Chapter 8
CHAPTER EIGHT
RAVEN
W ithin days, we’d settled into a good routine. One of the guys would drop me off at Rory’s to help with the kids, Zavier had helped the Psychos out again with the bar on Saturday night, and Ander managed to meet with Rory again to try and form a proper plan on Sunday alongside the Thieves.
Logan and Reid even got to help the Devils with some painting they were doing over the weekend at Devil’s Dungeon, so we’d all made some money, which was fantastic.
Gregory had spent all three days at Rory’s with Frank too, other than the nights, and with a little bit of encouragement from Rory, he’d brought his siblings and niece along on Saturday to play.
It had been a full house, but the kids had loved it, and Gregory could just be a kid and relax while we watched the younger ones. Joseph was more than happy to race remote controlled cars with his six-year-old sister, Xena, while the twins Sia and Paul, who were three, colored and watched TV.
Nancy stuck to me like glue as I held baby Maggie, their niece, being a little unsure of the big house.
By the time I’d gone home on Sunday evening, Rory had convinced Gregory to spend the night with the kids, offering to track down their mother to let her know.
I had zero idea what their mom was like, but between the night shifts and the fact that Gregory hadn’t seen her for a week now, my hopes of her being sober or safe were wearing thin.
“You feel like doing something tonight?” Reid asked as he drove us home, drawing my attention.
“Like what?”
“The track. I’m itching to race. With the new security cameras set up, we should be safe there. We haven’t personally had much trouble for a while, so maybe?—”
“You’re not naive enough to think they’ve just given up, right?” I asked dryly, turning a little in my seat to look at him. “They’re just laying low now that they’ve pissed the Reapers off.”
“I still think Dante did it.”
“I hope not. I think it would kill Ander to know his brother turned on him. If you think the track is safe enough, then sure. It would be nice to get out together. I don’t know how Beckett will handle Ander being there though,” I sighed, making him wince.
“Yeah. I think our best bet is to stay close to him. Who knows what those two would do to each other if they’re left alone without supervision.”
“So we can’t sneak off to fuck in your car?” I teased, his mouth curving into a grin.
“I can make Lopez babysit them if we need to.”
Sunday nights were usually quiet unless someone threw down a challenge, and since one of the car clubs from Magnolia Falls had come down this weekend, there had been plenty.
I was pretty sure it had been constant races from Friday afternoon, right through until now.
“As long as you don’t make me squirt again,” I said seriously, pulling my phone from my pocket as it rang. I frowned when I saw it was Cruz, answering it.
“Don’t panic,” he said as a way of greeting, which obviously made me fucking panic. “But Logan and Lopez got run off the road.”
“Why shouldn’t I fucking panic about that?” I snapped, Reid’s eyes darting to me in question.
“They’re okay. They were being followed, and I had eyes on them. Zavier was dragged out of the car, but Lavaro was already on the way and got there in time to handle it.”
“Why didn’t they call me?” I growled, hearing him sigh impatiently.
“It literally just happened. I’m watching them on the cameras as we speak. They’re just leaving the scene now. Lavaro’s guys showed up to deal with the mess, and Knox is on the phone to Lopez so we can guide them home if they run into more trouble. Logan asked me to call you.”
“They’re okay? They didn’t hurt Zav?” My voice was tight, and Reid scowled.
“What’s going on? What happened to the guys?”
I put the phone on speaker as Cruz answered my question so Reid could listen too.
“They didn’t crash, but they jerked the car off the road and into a field to avoid a collision. They’d been followed for a while and were boxed in. They’re both likely to bruise a little from the seat belt since they braked abruptly. Lopez was dragged out and punched in the scuffle, but that’s it. They’re both okay.”
“Ander?”
“Your mafia prince is unscathed, as usual,” he grunted, clicking away at his keyboard before adding, “He’s kind of impressive when he’s in alpha protective mode. There were three guys involved in the attack, and he took them all out in seconds with headshots. Man didn’t even blink.”
Ander was hardly unscathed, he was black and blue from Skeeter’s beating.
“They’re driving home now?” Reid asked, putting his foot down a little harder.
“Yep. They were in Blackwater, so it won’t take them long. I’ll watch them until they get to the house to make sure they don’t pick up another tail. Tracking you guys too just in case. I don’t get it though. Usually, mafia wars are more explosive.”
