I walked up behind Neville, who was shoving something down into his duffle bag. “Neville,” I called as I placed my hand gently on his shoulder, “I’m sorry. I behaved badly.”
Neville turned around to face me.
I leaned in and pressed my lips against his, but he didn’t respond at first. Then his tongue darted in between my lips and found my tongue. We kissed passionately for a moment.
“I don’t want you to go,” I whispered into his neck. “Not now, not like this,” I said.
“But I will have to leave at some point, you know,” he said, and I could tell without seeing that he was smiling.
“I know. When exactly will that be?”
“My ticket is dated for a week from now.”
I stepped back and slipped my T-shirt over my head. “Wouldn’t want you to incur any charges for making changes to your ticket,” I said, tossing the shirt to the floor and reaching for the waistband of my sweatpants.
“They can charge up to twenty-five percent of the ticket price,” Neville said as he unbuckled his belt and unzipped his pants.
“That’s a crying shame, a crying shame how much these airlines get away with!” I screamed as I threw my naked body against him, knocking him down onto the bed.
