36 Aubie #3
With my help, Cale could be the next star of Eros. That’s almost as exciting as doing it myself. Maybe I could start a whole school for noobs. Become the savant of stripping.
“Something I’ve always wondered,” I say, as the idea percolates in my head. “Where do these guys practice? I know I used to practice at home, but I have a big house. Most of these guys live in small apartments. And you don’t open the club for them to practice there, do you?”
“No.” He shakes his head. “I hadn’t really thought about it.”
“You need a practice facility. Somewhere all the dancers, in the house and the theater, can work out and practice routines.”
Why hadn’t I thought of this before? I’ve been buying up property around the city as an investment since I left college. There’s no rhyme or reason to it, I just buy stuff that appeals to me. I have no idea what I’m going to do with it. Hey, I get bored. I have money. Sue me.
Daryl sighs. “And where would I get something like that?”
“Well,” I drawl. “I just so happen to have a few buildings around town. Let me take a look at what I’ve got and get back to you.”
“And even if you have it, I don’t need a bigger loan.”
I can’t believe I’m going to say this. My father would absolutely have a stroke if he could hear me…
Now I have to do it.
“How about you let this be my part of your business?”
Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I like the idea. I could become world renown for training the best of the best.
Okay, maybe I’m getting ahead of myself, but it would be fun to have my own business. Something I created from my own mind.
“We could start a school for…the art of the flesh. Ooh, I like that.”
Daryl’s brows raise, then he frowns as if he’s going over the possibilities in his head. I know he’ll get it. Anyone who could dream up Eros would see the value of what I’m proposing.
“I like it,” he says at last. “How long would it take to get it going?”
“I can have something ready in a month.”
I don’t actually know if that’s reasonable, since I’m not a contractor, but I do know that’s about how long my patience would allow me to wait.
Timelines and deadlines can shift if you’re willing to pay, and nothing would bring me greater pleasure than spending Gauthier money to bring more sex into the world.
“Seriously? A month?” Daryl says.
I shrug. “Anything’s possible if you throw enough money at it.”
“Where were you when I was renovating the club?” he mutters.
“If you hadn’t given Jimi a job as your head bartender, I never would have known about Eros,” I tell him. “Better late than never, partner.”
I turn to Cutter. “And I never would have strutted into your life and ruined everything.”
He grins at me, and I swear the whole room gets brighter. “Yeah. Everything.”
I can’t stop myself from leaning forward and pressing my lips to his. Drinking in his taste. His smell.
I am so gone for this man.
“Fuck me,” Daryl mutters on the other side of me. “I’m going to call Cale back.”
I break away from Cutter and point my finger in Daryl’s face. “Do not hook up with Cale.”
His eyes widen. “Well, I’d say have at him, but I know you’re not hooking up with him, so what’s with the papa bear act?”
I can feel Cutter’s eyes on me. I know he doesn’t think I would be interested in Cale. Right?
“He’s going to be my first protégé.” I sound petulant to my own ears, so why not make it even better? “He can’t concentrate on his art if he’s lusting after the boss man.”
Daryl stares at me for a minute then throws back his head and laughs. “Are you writing a reality show right now?”
“You laugh, but you’ll thank me when he’s making you bank every night.”
He shakes his head. “No, you’re right.”
“If you want a certain kind of dancer, you’re going to have to train them.”
“Are you planning on doing that yourself?” he asks.
“I’ll do a little, especially the kinky stuff. But I’d hire people who know what they’re doing for everything else.”
Cutter leans close to me. “You’re really serious about this, aren’t you?”
“Yeah, I think I am. I’ve never…”
Been passionate about anything. Other than sex.
And Cutter.
And now this.
Chaton’s School for Gay Flesh Performers.
The name probably needs some work.
“…had a project before. Added benefit? Keeps me out of trouble.”
Cutter arches a brow. “Were you planning to get in trouble?”
The look in his eyes promises consequences. My cock twitches. Why the hell are we still here?
“I never plan to get in trouble.” Yeah, right. “Shit just happens.”
I can almost feel his hands on me. His rough fingers wrapped around my throat. His cock pressed against me. His lips devouring mine.
“Why don’t you two take off?” Daryl says. “I’ll get the check.”
I smirk at Cutter before turning to Daryl. “You sure?”
“Jesus, I can’t listen to you guys anymore. Get the fuck out of here before I do something I’ll regret.”
“Well, as much as I’d love to stay and find out what that is,” I quip, “I’d rather spend the time fucking the brains out of your head of security. See you tomorrow, Daryl.”
He gives me a sour look. “Yeah. Thanks for imagery.”
I reach across the table and pat his cheek. “You’re welcome. And stay away from Cale. He’s going to be a star.”