“Don’t fucking jinx it, dude,” Reid huffed, seeming to relax a little at knowing we had eyes on us. An alarm went off at the compound, and Reid motioned to the phone as if Cruz could see him. “See?!”
“It’s nothing serious,” he replied lightly.
“How do you know?”
“I don’t. I’m manifesting it,” Cruz deadpanned, typing away again. “Totally a false alarm. Looks like the Kings wanted to visit via the back door and didn’t tell us.”
There were muffled voices for a second before Penn’s voice came through the line.
“Hey, Raven. Sorry, Cruz had to go deal with that.”
“They’re letting you man the computers now?” I asked slowly, unsure if I liked that idea. She was still pretty new at thieving, let alone hacking and security.
“Yep! Cruz has been working with me for months. They figured since my shooting isn’t the best that maybe I’d be better at the desk. Knox took over watching the others, so I only have to keep an eye out for you and Reid.”
That made me feel a little bit better. Cruz wouldn’t leave her in charge if he thought she couldn’t handle it either, I needed to remember that.
Penn made small talk for the rest of the trip, filling me in on her job at Harley’s Bar. I was surprised she still worked there now that she was thieving regularly.
We beat the others home, and I didn’t hang up from Penn until Logan’s car came into view so she could update me if things had gone south.
Zavier’s cheek was red from what I assumed was a punch, but he was grinning at something Logan said as they got out of the car.
“Was it the mafia?” I asked instantly, hugging him tightly before hugging Logan too.
“Lavaro didn’t recognize them, but that doesn’t mean Stefano hasn’t hired more people,” Zavier replied just as Ander’s Supra pulled in. “We’re fine. Logan needs new pants though. He soiled his.”
“I did not,” Logan grumbled, giving me a kiss. “How was your day?”
“This isn’t a casual conversation you can divert from,” I scolded, smacking his chest.
“If you want us to strip naked so you can inspect us, I’m down for that,” he offered playfully, clearing his throat when I glared at him. “Sorry. You know my coping mechanism is to make a joke out of everything.”
“So you did shit your pants?” I asked, trying to fight my smile and failing.
“Don’t tell anyone,” he whisper-yelled, my eyes moving to Ander as he approached.
He looked fine, just like Cruz said he was, but I felt better seeing him with my own eyes.
“I handled it,” he said as if I wasn’t aware, taking my chin between his thumb and finger to tilt my face up for a kiss.
“It was hot too. Zavier’s got to watch out, or I’m leaving him for Lavaro,” Logan joked, batting his lashes at Ander. “My hero.”
“You’re not my type,” Ander scoffed.
“What is your type?”
“Raven. That’s it,” he grunted, taking my hand and leading me towards the house. “We should be safe tonight. They’ll regroup and come up with another plan. I’m expecting fire.”
“Why fire?” I asked with a groan, unlocking the door to let us all in.
“I told you it’s basically his calling card. When Stefano’s pissed, he burns shit. He was mad at me, so he burned my house. The question is, what will he burn if he’s pissed about today?”
I glanced at Logan and Zavier, trying to come up with something. Neither of them had anything, but Logan had his car.
“Maybe the Plymouth?” I suggested.
“Possibly. I’m wondering if we should put better security outside to keep an eye on the cars just in case.”
“Does this mean we shouldn’t go to the track tonight?” Reid asked, double checking the door was locked once we were all inside.
It sounded like a bad idea to go, but Ander shrugged. “I doubt they’ll come after Zav again tonight. It might take Stefano a day or two to even realize his men are dead. That gives us time.”
“Or they show up and gun us all down,” Logan muttered, and Ander rolled his eyes.
“You guys are used to dealing with street rats, not mafia. Stefano is calculated, he won’t be expecting his men to report back until late tonight or tomorrow as he probably sent them on the job without knowing when they’d run into you. Unless they called to confirm they’d seen you, Stefano doesn’t know shit. His money talks, but it’s a lot of fucking around and hush money if he does something public. It would take a lot for him to lose his cool and make a move like that.”
“I’m not trusting your logic. Sorry, man,” Reid stated, motioning to me. “Would you bet Raven’s life on it?”
When Ander hesitated, I knew the answer. Just because Stefano didn’t usually make a bold public move, didn’t mean he wouldn’t.
“I’m going to go and shower. Zav, you’re with me,” I said firmly, wanting to look him over properly. The guys grumbled about it not being fair, but Zavier happily ignored them and followed me towards the bathroom.
