvin, who looked up at him with more human emotion in his expression than Winston was sure he should’ve been capable of.

“Of course we’re friends,” Winston said. “I have to admit, Calvin, I’ve thought of you as a friend since you were first brought here. I also have to admit that it’s weird for me to have a friend I technically own.”

“I like you owning me. It makes me feel like I belong. I like belonging to you.”

“That’s probably something the three of us need to discuss, but we should do it sitting up with clothes on.”

“You’re such a spoilsport, Winnie,” Lucky groused. “I vote we stay naked so we can go for round two as soon as my dick recovers.”

“What did you want to talk about?” Calvin asked.

Leave it to him to cut to the chase. Winston wasn’t surprised that he’d want all the facts.

“Well, we should talk about what the three of us just did.”

“What we just did? We had sex, Winnie. Intercourse. Fornication. We fucked—”

Lucky clamped a hand down over Calvin’s mouth. “We know, buddy. What Winston means is that people sometimes have complicated emotional and physical needs.”

“Do you have complicated emotional needs, Winnie?” Calvin gently pushed Lucky’s hand away from his mouth.

“I think everyone does,” Winston said thoughtfully, reaching out to Calvin to push his hair off his forehead.

It took a minute or more for Calvin to respond. “And what are your needs?”

This. Winston needed this. He needed Lucky, and he needed Calvin. As silly as it might sound to anyone else. The idea of using Calvin to fulfill Lucky in a physical way, to add him to the relationship as basically a walking sex toy, had quickly morphed in Winston’s mind.

Calvin was a whole ass person, or at least Winston wanted to treat him as such. He wouldn’t order him into a relationship with him and Lucky.

“Did you like what we did?” Winston asked.

Calvin smiled at him, bright and almost real. “I liked it a lot, Winnie.” His voice was soft, reverent almost. “So much.”

“Would you want to keep doing it?”

When Calvin immediately started to move, Winston pulled him back down. “Not this very second, but in general.”

“I would like that.”

Winston let out a breath. “Lucky and I, we have a history together. We tried to be together in the past, but for complex reasons, it didn’t work. Adding you to the equation simplifies things.”

Calvin scrunched his face. “I’m not sure I understand.”

“To put it plainly, Cal, Winnie here is a dedicated bottom. He will never want to fuck me the way I like to be fucked sometimes. And though I’ve never held it against him, he loves me and doesn’t want me to sacrifice anything for him.”

Winston tightened his arm around Lucky and dropped a kiss on his forehead. “I don’t ever want to be the reason you’re unhappy.”

“Oh, Winnie, you fucking fool.” Lucky laughed against Winston’s chest. Then kissed him so sweetly Winston felt all the love Lucky had for him pour through it. “If I had you, I’d never be unhappy.”

“Well, that’ll be true now because you have me, and we both have Calvin. And he has us.” Winston looked at Calvin. “I know it might be beyond your programming to understand this, but you do have a choice. If you don’t like what we ask you to do, you can say no.”

“I understand.” Calvin gave Winston a solemn nod, then his face slowly broke out into a smile. “I happen to like what we did.”

“No more avoiding us, Winnie,” Lucky said. “Right, Calvin?”

“I agree with Lucky. I didn’t like your absence this week.”

“I’ll stop avoiding you, I promise.” It was the easiest promise Winston could make.

Their happiness was his happiness. All he’d ever wanted was to feel like he was enough for someone, like he fit somewhere exactly perfectly, and that’s the feeling that encompassed him as he lay between Lucky and Calvin.

“And I’ll buy more cute little skirts for our little robot femboy here. Our fembot.” Lucky reached across Winston, dragging his hand down Calvin’s arm. “You looked hot as fuck today, by the way.”

“I’d hoped you wouldn’t mind me borrowing your clothing again. You did leave the invitation open.”

Calvin looked at Winston. “Did you like it?”

Winston’s brain short-circuited a bit, and when he didn’t answer, Calvin smirked at him.

“I know you liked it, Winnie. Your heart rate increased and your pupils dilated, both strong indicators of pleasure. I just wanted to hear you say it.”

“I liked it very, very much.” Winston moved to kiss Calvin. It was such an interesting experience, the urge to kiss something that didn’t feel quite the way Winston was used to a kiss feeling. But it had the same effect on his cock as kisses with Lucky did.

As much as Winston wanted to keep kissing, he still had to make sure they were all on the same page. He’d fucked up a relationship with Lucky before. He wasn’t about to let it happen again.

“So, we’re boyfriends now? The three of us? Right?” Winston asked, hating how vulnerable he sounded. How exposed he felt.

