Erik

I walk inside with determination; I need to apologize to Kayleigh. Between Eva being a cunt and me pushing her aside to deal with Eva’s shit, Kayleigh hasn’t been treated like seamrag bheag should be. I’m not an idiot. I know that her being withdrawn last night was her protecting herself. as much as I wanted to chase her, I figured I would give her some space. I’m surprised she never called or texted me after the gift I left for her though. Kayleigh is always appreciative when she receives something.

“Seamrag bheag, did you like the… what the fuck are you wearing?” I stop when I see Eva wearing the fucking red dress I bought for Kayleigh.

“What? I thought you’d want to see me in the gift you bought for me. It’s not my size, but I forgive you since you don’t know my size. This is such a nice gesture for the beginning of our relationship.”

“We are not in a relationship, nor we ever be again.”

“Come on, Erik. You have been giving me all your attention. I know you want me,” she says as she walks up and puts her hand on my chest. I take a step back, but she tries to touch me again, and I push her away.

“Don’t even think about it. The only reason I was giving you any attention is to figure what you are up to.”

“Now, Erik, why would I be up to anything?” she says in a purr.

“Because you’re a venomous bitch,” I say walking away from her and toward the stairs, hoping I will find Kayleigh in her room. I need some alone time with her. I will take her out and spoil her with a nice dinner and then end it with multiple orgasms.

“You won’t find her there.” I march back over to Eva, reaching into the back of my pants for my gun. She takes a step backward as I crowd her.

“Where is she?” I bark, holding my gun against her forehead. She tries to move away from me, but I put my hand on her chest, and with her back flush against the wall, there is nowhere for her to go.

“Why do men keep pointing guns at me over that redheaded Irish bitch?”

“Who else put a gun to your head?”

“I knew you cared about me, Erik.”

“I don’t give two fucks about you. Now fucking tell me or I will go visit that lover of yours. What’s his name…? Oh that’s right—Reed.”

“How? How do you know…?”

“How do I know about him? Because I knew divorcing you wouldn’t be enough to keep you away. I knew you would be back and knowing I have a sniper watching every move of your lover would be enough to keep your ass in line and out of my life.”

I pull my phone out and ask for a picture, and within thirty seconds, I have a great one of him outside his house. I show her my phone. “Go ahead and call him, see what he is doing,” I mock.

I watch as her shaky hands dial the number, and within two rings, I hear a deep voice pick up the phone.

I bend my head next to her ear and whisper, “Ask him.”

She clears her throat. “What are you doing?”

I pull back and watch as the color drains from her face.

“Oh, nothing. I just wanted to talk to you while I had a free minute.”

I cross my arms and smile at her smugly; such a two-faced bitch, look how easy she lies. I wonder if Reed knows what kind of woman he is letting into his bed. Maybe I should show him her true colors. After another minute of her fake love bullshit, she hangs up the phone.

“Now, are you going to cooperate, or do you want that to be the last time you talk to your precious Reed?”

“It was her brother.”

“Cillian?”

“No, the redheaded one, Oscar.”

“Why was I not informed that they were in my home?” I snarl. She shrugs her shoulders.

“Figured it didn’t matter since she had her bags packed and she was headed home.”

“She packed her bags?” She fucking planned this? When I get my hands on her, she is going to be too sore to sit after I use my belt to remind her who she is and who she belongs to.

“Yeah,” Eva responds like she doesn’t care, but I watch as her hands shake at her sides.

“Get out. You are no longer welcome in any of my homes.”

“What? Why? Because I didn’t stop your little whore from leaving? You know you could never want her for more than a fuck anyway.”

“Oh no. Unlike when I was forced to marry you and hated every second I had to spend with you, I actually want to be with Kayleigh and can’t wait for us to get married and have our own family.”

“Family?”

“Yes. I want a family with her.”

“You never wanted one with me.”

“Of course not. I would never punish any child by having you be their mother. You are a vengeful bitch, and if I had a choice of fucking you or cutting my cock off with a rusted knife, I would choose to cut it off.”