He silently stripped off so I could inspect the damage better, knowing exactly why I’d told him to come with me.
“I won’t lie and say it wasn’t a bad situation. If we’d crashed at the speed we were going, we’d probably be dead,” he finally stated when I didn’t speak.
“How fast were you fucking going?”
“The limit. The speed isn’t the problem. It’s the sudden stop that could’ve been,” he joked, wincing as I smacked his stomach with the back of my hand. “Sorry. If we’d hit a tree or something, it would’ve been bad. It was either hit the car in front, or pull off into the field. Thankfully, the land has recently been sold, so they’re only just putting a new fence in. We found a gap.”
“We can’t live like this, Zav,” I sighed, stepping closer so I could rest my forehead on his chest.
“We won’t have to for long. Ander and Rory will figure it out, and then things will go back to normal. It’s hard to form a plan when we can’t find the fucker though. I was talking to Stone about it today, and he said they can’t find their main base or anything. They have good tech and hackers of their own, so they’re hiding more easily than anyone else could.”
“Why haven’t they come after me again? I’m always expecting them to.”
He winced, cupping my cheek. “You’re one of the only things he could use against the rest of us, that’s why. I don’t think they’d gun you down, but they’d be likely to take you and hurt you to make us fall into line. He knows Ander’s here and that he’s siding with me, which is why he’s getting annoyed. Family loyalty is everything to the mafia, and Ander’s only loyal to us.”
“That’s because we’re his family,” I said firmly, a smirk spreading across his face.
“I wish I could record this conversation and send it to the Raven from a few months ago. She’d hate to know you fell for Lavaro.”
“Shut up,” I scolded, not being able to help but smile about it.
“I got naked. It’s your turn,” he replied, tugging at my shirt. “I heard a good cure for a black eye is eating pussy.”
“Is that right? Doctor’s orders?”
“I even got a second opinion, and they agreed,” he chuckled, dropping his mouth to mine as his fingers dipped into my sweats and panties to push them down. I pulled my shirt over my head and kicked my pants off as he unclasped my bra, backing me towards the shower so he could turn the water on.
My hand wrapped around his cock and he instantly hardened, one of his hands going to my hair to keep my head back. His touch was gentle, but his kisses were hard, frying my damn brain as he tugged me into the shower with him.
He instantly dropped to his knees and licked my pussy, my hips jerking from the contact, and I had no idea how he wasn’t drowning since the water was raining down on his damn head.
“You always taste so fucking good,” he mumbled against me, grazing my clit with his teeth and sliding a finger inside me. My fingers tangled in his hair, my body begging for a release already as he focused on my clit, a stupidly attractive moan leaving him.
“Zav—”
“Hearing you beg me to make you come is so fucking hot,” he said as he came up for air for two seconds before adding a second finger and flicking his tongue back and forth over my clit until I almost collapsed, my hand pulling his head closer as I exploded.
I shoved my free hand over my mouth to muffle my cries, grinding against his face as I rode out my orgasm.
How could I be so satisfied but still crave more at the same time?
A shudder rolled through me as Zavier stood and wrapped his arms around me, lifting me so he could work his way inside my still pulsing pussy.
I couldn’t really help, so I locked my arms around his neck to hold on as he thrust into me.
“So. Fucking. Good.” I was pretty sure he was talking to himself, not me.
I fisted his hair to tug his head back so I could kiss him, his arms tightening a fraction as he let out a groan and slowed. He kept kissing me, his cock pulsing inside me as he stopped moving, both of us panting by the time he pulled back.
My legs shook slightly as he put me down, and he gently pulled me under the water more so he could help clean up the mess he’d made.
“I have no idea how I’m supposed to keep up with all four of you,” I admitted, earning a frown from him as his hand gently moved between my legs to wash me.
“You’re not here for our sexual entertainment. You sleep with any of us whenever you want, and that’s it.”
“I want to fuck you guys all the time, my body says no though,” I laughed, reaching out to wash his cock. He thrust into my hand, his lips skimming my forehead.
“Trust me, we want that too, but we also couldn't keep up.”
“How can I juggle my time evenly though? Do we start having gangbangs?”
“We can run a train through you if you want,” he grinned, his fingers brushing my clit. “I’m okay watching, so if you want to start trying more group activities?—”
“I want to try with all four of you, but I don’t know how that will work.”
Embarrassment washed through me at how dumb I sounded, but he started rubbing small circles on my clit, his voice low. “You’re not supposed to know things that you haven’t done before, Rae. Let us teach you and trust us to look after you.”