Lucky pushed himself up on his elbow and looked down at Winston. “We’re boyfriends, Winnie. The three of us. Right, Calvin? You’re okay with that?”

“Yes. I am.”

Winston breathed a sigh of relief. “Okay, what about rules? Relationships have rules. And normally I’d say we can figure it out as we go, but I don’t like that level of uncertainty.”

It was Lucky who spoke. “Rule number one, if anyone isn’t happy, they speak up about it.

Rule number two, any two members of this relationship can be as intimate as they want, when they want, without the third member’s permission or knowledge.

” Lucky counted off the rules on his fingers.

Holding up a third finger, he continued.

“Rule number three, it’s okay to be jealous. It’s not okay to let it fester.”

“What does jealousy feel like?” Calvin asked. =

Winston didn’t think his question was all that strange. Calvin liked to understand things. And human emotions were foreign to him.

“Jealousy,” Winston started. “Is when something makes you angry, that maybe shouldn’t make you angry.

And you’re only angry because you want to have whatever it is that’s making you feel that anger.

Like, say you and Lucky were kissing, and I saw you and it made me feel left out and angry, and it made me want to be the one who was being kissed, and that made me angry too. That’s jealousy.”

“Jealousy sounds awful.” Calvin, as it turned out, had an adorable pout.

Lucky snorted a laugh. “Because it is. It’s absolute shit.

It’s also only something to worry about if you let it become an issue.

Jealousy can sometimes be solved by speaking up or by compromising.

For example, I don’t mind the thought of you and Winnie together, but the idea of either of you with anyone else pisses me off.

That’s jealousy. Jealousy can be a tool we use to establish boundaries, or it can be a force that can tear us apart if we let it. ”

Calvin furrowed his brow. “I don’t think I like jealousy.”

Winston laughed and snuggled closer to Calvin. He was starting to feel itchy and sticky from their activities, and it made him restless. “We should shower.”

“Can you get wet, Calvin?” Lucky asked. “Like can you shower with us?”

“My circuitry is well protected. Unless I’m submersed at a depth greater than one hundred meters, in which case it would be the pressure that shuts me down before the water would have a chance to do damage.”

Winston blinked at Calvin. “So that’s a yes?”

“Yes, Winnie, I can shower with you. If you like.”

“I think I’d like that very much.” Winston tried to force himself up and out of bed, but he was still too sated to move. If he got out of bed, he worried that their happy little sex bubble might burst, and he wanted to bask in the feelings that curled around him like a warm blanket.

Protection. Belonging. Happiness. Lucky had let him have his space, then dragged him home, and not a moment too soon.

After their shower, which Winston insisted be a real shower and not just a naked frot fest—though it had been tempting—they piled back into bed.

Winston sat in the middle with Lucky on one side and Calvin on the other.

Winston pulled his laptop out and flipped it open before turning his attention to Calvin.

“Lucky mentioned buying you your own clothes. Would you like that?”

“I would like that very much.” Calvin smiled at Winston, making his heart twist. God, how could someone made of wires and silicone, computer chips, and a bunch of code Winston would never understand be so fucking sweet?

“What kinds of things did you like?” Lucky asked.

“Shiny things.” Calvin screwed up his features, as if confused by something in his answer.

Lucky laughed and took the laptop from Winston. “I know just the site to take you to if you’re after shiny. Though leave it to a robot to be attracted to shiny things.”

“Why does that amuse you?” Calvin asked.

“Well, you see, buddy, on the outside, you look like us, but on the inside, you’re full of shiny things.

Metal. Computer chips. Minerals. I think it’s only natural for someone to want their outsides to match their insides.

” Lucky slid the laptop back over to Winston.

“These skirts have more sparkle than Winnie’s eyes when he saw you in that skirt today. ”

Winston put his hand on Calvin’s leg. “I want you to know that money isn’t an object. You can have whatever you like.”

“I’ve looked at the website and identified thirty-seven items that I would like to buy. Shall I order?”

“We can order, but usually people enjoy looking at this kind of thing together,” Winston said. “It’s a bonding ritual of sorts. We want to see what you like. We want the experience of shopping with you.”

“Yeah, and when all your purchases arrive, we get front row seats at the fashion show.” Lucky snuggled closer to Winston and leaned against his shoulder.

“It’s a date,” Calvin agreed. “Now, should we start browsing? There are approximately seven thousand items on that site alone to look at. And I’ve identified several more sites we can visit after.”

Normally Winston hated shopping of all kinds, but today, sandwiched between Lucky and Calvin, it felt a lot less like a chore and a lot like a normal night in with his boyfriends.