She opens her mouth again, but I cut her off by calling the guards. “Remove her and make sure it is known she is never allowed to take another step on my property ever again.” They nod and force Eva out.

I go into my office and see what guards let the O’Sullivans in and Kayleigh out. She belongs here at my side, and once I get done dealing with the guards, I will be getting her back.

Not much after that, I’m down in my basement with seven men lined up in front of me, Darius, Rowan, and Malcolm. The only reason Malcolm is down here is I want him to fully understand what will happen if he crosses me. I have been generous before when it comes to Eva and her family, but that stops today.

I take a few steps forward, crossing my arms over my chest. “Do you know why you are down here?”

“No, boss,” they all say.

“You let visitors inside my home without notifying me. Something could have happened to her… but something did happen. Didn’t it?” I pause and wait for them to say anything. “Want to tell me what happened to Kayleigh?” I ask.

“She left.”

“Yes, you let my future queen leave.” I hear a scoff behind me, and I know exactly where it is coming from. When I turn to see Malcolm roll his eyes, I pull my gun out and shoot him in the stomach. He drops to his knees holding the wound. “You better start finding your manners and respecting Kayleigh, or you won’t be alive to watch as we reign together. Now, to you seven. For your stupidity, you forfeit your lives.”

One of them starts begging, but I ignore him as I shoot the others in the head. As much as I would love to sit here and torture them, I have an Irish princess I need to chase down and bring home. I turn to my brothers and say, “Have them dealt with.” I pause and walk up to Malcolm, kicking him in the stomach, and he groans. I bend down and grab him by his hair, yanking it back so we are eye to eye.

“When she gets back, I expect you to drop to your knees and kiss her feet or you will be eating through a straw and so broke you will be letting people fuck your ass to get your next meal and not even your daddy will be able to save you,” I say letting go of him and as his head bounces off the concrete floor. I stand back up and face my brothers. “Have him patched up, but he can spend some time down here to reflect.”

I slam the door behind me as I make my way to my bathroom to wash up. I don’t want to be covered in filth as I call on my runaway princess. While I’m in the shower I let my thoughts catch take over.

I’m such an idiot for pushing her away. It should have been Eva I was pushing away, but I was so worried about what Eva might have had planned. I still don’t know what she has planned and that worries me. I know she can’t come into my home and wreak havoc that way, but Eva will find other ways to try and destroy my life. She has been bitter since we got divorced, and she didn’t get anything from me because of the prenup I had her sign. She thought she was slick enough that I wouldn’t catch her cheating on me, but because I had photo evidence of her affair, it was easy for my lawyer to get me divorced, and I got to keep all my properties and money.

The way she screamed right out the room when she found out she didn’t get anything from me; they had to call security when she tried to attack me.

I shake my head as I step out of the shower. I quickly get dressed before going to my office.

I hit her name on my phone and press it against my ear.

Ring…Ring…Ring.

This is Kayleigh. I can’t.

I hang up the phone. That definite little brat. You don’t want to answer a call, you will answer a text.

You either answer the call or I will get on my plane and fly to Ireland. I’m sure your family would love a visit from your future husband.

I wait and watch as she reads the message, than I call her again.

Ring…Ring…

Kayleigh: What do you want, Erik?

Erik: What do you think I want? I want to know why you left, seamrag bheag.

Kayleigh: I won’t stay where I’m not wanted.

Erik: What the fuck are you talking about?

Kayleigh: I was in the way of whatever plans Eva and Brodie have going on, and I want no part of that.

Erik: Doesn’t matter. I will be dealing with them; you are my seamrag bheag, and need to be at my side.

Kayleigh: I’m no longer your little clover. You need to leave me alone.

And with that, she hangs up the phone. As much as I want to call back, I know she is upset and will need time to cool down while I deal with this shit and before I bring her home. I don’t want to bring her home and have something happen to her. If she isn’t at my side, the next best thing is for her to be home with her family who I know will protect her.

I will give you space for now. Don’t think we are done. We aren’t, not by a long shot. We have the rest of our lives, and you are mine and only mine.