My eyes fluttered closed as he kept teasing me, and I had to grab his bicep to keep myself up as he pushed me over the edge again. It wasn’t as intense as the last one, but it still felt good.
“I love you guys so much,” I whispered as he let me recover, his eyes studying my face.
“Even Ander?”
I nodded, feeling a little awkward about it. “How do I tell him something like that? Will I freak him out? What if?—”
He chuckled, grabbing the body wash and washing me properly. “Just say it to him. You won’t send him running for the hills. Promise.”
I helped wash him too, and once we were both washed and dried, we headed naked into the bedroom to find clothes.
“I like this,” Reid stated as he appeared in the doorway, eyeing me like I was his next meal. “And I really like hearing you come.”
“I don’t think I’ll ever get used to you talking to me like that,” I said with a smirk, squealing as he walked up behind me and threw me naked over his shoulder. He swatted my bare ass, making me let out a surprised and confused sound that was similar to a moan.
“Oh, you liked that?” he asked in a low voice, swatting me again. “Is that why you’re so disobedient? You want to be punished?”
“Put me down,” I scolded, lifting my head enough to see who’d just walked in.
Logan leaned against the door frame, his arms crossed and a hungry look in his eyes.
“Guys, we don’t have time for this,” Logan murmured, his eyes not leaving me.
“We can make some time,” I said without thinking, and Reid chuckled as he put me back on my feet.
“Logan’s right. We need to go, unfortunately.” His hand brushed my ass and I almost told them I didn’t want to go anymore, but I knew how badly they'd been wanting to race.
I forced myself to walk back to the wardrobe, making all three of them groan as I bent over to grab some panties from the bag I’d shoved in there.
Zavier muttered to himself as he got dressed, and I fought a giggle when Reid told him to shut up since he’d literally just been inside me.
“Dibs on Bluebird,” Ander said as we all walked into the living room, Logan scowling.
“Excuse me?”
“I didn’t stutter, Donahue,” he said flatly, jiggling his keys at me to hurry me along.
I flipped him off but walked over to him, my eyes widening when he handed them to me.
“You want me to drive? What if we get shot at or something? I can’t drive like you!”
“You can’t shoot like me either,” he said seriously, making sure his gun was loaded before slipping it into his pants.
“You’re just marking your territory. Everyone knows that car’s your baby,” Reid said, but there was no bite in his tone. It actually looked like he was happy about it.
“That too,” Ander grinned, taking my hand. “Let’s go.”
Zavier double checked the house was locked up since he was the last out, and Ander opened the driver’s door for me and waited for me to slide in, closing it behind me.
I started the car as he made his way around to the passenger seat, letting it warm up a little before backing out of the driveway. I stalled it once, getting frustrated as I pulled over on the road to wait for the others to back out so we could all travel together.
“Hey. Breathe. Focus on the car, you’ll feel and hear what it needs,” Ander said calmly.
“It’s so different to drive. Reid’s is powerful, but?—”
“You just have to give it a little gas. The clutch is a dick sometimes, even I stall it,” he promised, making me snort.
“I doubt that.”
“I do. This car isn’t made for Sunday drives along a country road, Raven. It’s a machine made for racing. There’s nothing slow about racing,” he chuckled, patting my thigh. “Go on. Time to show everyone who I belong to.”
That made my stomach do stupid little flips. He knew it too from the way he smirked at me.
I took a deep breath before checking that the car was in gear and easing off the clutch, managing to hold it steady as I added the gas.
“Little more gas, baby.”
I did as he told me, the car moving a lot smoother as I got moving and shifted through the gears.
“Why do you want everyone to know we’re together so badly?” I asked randomly, glancing in my rearview mirror to make sure both Logan’s and Reid’s cars were following.
“Why wouldn’t I?”
I shrugged, not really knowing what else to say. I was used to hanging around the guys, but being their girlfriend was a whole different thing.
I knew they were hot, they always had girls hanging off them, so I wasn’t sure how to handle what was coming. Girls would make their way over when we arrived, and I didn’t want to look like the crazy girlfriend for shooing them away, but I was panicking a little that the guys wouldn’t shoo them away either.
I didn’t think they’d sleep with them, but they’d always revelled in the attention.
“Get out of your head,” Ander murmured. “There’s no girl that could get between you and us. Promise.”
“I’m not worried.”
“Good. When we get home we’ll make sure to prove it,” he grinned, turning his attention to his phone.
He was right, I had to stop it.
We drove through the entrance to the track and made our way to the other side where we usually parked, and I somehow managed to reverse into an empty spot on the grass beside Jett’s steel-gray Camaro without stalling. Logan and Reid parked on our other side, and I climbed out and came face to face with Beckett.
She visibly relaxed at seeing it was me, her eyebrow raising. “He’s really trying to manipulate you if he’s letting you drive his baby.”
“Eat shit,” Ander said from the other side of the car, giving me a wink. “Raven knows she’s my baby.”
“Ugh, you’re falling for that bullshit?” Beckett scowled at me, and I fought to keep the embarrassment off my face.
“Yeah, I know. I turned into one of those girls.”
Jett appeared, draping an arm around Beckett’s shoulders to tug her back a step. “Don’t let Beck get to you. She’s one of those girls too when me or Maddox say sweet shit to her.”
She elbowed him, and he laughed, walking off to bump knuckles with Logan.
“I heard Lopez got attacked today,” Beckett said bluntly, her eyes pinned on Ander. “Good thing you showed up, right?”
Ander rolled his eyes, resting his arms on top of his car to face us. “It wasn’t a coincidence. I was called. Stop reaching, Donovan. I’m not the enemy.”
“You are in my book,” she muttered.
“So, the car club guys still around?” I asked, changing the subject and making her face turn from irritation to amused.
“Oh yeah, they keep hurting their egos by challenging me. It’s been real fun. Riley’s been kicking their asses for the past hour.”
“And loving it too, I bet,” Ander chuckled, scanning the area around us. It was almost dark, but the track was lit up with insane lights.
“Looking for someone?” Beckett hummed, and Ander didn’t even glance at her.
“Yeah. The Magnolia Falls guys.”
“You want to challenge them or something?”
“I wouldn’t mind racing Vaughn. He keeps me on my toes.”
“You know them?” I asked, and I shouldn’t have been surprised. Ander seemed to fucking know everyone.
He nodded, looking over at me. “Vaughn runs the club. Him and his boys have done car meets that I’ve attended before, and they came to my races a few times back at the beginning.”
“Cool story,” Beckett sighed, not at all interested. “They’re parked down on the west end near the food stands.”
He walked around to us and I handed him his keys. I stepped out of his way so he could open the door, and he frowned at me. “Aren’t you coming?”
“You want me to?”
“Of course I do,” he said slowly, seeming confused.
I glanced over at the others to find them deep in conversation with Jett and Maddox, finally nodding. “Okay. I’ll just let the guys know.”
Not wanting to leave him alone with Beckett for long, I quickly moved around the car and headed over to Reid, his arm instantly circling my waist.
“I wouldn’t leave them alone,” Reid joked, having no shame in dropping his hand to my ass and giving it a small squeeze. “Unless this is the booty call you wanted, then I’ll make the guys babysit like I promised.”
I grinned, shaking my head slightly. “No booty call, sorry. Ander knows the Magnolia Falls guys and asked me to head over with him. Just didn’t want to wander off without telling you.”
“He’s training you,” he teased, dropping a kiss on my lips and definitely making a few people glance in our direction. Publicly touching Reid felt strange, but I hoped the other girls around here got the memo.
Then again, I almost wished someone would push the boundaries so I could get in a fight. I missed that rush already.
“Fuck off, asshole,” I grumbled as I swatted him, startling when Ander honked the horn. “That man is insufferable.”
“You like that he pisses you off,” he said knowingly, turning me to face the Supra. “Go have fun.”
I saluted him and headed over to Ander’s passenger seat, ignoring the argument Beckett and him were having through the open window. She backed away and he flipped her off before revving the car and steering it through the crowd, making his way along the designated road to where Beckett had said the guys were.
There were a lot of people I recognized on this side, but a lot that I didn’t.
Ander revved as he slowed and parked next to a blue Nissan GT-R R34, music blaring from one of the cars close by as the group stood around talking.
“What kind of guys are they? Do I need to be on guard?” I asked dryly, earning a flat look in return.
“They’re cool. You should always be on guard though.”
He climbed out and I followed, my eyes moving between the cars and people to take it all in.
“Turbo! I heard you were around here somewhere,” one guy grinned as we approached, his eyes flicking to me.
“People still call you that stupid name?” I asked under my breath. The guy smirked as he heard me, but Ander ignored it and spoke to the guy instead.
“Vaughn. I heard you guys are embarrassing yourselves. Even I can admit Beckett’s a challenge that I don’t like to take on too often.”
“Who’s your friend?”
“Girlfriend,” he happily corrected, sliding an arm around my shoulders. “Raven, Vaughn.”
“Kai, Asher, Levi,” Vaughn replied, pointing to his buddies, who gave me a small wave in greeting. “You race, Raven?”
“Passenger princess,” Ander said before I could, and I elbowed him in the stomach with a scowl.
Vaughn grinned, running his eyes over me once more before replying. “You keep him in line, babe. The man needs it.”
“Eyes off,” Ander warned, lifting his chin at Asher. “Where’s Zeke?”
Asher rolled his eyes, crossing his arms and leaning back on a red Mitsubishi Evo. “The Supra’s in the shop and his latest not-girlfriend whined about him being gone for too long, so he stayed behind. Fucker was meant to be my passenger princess for the weekend.”
I narrowed my eyes on him and he gave me a taunting look, but I didn’t pick a fight. These were Ander’s friends, and I really shouldn’t have given a fuck what they thought of me.
“It’s in the shop again?” Ander grunted, and Vaughn chuckled.
“Yeah. Blew the head gasket again.”
“Does he make a habit of that?” I asked slowly, and Ander grinned.
“Every car that man has owned, he’s blown it up. Great racer, but he overdoes the burnouts sometimes. Usually while trying to impress a girl.”
“Speaking of impressing a girl, how about you race me so I can embarrass you in front of yours?” Kai offered, tilting his head in challenge.
“You think your Impreza can keep up with the Supra? Have you done some work on it since the last time I smoked you?”
“Very funny,” he chuckled, motioning to me. “Your girl’s safe with the guys.”
“She rides with me,” Ander said sharply, making Kai put his hands up.
“Chill, dude. I didn’t mean anything by it.”
“You want to race him, baby? You’d win,” Ander deadpanned, holding his keys out to me and making the guys laugh.
“I’m good,” I said dryly, tensing when Chelsea Hartmann appeared with a beer in hand.
“Raven? Where have you been? I tried to find you at the party but you’d vanished,” she said with surprise, and I had to force myself not to flinch at the mention of it.
“Uh, hey. Yeah, I had to leave.”
“Did you hear about Devon and Michael?”
“Car accident?” I managed to get out, Ander moving to stand beside me. His hand rested on my lower back, and I leaned into him slightly.
She nodded, sipping her beer before talking again. “They were both super drunk. They’d been driving back from a road trip, apparently. Someone said they left the party to go. I thought they were with you when I couldn’t find you.”
My hands were sweating, and I scowled. “I wouldn’t go anywhere with Devon, and you know it.”
“That’s why I was looking for you. I was worried. He could be a prick when he wanted to be, and I know he liked to target you. I’m glad you’re okay. I can see you upgraded from Michael, he was bad news.”
“Why didn’t you keep an eye on her then?” Ander asked bluntly, and I elbowed him.
“Be nice. Cami was the one that was supposed to look out for me, not Chelsea.”
“Cami’s a mess,” Chelsea said with a wince.
“She’s off the rails again?” I asked, and she nodded.
“She’s been sleeping at the Pit in some car she bought. It’s a piece of shit, but she got kicked out of her place so it’s all she’s got right now. If you’re looking for her, she’s usually parked around the Heights. Have a beer with me, the guys chased you away last time, and I’d like us to be friends.”
Ander was tense, but I patted his chest confidently. “You go race, I’ll stay here. The guys are okay, right?”
He sighed, knowing I’d get my way. “Yeah, they’ll keep an eye out. Right, Vaughn? You wouldn’t even let the mafia near my girl, would you?”
“That’s not funny,” I scolded, but Vaughn waved his hand dismissively.
“You know we’ve got her. Go humble Kai a little.”
Kai flipped him off, and Ander dipped down to give me a kiss. “Stay close to them. You need to pee? You take one of them with you.”
“You need to relax, man. She’s fine,” Vaughn said with amusement, giving me a grin. “We’ll be besties in no time, right, Raven?”
“Can’t fucking wait,” I said sweetly, making him laugh.
Ander gave me one last look before heading to his car and starting it, Kai doing the same in his. We had a good view of the track from here, so I motioned for Chelsea to follow me as we got closer to the fence.
